One of my absolute favorite spots in Winona! I crave the paninis more than I'd care to admit & their bakery items are delectable. My favorite are the 1$ day old ones in a box above the case. The staff has never failed in being so welcoming and friendly. I particularly had a great experience with a gorgeous Megan M. who was genuinely kind and funny. The decorations and vibe are comfy. Between the incredible lattes, baked fresh daily scones (among many baked goods, but I always get the scone), and the lovely owner, Amy Jo, and the great overall staff, this is one of my favorite places to frequent in Winona. I stay there for work about 100 days a year and go to Blooming Grounds at every chance. I like the breakfast food but lunch sandwiches and cute atmosphere (pre-covid live music) make it one of my favorite places to visit in Winona. Shout out to the hottest coffee house in Winona! The food is outstanding, especially the grilled flatbread with the spicy feta cheese spread.... Oh and the caprese pizza! So good. And made fresh! The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming! I go here to study and have a delicious caramel latte and then on Wednesday and Friday nights, I like to go here to enjoy some live music, have some apps and maybe one or five glasses of wine ;) staff are super friendly, fun, and caring of their customers. highly recommended! read more

Definitely worth the visit! I went here a couple of times while visiting my mom in Winona. The location is super convenient in downtown, and chalk it up to nostalgia or sentamentality but I really enjoyed seeing all different types of Winonans hanging out there. Both the latte and chai were very good, as well as the pastries. I wish my slice of quiche was a bit fresher. The ambience and spacious size was great for bringing my laptop and doing some work there, though I wish it wasn't so dark in the back area. read more

I love the lobster bisk soup like it is super delicious and a melt in your mouth. I wish they didn't have it as a soup of the day and instead a soup you can request anytime. Their Thai Chicken Peanut is a bit spicy for me, but pretty good. The wraps and paninis are super good. read more

Went for lunch & had their panini & soup combo. I ordered the lobster bisque & a prime rib panini. The lobster bisque was just ok. Nothing amazing. They messed up on my panini so I told them & they made me another one. The new one they made me I think they rushed because it was cold on the inside, the meat, mushroom, spinach... the first one I had was really nice & hot all through out. The prime ribs also leaked blood on the second one. I just wished they kept the quality consistence. All, it was around 10 bucks for lunch. The staff was nice though read more

I don't know why I keep going back - there is one girl in particular that is not friendly, and she always makes me feel like it's MY fault for my order being wrong. Coming from a college kid, Blooming Grounds is seriously the best. Great coffee, amazing desserts, all of their food is fresh and delicious! Hands down have the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. I was recently at the Express location on Huff Street and I was very impressed. The space is very modern and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating and the presentation of the food as phenomenal. Becca and Jenni were the employees and were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back and this is my new favorite spot in town. read more
