Tried Blue Fire Grill for the first time last night(Saturday). My BF said to go there and order ribs. Beef and Pork. They were out of beef. I ordered a full rack of pork ribs with a Caesar salad, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. Once home, we had sort of a picnic... some Juan Pollo Chicken and the BBQ. Let me just say, my BF does not like any sauce with his BBQ. He says all the flavor should come from the meat, if cooked right. I was really surprised when he ate these ribs with sauce and all. The ribs were absolutely delicious. Everything we got was yummy. The Mac n cheese is really, really good and I don't usually eat Mac n cheese. I can't speak too much to the service since I ordered to go. This is now our go to for BBQ to go. Give it a try next time the wait is 2 hours plus at Lucille's chain restaurant. Okay this really just happened..... We bought a discount card from a co workers sons fundraiser and saw this deal for blue fire grill. That card brought us in to this location. After reading the Yelp reviews I was really looking forward to the brisket cheesy fries. That's all that I wanted to order. When we arrived there were 3 ladies at the bar and a group of 10 at a table in middle. We waited for a few minutes before we were told to sit at any booth except the corner one which was dirty. We sat and the lady approached us a few mins later stating she just put a fairly large order in so any food ordered would be about 20 minutes. That was fine, it smelled delicious in this place! She took our drink order (water with lemon) while we decided what we wanted. Our water came in cute mason jars and came out pretty quick. We then decided and waited a good 15 minutes before she even came back to take our order. I started with id like to order the brisket fries and she then stated the only two things we are out of tonight is brisket n fries. No apologies nothing. My boyfriend wanted to order the brisket entree and son was going to order tri tip so now we were like wtf. She blamed the party of 10 for cleaning out her brisket n fries. I don't get it. It's not like there is a million options on the menu. Ugh. So she walks away says she will be right back and we'll she starts bringing them their food. Tri tip, chicken, and two ordered brisket. !!! UPDATE !!! Okay, I admit that I don't like to give negative reviews. I only review places that I really like. I came to Blue Fire Grill a couple times when it was brand new. So the place wasn't perfect, and I'm sure they were still working out the kinks. After a recent return visit, I am upgrading this place to 5 stars! Yes that's right! I now consider this one of the 3 best restaurants in Chino (Papachino's and Honolulu Harry's are the others.) The first time I had a hamburger here, it was burnt and tasted like charcoal! This time, it was PERFECT! It is exactly the kind of hamburger that you can only get by BBQing at home. I was very pleased! It was a big, thick, juicy, flavorful burger. Yum! I also had the macaroni again. The first time I had it, it was bland and flavorless. Now, it was deliciously cheesy! Also, my meal came with fries and a salad. I was STUFFED!!! It's just off the beaten path which is always a good sign, and when I walked inside, I was almost not sure I was in the right place. The place is classy, without being pretentious. It was like an oasis, and I would have been happy with just a cold beer and a sandwich, but this place more than delivered. A Great big bar, right in front, and then more formal seating off to the side. I sat at the bar and ordered my favorite, beef brisket. It was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of smoke, and I was given a more than generous portion. I could have made TWO sandwiches out of this plate of meat. A lot of California bbq lives and dies by its sauce, but I can tell you this meat was great just on its own. But they do have some great sauces to boot, and I hear they are coming up with some new ones just to keep it fresh. I got mac n cheese on the side which was super good. Ive tried just about everything and honestly, have no complaints. The ribs are succulent & tasty, the tri-tip & brisket are mouth watering, the chicken has beautiful herbal flavors, and the corn bread is a delightful blueberry surprise. Try the Mac & cheese or baked beans as a side...deeeelish! To add to your experience they usually have some fine tunes playing to the likes of Clapton, Hendricks, Ray Vaughn, and Zeppelin. The crab cakes are wonderful. Full fof real blue crab and no fillers. We tried the crab cakes and stuff mushrooms (stuff with real blue crab meat) The wife had chicken with macaroni and cheese and cornbread. I had the two meat special and I picked half a rack of ribs and brisket. My sides were mashed potatoes and cornbread. The mashed potatoes came with this gralic gravy sauce that was so good we even dip our cornbread in it. The meat fell off the bone on my ribs and the wif ate all her half a chicken. It's taken me awhile to write my review but it hasn't stopped me from dining in. We've dined here for the past several years and appreciated the hospitality. Melinda & Michael took pride on enhancing the look and décor of there establishment which is reflective in there food. BBQ restaurants I feel are held to a higher standard because people easily scrutinize the qualities of meats, sauces, flavor and taste. It's a meal we all believe we do well, but critically judge others for attempting. Some of the dishes I've enjoyed is easily the Ribs and Texas Brisket. There prices are less than Lucille's and comparable to Joey's and Dickey's, but you can't beat the warm and friendly reception they extend to each patron who walks thru the doors. I've seen this place driving home from work and decided to give it a try when I bought the Living Social deal. The restaurant is in an industrial area which is an odd place for a restaurant. The place is a casual restaurant. The crab cakes are great and they give generous portions. The ribs are good but not great. I like the BBQ sauce but the ribs weren't as tender as I would like. The sides of BBQ beans, corn bread and Mac n cheese were also good too. They don't have any beers on tap but they have a large selection of bottled beers. This past Saturday was the second time I've been to Blue Fire and it was delicious again. Don't let the industrial neighborhood detract you from coming for some really good barbecue from people who really care about making it right; there are no corners cut here! This time, I just sat in the bar with my dad and had a cold beer while we ordered food to go for the family. They have a family meal for $45 that gives you a pound and half of meat, two family size sides and four salads with dressing. The family sizes sides that they give you are actually 2 pint sized cartons per side, so it was definitely enough for 4 people to get their fill. We wanted to get a second meat, and we had 5 people together, so we got a two item plate with pulled pork as both choices, but it was way too much food. Good news though: plenty of leftovers for the next day. We had the brisket with our pulled pork and both were juicy, tender and delicious. For our sides we went with the baked beans and mac n cheese. The baked beans here are great! They are really sweet and smokey. They make a perfect compliment to the brisket, and the baked bean juices are just as good as the bbq sauce for dunking the meat in. This is the real deal when it comes to quality. They have a pretty sweet smoker, and several trailer mounted bbq rigs that are parked outside. Update Dec 2014: It's been about a year since our last visit. Unfortunately my husband and I agree that the food, service and atmosphere all went down hill. It's like the cook lost his love for cooking (or his spices). The service got slower and we saw less of the owner. The bar is the only busy area and that area is full of foul mouthed, loud drunks. The final straw was when they had some disgusting tv show on that I asked them to change (I was facing the tv) but the bartender didn't know how. Really??!!! There were animals doing unspeakable things to themselves that are disturbingly burned in my memory. I finally traded seats so it wasn't in my face anymore. I can't judge any changes over the last year and I'm afraid to try. But I am sure that alcohol sales are what keeps them supported. I'm so sad. I really liked this place before. April 2013: My husband and I live right down the street from the Blue Fire Grill so we thought we would give it a try and we have been back many times since then. My husband absolutely LOVES their prime rib. He says it is one of the best steaks he ever had! My favorite is the crab cakes. All the sides are good too and the salad is wonderful! There is no bread basket to fill you up before your meal so you can actually enjoy your food more. The owner and staff are always friendly and I love they way they have decorated it. I also love the fact that their patio is dog friendly so I can walk over with my puppies. You should give this great little family owned business a try!! read more

I went inside the restaurant to pick up my food, and not only were they serving in-house dining to a family, but the manager/owner was waiting on people unmasked and when I paid the bill I asked her to kindly put a mask on, to which she replied "if you want me to put on a mask, don't come back."
