    Complementary chips and also

The service here was great! The staff were friendly, the food was good, and they offer complimentary chips and salsa--which was actually very tasty. The ambience was amazing: everything was decorated for Christmas, and there was a DJ playing upstairs, which made the whole experience really fun. We originally came in just to grab a burrito to go because we had a bad experience at Tosh and our family decided they was so annoyed they didn't want any casino restaurant food and we was too tired to leave. We planned to just sit outside by the fire and eat a burrito, but a staff member seated us and even told me it was okay to finish the appetizer I had brought from tosh . She apologized for the experience we had elsewhere, which was incredibly kind. From there, everything just kept getting better. We were served water, chips, and salsa right away, before we could tell them we was ordering to go and glad we didn't we ended up ordering margaritas and more food, and before we knew it, the whole night had completely turned around. The only missing star is because the margaritas was terrible i could finish it , too much sweet & sour or lemonade lol I honestly wish I had brought my whole family here--we would've had a great time. I'm definitely going to try to bring them back before they fly out because the experience was fun, welcoming, and exactly what we needed that night & even our server was kind!!

The best part of the meal was actually the chips and salsa. The tacos themselves were good but I found myself squeezing lime on every bite just to bring out some flavor. The beans and rice were tasty though, the rice was fluffy. What really wowed me was the price! two margaritas came out to $40, which felt overpriced for what we got..

I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices and the high quality of a meal at the Coyote Cantina inside the Talking Stick casino. With the horrific sounds of the casino's 80's house band reverberating, we escaped to the Cantina for a fair priced, large and very strong margarita. The chips were thin warm and fresh and crispy. The salsas were amazing including the really hot one. I had a shrimp taco plate with all rice no beans. I really loved the Chipotle shrimp, which was recommended by our bartender as one of his personal favorites. Very flavorful and the shrimp were prepared perfectly. Companion had the quesabirria tacos with consomme and enjoyed them a lot but they didn't look griddled and gooey enough to me compared to others I have eaten. We were practically the only ones here at 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night, surprising! A hidden gem!

Good food , good service and good drinks . Can't ask for anything more . The only reason you might not like the place is it's noisy . The 2nd floor of the casino is open right above and it's where they allow bands to play . But if you do t mind that definitely worth giving a shot . Love how you can build your own margarita

    Carne Asada burrito

Not bad Mexican food for being at a casino. The chips and salsa were delicious I prefer the spicy salsa more then the mild. The main course was the carne asada burrito with a side of rice and black beans. The beef had good seasoning and not overpowering.

    Pork torta

I got the pork torta. Was weird to have a sauce poured over it considering it's a sandwich and wouldn't have been able to pick it up to eat so used a fork a d knife. Ended up not eating the bread as the sauce made it soggy and I didn't care for it. The pork was very good spicy and delicious. The other item we ordered were ok as well The chips that came were very good. The Salsas were super good. The spicy one was my favorite. We wanted to go the the Louisiana place but it was busy so went here instead. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. The sangria was delicious and stronger than I expected.

    Shrimp Enchiladas

This place is located in the Talking Stick Resort. You take the elevator down to level G and make a right. I came a little bit before dinner time and was seated right away. I received house chips and salsa. I had taken a look at the menu before, so I knew I wanted the Shrimp Enchiladas. This was a huge mistake. This literally came out in mins and was rancid. The first bite I took tasted like expired dish soap. I thought maybe it was me. I took a sip of my Peach Margarita, which was ginormous! I cut into my enchilada and tried another bite. As soon as I put it into my mouth, I knew it wasn't me. The food was horrible. I waited for my server to come check in on me. However, 15 mins later she still never came. I let a server walking by know that the products used for the enchilada tasted like they had expired. My plate was taken back. I let the server know I wouldn't be reordering. The tables are sticky, the tortillas taste like dusty cardboard and the only flavor is in the beans. But the service is awesome.

Unfortunately, the experience was disrupted by a large group of intoxicated golfers. There is a dress code, and had it been enforced, this situation may have been avoided. My husband and I were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary, and the group became extremely loud--yelling, using inappropriate language, and creating an uncomfortable environment. Management did try to handle the situation, but when the group was leaving, their behavior escalated. They were running around near our table, and when my 69-year-old husband (who uses a scooter and oxygen) spoke up, they became confrontational and appeared ready to start a fight. It was disappointing and honestly a bit unsettling. For a $200+ dinner, you expect a peaceful and upscale experience. While the restaurant itself is wonderful and the staff made an effort, this incident took away from what should have been a very special evening.

Talking Stick has a spacious free parking lot. After entering the casino, you'll see some elevators close to the Cultural Center. Take them to the top and you'll be in for a treat. Ambiance (5/5): It doesn't get much better than this. When you exit the elevators, you'll be in the spacious bar area. If you're looking for drinks, you can sit at the bar or the comfortable seating that surrounds the bar. Don't sit for too long though because there's a little outdoor deck close to the elevators where you can see nice views of Scottsdale and Phoenix. Move toward the back and you'll find the sit-down restaurant and patio area. On the patio, you'll see those same scenic views. There's even an area with 10 or so semi-circle booths that face the windows (and those views I mentioned). Definitely a romantic, date night type of spot. Service (3.5/5): The service hasn't been bad the two times I've stopped by, just a bit slow. There was one bartender both times I visited. The second time, he must have gone to the bathroom or something because I waited 10 minutes or so to order a drink. That's the downside of only having one bartender working. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks the two times I've visited, but I have perused the menu and it looks interesting. It's upscale, think of it as the menu you'd typically see at a steakhouse with some flair. What type of flair, you ask? Exotic game. We're talking things like ostrich fillets. If you're the adventurous type, all of this should pique your interest. If you're not, there's a lot of "regular stuff" on the menu too. Drinks (4/5): Orange Sky has an interesting list of craft cocktails. I've tried two different cocktails and they were both solid. I was impressed with the unique blend of ingredients. They're a bit pricey, but well done and boozy (always a plus in my book). Outside of cocktails, they have a full bar so beer, wine, liquor, etc. That ostrich fillet is on my mind. I'll have to try it on my next visit.

My cousin had been here before and mentioned the food and drinks were solid, so we had to check it out! The space is a cool mix of industrial-chic with a massive wine wall, a great patio, and a stage for live music. They also have a ton of TVs inside and outside if you come to watch a game. We were seated after a short wait, and took a few minutes decide on our choices-even though the #YEShusband and I had already been checking out the menu on our way over. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I really liked how stylish and beautiful the restaurant was. It would be a great spot for a date night. We ordered several dishes to share. I was really looking forward to the Nordic salmon salt block sashimi but the slices were too thin to hold up to the salt and felt like the block was the main attraction. Nordic salmon sweet sesame rice bowl was highly recommended by the server. It was good but overly sweet and the serving size was pretty small. We ordered Korean beef tacos topped with raw kimchi. Wasn't impressed with the beef which was just meh and lacking a rich and good flavor. At $5 each the tacos fell short in execution as the flavors and combination didn't work. The best dish was the tempura green beans which were light and crispy. I didn't care for the aioli it came with though as it was super sweet. I had to mix in a garlic aioli to make it ok. The ambience felt elevated but unfortunately the food didn't match. I didn't expect to find flaws with every dish we tried which was disappointing. Our server was acceptable but was not engaging. Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity.
