If i could give this place negative stars i would. The manicurist was very rude. No greetings hi or how are you? Just went straight to do my nails. She didn't give me the nail set of colors. So of course you give to me last minute i want to make sure i pick the right color for my fit for the weekend. Also she cut me 3 times and lightly scrub my feet. I told her if she scrub it and then she wants to charge me extra but i'm like you didn't even scrub. So now she wanna complain to her coworkers about me being rude like i don't understand. The vibe here is very obnoxious and talking about their customers. Definitely won't be coming back here. Its cheap but for every little service they charge and that's how they get you. $42 for gel manicure and regular pedicure. $6 to take off previous gel. $10 for callus but if she already did a worst scrubbing why would i waste money. So anyways upon paying i pulled $50 and handed to her and reached for my $5 more but she took my $2 and walked away. So therefore she can keep that with that attitude. The $10 gel deal advertised in the window is REAL! I saw that sign months ago and it's been calling my name ever since. My nails are super short right now and I didn't want to bother getting a full manicure so I decided to stop in last minute on a Sunday to try the $10 gel. It is obviously just a color change only, so come with your nails in the conditon you want them painted. Lots of colors to choose from and the paint was applied evenly and with multiple coats - im really interested to see how long it lasts! I was in and out in less than 25mins, and I ran about an hour before closing on a Sunday. Cons - the salon could be a little cleaner, but it was end of shift on a weekend so I get it. Mostly it is a struggle to find parking, and with the giant Chuck E. Cheese next door it can be a bit of a mad house. I walked in on saturday morning a week ago for a gel manicure at 10am and they sat me down and had me dip my nails in a bowl of gel polish remover to remove my old gel and they walked away to work on another customer. My nails were in the bowl for 15 minutes and I started to worry that they had forgotten about me, but they didn't. Sophie came by to remove my polish and do my manicure. She was very meticulous about my cuticle removal and was a pleasant person to talk to. She was nice about me taking my time choosing a gel color (they have sooo many its hard to choose). The manicure took an hour, not too bad. My gel was applied carefully and Sophie took extra time to brush off (with polish remover) the excess polish on my skin around my cuticles. Because this place is such a bargain, there was barely a massage at the end, which I don't mind because I'm there for the price and for quality gel nails. It's been 8 days since my visit and my nails look just as new. There are no lifts on any of my nails and they are still glossy as ever. The gel brand I used when I was there was called LeChat. What's cool about LeChat is that they make sets of their Gel and regular nail polish. So I got the same color for both my mani and pedi, but my mani was gel and my pedi was regular polish. Hang did a great job on my mani/pedi, she's very detailed and so sweet! While she was doing my nails, a customer came back to ask her to do another coat of top coat because she didn't think it was shiny enough. After I gave her the ok, she did it without question and without an attitude. Hang shaped my nails in a rounded square which is exactly what I wanted without me telling her. I overheard some of their conversations in vietnamese and they never once complained about anything or talked about another customer. Very nice, genuine people. And the tv set to the news was nice for the women getting their nails done as well as their men waiting for them haha. Today I had my nails done by John, I love his work he really cares about making sure your nail shape comes out great. I got a new set of gel coffin nails and a gel pedicure. I paid about $53 not including tip but I also got a glitter accent nail on each hand (didn't ask if there was an extra charge). John actually suggested the accent nail because I had smashed my middle finger in a door last week and you could see the bruising and since I was choosing a light color the bruise was going to show. DONT COME HERE . I came because a friend recommended John and Tracy. They were busy since tomorrow is Easter. The lady that did my pedicure didn't speak a single word. I asked if they charged to remove the gel polish from my toes (I was also getting gel again) she said no. Then when she's finished I walked over to Tracy. She had a few people waiting (they walked in after Me) she was super fast and was even like WOW you're fast! I didn't like how I asked for coffin and she did them thinner than coffin. (The coffin shape she started on the girl after me was what I expected) she advised me not to get white cause it gets dirty and turns yellow. Anyway she had me use the uv light about 8 times on each hand, why? I still don't know! She also didn't use a base gel coat, weird .. did I miss something new? Honestly I wasn't satisfied with the job, but didn't say anything (my mistake) when I first called in she said it was $28 for gel nails coffin shaped which is a good price (I guess you get what you pay for) when she charged me it came out to 30! Then my pedicure was suppose to be $24 and I got charged $27 because of the gel removal. I had already started to remove it myself so it didn't take long and every salon that I have gone to it's free IF AND WHEN you get GEL, if not then they do charge. It really saddens me to update my review to only a 2 star after leaving 2 previous reviews at 5 stars. My most recent visit left me with bleeding, sore fingers and subsequently my nails have been breaking almost every day to my flesh, causing a lot of discomfort. My most recent visit was 3 weeks ago. I had a gel pedi and mani. My pedi was absolutely fine, no problems, great results, relaxing and so forth. This was done by one lady. It was a different lady who removed my gels, which were done here 2 weeks previous. On my ring fingers, I had little bows placed previously and instead of just taking her time to file them down, she used the acrylic trimmer, which caused discomfort and burning of my nail. She also very vigorously filed down the other gels before soaking them. I know this is fairly common practice, but I've never had them done so roughly before. She also cut my cuticles far too deep, with bleeding on 2 of my fingers - she actually had to stop them bleeding before she could proceed otherwise it would've been obvious on the gels themselves. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. Over the last week my nails have been chipping and breaking, so much so I have now cut my nails all the way down, as close as possible to my fingers. I have always had very strong, healthy nails and have regularly had gel manicures done for years. Never have I experienced this before. I've had great experiences here before and I guess it was just that one lady but unfortunately that has really put me off going back - I don't know how long I will have to wait before my nails grow back and are healthy and normal again. I really wish I got that lady's name so other people won't end up in the same situation as me :( read more
