Came to this Gem in Chambersburg. Tried the Bacon Wrapped Scallops which went fantastic with the Dijon Mustard. The Creamy Dill salad was great. Also had the "Turos Csusza" entree which came with cream of mushroom soup and cole slaw. Forgot to take a picture I was so hungry I just dug right in! Inside is not big at all and definitely caters to an older crowd. Food is consistently good

This is a neighborhood restaurant in an urban environment, which has been around for 50+ years. Obviously, they're doing something right. The atmospheric is really cozy, with an old world charm. It's clean, and staff is friendly. If you're looking for Eastern European food, you'll find plenty to choose from on the menu. I went for SAUERBRATEN, Beef marinated in sweet and sour gravy, served with spaetzels, and a choice of soup or salad. The soup that day was a tomato potato, which I found to be very tasty. The main course was outstanding. If you like that dish, most restaurants don't have it, and when you do find it, the next question is do they prepare it the way you like it. YES, and YES! By all means, save room for dessert. For me, that was Cherry Strudell, though the Crepes looked very appealing ...I'll check them out next time, and there certainly WILL be a next time!! The menu is on their website, along with the prices, which are not unreasonable

Made reservations. Sweet retro ambiance. Ordered pierogi appetizers. I ordered the stuffed cabbage entrée with mushroom soup & spaetzl. The food was absolutely delicious and divine. I cannot sing it's praises more!!!

Now that DeLorenzo's is gone and so are the Trenton Thunder there aren't many reasons to venture down to Trenton anymore. However, coming here is one. The place feels like a turning back the clock in time. Local spot where I can get some food that reminds me of my ancestors and grandmother, who I used to come here with. Definitely recommend the Beef Goulash and the Wiener schnitzel. The pierogis are also not to be missed. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable. Worth the trip down to Trenton.

Both were very mediocre and not at all authentic compared to what you get in Hungary. My chicken paprika was bland and watery. Traditionally the sauce should be thick and creamy. Dad's goulash broth was essentially tasteless with a little bit of pepper added for flavor. Cucumber salad mainly tasted of sour cream. Traditional cucumber salad in Hungary has spices added to it and complexity of flavor that is lacking here. Overall incredibly bland mediocre food.. Think economy class airline food and you're getting close. Hate leaving a poor food review since the owner and his dad were both incredibly friendly.

They play Hungarian music and the decor consists of pictures of Hungary along with the flag colors. It's very cute. Our server was the owner's cousin and was friendly. I loved my breaded pork chops with cabbage noodles. Pork chops were crispy and the noodles delicious. My boyfriend enjoyed his goulash, which was reminiscent of his grandmother's and mother's cooking. The pierogi were big and tasty. Our entrees came with rolls and salad. No drinks, but you can BYOB, and you can get trays to go (no catering), plus they will host a group. I absolutely loved our experience at Paprika's and highly recommend. I cannot wait to return.

The Hungarian Meat Center, owned and operated by the Rozsa Family since 1988,specializes in everything Hungarian. The store is on the small side but upon entering smells of smoked sausages, garlic, paprika and cumin which permeate the air. When in the area, I stop in to pickup some Hungarian delicacy or another. This last visit, I bought a gyulai $16, Cseresz kolbasz $8, and a container of prune and apricot jam, $4.75 each. It's difficult to find Hungarian products in Northern New Jersey let alone at reasonable prices and at this quality level. I must add that their apricot jam has the right texture, no added sugar however the sweetness of the fruit remains. I love it. They also offer torta, punies, kremes/sampit, spices and seasonal candies.

They do get tough to make but while I was waiting to be seated, I saw a few people put their name down and the wait time was hours (for lunch) The location is small a quaint, hence the small amount of reservation. I believe it seats about 23 if memory serves me correctly. We came by after a run and were VERY glad there's AC inside. We ordered the breakfast plate, tuna melt and potato pancake. Food came pretty quickly. Our seats had a great view of the staff working in the kitchen. The potato pancake was very crunch and tasteful, a bit on the salty side but paired well with the breakfast plate. Tuna melt was the main event, and it was as creamy as I imagined. I heard they were out after we ordered but the chef provided another 5 orders. I'd definitely try to visit before they close. They're going to relocate but no timeline on when or where!
