I refused to revisit Chang's after a few visits. One time, I was sitting waiting for my take-out food for 15 mins while it was sitting there ready. Anyway, onto Bluebay. My wife likes it. I thought it was only mediocre. After today's visit i changed from mediocre to bad. - Got a Tsing Tao and it was warm, right of the box, gross. - Nobody there - Lady on the phone for the second half of our visit, even while paying, etc. - Vegetables in my sesame chicken were wilted and not appetizing, needless to say did not eat them. - Sweet and sour sauce was brown - Tables smelled like dirty sponge Overall, not too keen on going back. read more

I have dined-in on 3 occasions and have ordered take-out twice. The food is always fresh and tasty and is less greasy that many Chinese restaurants that I have been to. The dishes arrive at the table fast, decor is fresh and clean, staff is friendly and accomodating. I love the hot and sour soup! I'm very picky about food. I havent found many places I like in Colorado, much less in Thornton. I can be a bit of a nut when it comes to cleanliness, the food tasting fresh, etc. As a result, we pretty much only eat at home or Chipotle. The other night, we got take-out from Blue Bay. It was delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is kind and accommodating. They have dollar beers (next time we will dine in!!). I ordered Kung Pao Chicken. The chicken was delicious and all white meat. The vegetables were fresh and crispy. The dish was not too syrupy or sweet. The meal was about 10$ and was enough to eat for 3 meals (came with rice and egg roll). I seriously can not tell you how happy we are to have tried this place. I think this is my 2nd review ever?? Although the food was nicely cooked and presented beautifully, the flavors left a lot to be desired. This is a small restaurant with pretty nice décor and tables. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. We went here and ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Crab cheese wontons, Salt and Pepper shrimp, Crispy duck and the steamed shrimp and vegetables. The food came out pretty quickly. Our order was accurate and they kept our water refilled. The food looked delicious (presented nicely on the plates with nice color and it looked appealing) and was cooked well. However, the Honey Walnut Shrimp and the Salt and Pepper shrimp had a breading on them that ruined the food. It was very heavy in your mouth and had a very flour-y and/or starchy flavor to it. The Crispy duck was crispy but had a very soy sauce flavor that wasn't pleasant. The salt and pepper shrimp was not very spicy despite the presence of many Jalapenos which are usually spicy for me. The crab cheese wontons were fresh, but had a lot of chunky stuff in the middle and were not the best tasting. Also, the serving plates they had were so large they barely fit on the table and it makes it very awkward and uncomfortable to eat. The Honey Walnut shrimp is better at Heaven Dragon and United Chinese. I'm not going back, but I gave them 2 stars because the service was good and the food was cooked properly. read more

My husband and I are new to the area. We've been busy unpacking and the last thing we wanted to do was make dinner. We saw that this place delivered ($2 delivery fee which I was gladly willing to pay) so we thought we'd give it a shot. My husband got the orange chicken and I got the kung pao chicken. The orange chicken you could taste the spice but other than that there was absolutely no flavor. And my Kung pao chicken was bland. I put soy sauce on top in hopes of making it taste like something. Have eaten here for lunch many times now with my family and we really enjoy the food and value. The staff is very nice and polite and are very friendly to our kids. The price are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The food itself is good. I continue to come here because the food is always good however this may be my last time. Upon entering the first thing you notice are all the dirty windows and doors in vestibule and the dirty rugs. At noon ??? Inside is passable however the menus are completely torn up, that's always a red flag for me when the menus are gross. The waiter who looks like he just crawled out of bed and still had slippers on or flip-flops or whatever, hardly acknowledged us but came to the table, half turned our direction... when I ordered waters he said yes I'll bring them later!??? There were three of us, he went to the back came back a few minutes later with two waters? Granted the one child was under two but she still likes her on water. By the way I don't know what spigot the water comes from but it tastes awful I'm assuming it doesn't come out of a filtered fountain.The water around here is awful unless you have a water softener or a filtered system. they obviously don't have either? My grandkids are two and four. I ordered one dish for the three of us, I asked what it came with, he said soup. I had to ask again is there an egg roll with that he said yes, why do I have to ask all the stuff why can't he tell me when I ask him what it comes with?When the dish came out there were no sauces with the egg roll., when I asked for sauces he looked at me like he didn't know what I was talking about? Really? We got the bare minimum and had asked for everything! He was in a huge hurry barely acknowledging us and he was he was looking out the other window and halfway talking to us or Listening to the kitchen which was not busy. He didn't look around and wasn't observant. very prompt with the check of course and even came to the table as we were getting up to retrieve the receipt. The food is good but I would not say it's exceptional and the service pretty much is awful and always has been every single time I have been there.it's always the same thing. We were big fans of Chang's Grill and were bummed when they closed their doors. As good as the food was, the service wasn't always great. Blue Bay seems to have much better service so far, and we actually like the food a bit better than Chang's. It seems to be a bit more "normal" as opposed to the "healthy" style of Chang's. read more
