Walking through this store is an absolute dream. Must have stayed here over an hour admiring all of the pieces. Came in specifically to check out a desk I had been eyeing online. So glad we saw it in person because we decided it might be impractical for us when we tested it out. Fell in love with a sleek grey desk lamp that was on display but the color we wanted is backordered for several months. The associate says we have option to cancel before it ships out so that's nice. Shipping is pretty expensive so be sure to come in person to make sure you love the product. Cool framed photos of initial furniture design plans flanking the hallway to the bathroom. For months we walked by this store at times they were not opened and in the window they had this cool looking chair I wanted to try out. On Superbowl sunday we stopped in to try out the chair (see photo). Not bad--I could lay on it for a few hours to watch TV or read. It provides good support. It's made of leather and comes fully assembled made in the USA. Cost: $2K! So we were not biting. I thought it would be 500.00 before the salesman told us. That's 2K plus tax and freight. Yikes! My friend who took the photo of me was laughing the whole time because she thought it looked like a Doctor's exam table. read more

Awesome browsing experience today. Per website, they're asking for appointments so I made one but I think if you just strolled in you wouldn't be turned away (more for Covid control). This was my first time in the showroom - wow everything looks much better in person (which it already looks bomb online hehe). Very impressed at quality for the price point, especially their rugs! Super customer service too - shout to Jonathan for helping me! FYI everything has to be ordered and there is no stock at the showroom so be prepared to wait a week or two, but it's totally worth it. Bad experience with trying to get delivery right. Wrong address, despite giving them the right delivery address. No accountability or timeliness for correcting the orders, or even an apology for getting it wrong multiple times. It's weeks past what should have been the delivery date and I have nothing. Will not be shopping here again. read more

We spent $14,000 on furniture at Blu Dot in LA less than 3 years ago. A "One Night Stand" sofabed we paid $1999 for has a majkr spring problem. Blu Dot says they guarantee for only one year but they'd give us 20% off on a new sofa (now priced ar $2199. That would mean we'd have about $3700 invested in a sofa now selling for $2199 with no guarantee it wouldn't fall apart too. Blu Dot headquarters has not responded to a letter. Pretty shoddy customer service. Our sofa was slept on once as a bed and used as a sofa (by one person weighing 157 pounds) for an hour or two most days. So be careful on what you buy at Blu Dot. Any problem and you're on your own. read more

Ordered a Sunday sectional online and the experience has been horrible. When we originally placed our order, the website said it would be in stock 12/15/21 (we ordered a couple months prior to this date). We received NO communication afterwards that there were any delays. Their website tracking capabilities stink (they do not update). We called in early December to check the status and had to leave a message - did this twice - with no response. Then we called again and were told it would be "in stock" the 15th of December, but would then take 10-15 days to ship and another 5-7 for delivery. No further communication was ever shared. On December 27 and 28, we called, left messages and no one replied. Then on the 29th we called and were told it would now be available on February 2nd. Blu Dot has terrible customer service, terrible responses, and the tracking and delivery dates are all wrong. Considering cancelling, and will definitely never place an order with them again. read more

I love Blu Dot. The price is not too high and not too cheap... right in the middle. Don't expect cheap wayfair prices, expect something slightly more expensive then west elm while being quite a bit more unique as well. Having a store here gives confidence when you're indecisive while looking at online pictures. read more

I'm writing to give a huge shout out to Jonathan Laguna who helped me with several purchases during Blu Dot's October sale, and more recently, with some small holiday gifts (trays and baskets). From point A to point End, his communication was superb. Jonathan also helped me select a rug that would be easy to clean -- we have two dogs and some rugs trap their fur -- and I've LOVED it! I also purchased a new Nook Bed -- bought one 10+ years ago and loved it so much, I wanted a replacement -- and the Lid Bed. The arched headboard is beautiful in our 1933 Spanish. Thanks Blu Dot LA. The pieces they make are f&#$ing awesome. I love how they're all unique, simple and clean looking. I went to the showroom to look at a couch and coffee table, but they didn't have the color/fabric that I was interested in. The sales associate that assisted me was extremely helpful and handed me samples in bunches so that I could get a better gauge of how it would appear with my other items. I feel kind of bad if the associates earn commission in store, but I ended up ordering items through their website, which also had a couple other sale items at the time as well. If you want some modern and unique looking furniture at a reasonable, still kind of pricey (to me at least) price, this is the place to get it. read more

Finally finished my furniture shopping with some clean Barstool Barstools. I rate this store a 3 star for good product but alright quality control and service. Employees were really nice, check out was a breeze and they kindly agreed to have the products delivered to the store for me to pick up. I was happy with the purchase but on my way home I checked the receipt and they mistakenly ordered the counterstool counterstools rather than the barstool barstool. I called and they promptly emailed me a new receipt with the right info. (close one) A week later I got a routing number that didn't work and found out they were delivering to my apt that didn't have a front door man to accept for me. I called and they said they would try to intercept the delivery. The next day, they called me back and found out the routing number was wrong and they had to wait till monday before they find out the correct routing number. Monday came and I get a call from fedex asking if they can leave the package in front of my door. I took the risk and 7 hours later my package was still there. I started assembling my stools and with all the wrong things that could happen with the order I find out that one of the barstools was missing a bolt. read more

I was looking for bar stools that were unique with a height that was not norm (approx 25 inches). I searched the internet but they all seem to look the same; and the ones that were different looking were too high for my table. After several days of searching, I came across Blu Dot Knicker stools 25.5 inches tall in neutral colors and very nice material. I found them on one of those all modern furniture websites but wanted to see them in person so I explored further and found that Blu Dot had stores. Turns out this store was literally 4 blocks from my apartment. I had walked by it so many times and never paid attention. LOL!!! When I saw the stools in person, I fell in love as I had online and bought 2 barstools. They are very good quality and I still love them after several months! read more

I went to the store Saturday August 1st. The website indicated they were open 12-5. I drove from Santa Barbara. I got there around 1:30. The door was locked with I think only one sales person. He came to the door and wouldn't let me in because I didn't have an appointment. There was no one in the store that is about 5000 square feet. Obviously I was upset about the 1.5 hour drive and no warning on the website that I needed an appointment. What would have been the harm in letting me in? No one was inside this big store. I went to design within reach where they were open, courteous and helpful. I'll be shopping there. Never at Blu Dot. read more

looking from the outside, it looks like an upscale classy place. However, the items are extremely overpriced for the quality you pay. In addition, the customer service is suboptimal. If there is damage to your furniture on delivery, they will not handle the warranty. You have to deal with the delivery service warranty which is a nightmare and sometimes nonexistent. they use the worst delivery service. You'll never win. Don't bother purchasing from this company. Their warranty is worthless and they will use every trick in the book to deny the warranty. read more

I purchased a New Standard bed. The product is terrific, but this review is about their customer service. One shipping package arrived damaged, and the contents were damaged as well. I sent an email, documented with a couple phots, and they resolved it immediately, offering refund/return, immediate shipment of a replacement, or a discount. Not to be confused with Blueprint Furniture, which has lower-quality designer knock-offs great for TV set movie sets but terrible for actual life, Blu DOT is awesome. Blu Dot designs AND makes all of their furniture in-house. It seems to be very high quality, uses real wood (not particle chip board), and somehow manages to keep their prices super competitive (if you're looking at handmade furniture, like from Room and Board). So happy with my Blu Dot finds. 4 floating shelves that I got off the floor for a discount. A watermelon Strut table, which I snatched up for 60% off during the floor model sale (Highly recommend looking out for those; you can get amazing deals). Also have a media console (again, floor model. but looks new. love it so much!), and a Nook bed. All 4 pieces are unique, functional and well-made. I think they're totally all worth it at full price. But if you want them for a real steal, make sure you visit them during their floor model sales (I think they do them 3x times a year). read more

Let me paint a picture....I had to decorate an entire apartment in 2 days. I came tearing into the Blu dot showroom looking for good finishing pieces. The sales staff was so friendly and helpful as I took pictures of bar stools, art, lamps...etc. I ended up leaving and calling them later that afternoon deciding on a bar stool with a back koozie(yes like the beer holders but for a chair...it's rad) and a great piece of art. When I came to pick up next morning everything was wrapped up and ready to roll. After shopping in many furniture stores all over Culver City and West Hollywood, it was a real treat to not be ignored and treated like a VIP client. Eric, Michael and Theresa you are first class.
