I had the Sweet & Sour Shrimp (lunch portion), served with fried rice & a vegetable egg roll. This came with seven medium size shrimp. This place is a gem in the GVR town center. You must come visit. They offer take out and dine-in option. We ordered some traditional favorites: lo mein and chicken fried rice. They came with a veggie egg roll each, and wow. So good. The menu was varied and looks like there is something for everyone. Food came out fast and was hot and fresh with great flavors. Writing review on empty stomach! At 12:21 pm ordered egg rolls, panang curry, and boba. I love panang curry! It arrived by 1 pm, i opened the sack and it was apparent it wasn't panang curry, or at least not like any panang I have ever been served. I called the restaurant and was asked to try it and see if I liked it. I tried a small amount and it was okay, but not what I ordered. They said the would send some. So, I waired and waited and waited. At about 2:30 pm I called back, they suggested I order something else, at this point I said just aend some pad thai. Then they started to charge th two dollars extra....thats when I said just send what I ordered. The cook got involved and in between them providing service and checking out other customers they informed me that it was the panang, I kept explaining panang had reddish tones and is made with coconut milk. It was frustrating that they hadn't even seen what they sent and wouldn't replace ad they had intially promised. The resolution was that I didn't get my meal, and they refunded eight dollars. We were visiting in the area and saw this place while we drove by. We grabbed a menu and took it back to our hotel. The cool thing is that they deliver with orders over $12, if you're within a 4-mile radius. We ordered Singapore Rice Noodles, Taiwan Noodles, Chicken with Broccoli, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. Our order of over $30 gets us free cheese wontons too. The food was delivered to us within the specified time frame, about 30-40 minutes. The portions for the noodles were HUGE! Definitely a good price for those dishes. The honey walnut shrimp was decent, but a little more watery than I'm used to. My husband loved the chicken with broccoli, though he said later that he thought maybe the restaurant uses MSG because his heart was beating funky and he had a bit of a headache. The free cheese wontons were pretty oily and rich, but I guess that's what you expect from something that's deep-fried and filled with cream cheese. Oh well, they were free. I had an event coming up and ordered 40-50 egg rolls, I asked the lady that helped me place my order if I needed to pay for the order now or at the time of picking it up. She told me I could pay when I picked up the order. I could tell there was a degree of unprofessionalism due to the fact that the girl helping me was on FaceTime and in between talking to me and answering my questions, she was talking to someone else on the phone. Flash forward to a week before my event I called again to confirm that the order would be ready. I asked again do I need to pay now, the lady over the phone said no that I could pay when picking it up. I tried to reserve a time to pick it up and she said I could come in at any time that day to pick it up. This sounded odd to me so I confirmed with her by repeating exactly what she said and she said yes I could come in at any time. The day of my event comes and it's 4 hours before the start time and I call them to let them know that I am on my way to pick up my order. The woman on the phone seemed confused. She then proceeded to tell me that because I had not paid for my order yet they had not started the order but if I came in and paid they would have it ready in an hour. I didn't have an hour to spare, I had other priorities to attend to. I told her that I was promised that my order would be ready and I could pay and pick it up. Instead of taking ownership of the situation and apologizing she said the ladies I spoke to last week and when I created my order a month ago quit so it wasn't her fault but if I wanted to come in I could speak to the owner about it. My other half was impressed by the meat/seafood dishes but most of all the Pu Pu Platter. He loves those! I found several dishes ,besides the obligatory Mixed Vegetables. Good for me since most places offer 1 or 2 selections. The soup came first, my big guy felt funny but I told him eat since he hasn't eaten well lately. The soup was tastey,hot ,not thick or watery and very good. He loved it. Although he didn't finish it ,he ate a hefty portion. My platter came out hot and I was surprised at the large portion. Lucky me since I was counting on taking some home. Now, I love hot and spicy and was expecting heat. It was mild to me BUT since I'm not 100% it was fine. Besides, I can always add Sriracha or garlic chili for flavor.,no problem. I read some reviews, heck one was even hours before we got here, and we're both not sure what happened but our visit was fine,no issues. Maybe the owners read these reviews and take action to improve or just a quirk at that time. Everyone in here eating seemed happy and the servers were attentive.
