Blue Haven gave me a 3D scope of what my pool would look like without the extra costs. Despite the initial mess, the process was smooth, and the communication was top-notch. The Director, David, made us feel comfortable through the process and worked diligently to get my pool up sooner than the original plan. I would not recommend this pool company based on my experience. The workmanship fell well below my expectations, and several aspects of the project appeared rushed or improperly completed. I noticed issues with the quality of the work that should have been caught and corrected before the job was considered finished. When concerns were brought to the company's attention, the response was disappointing, and I was left feeling that customer satisfaction was not a priority. A project as significant and expensive as a pool installation should be completed with attention to detail and pride in the finished product. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not justify the cost, and I would advise others to thoroughly inspect all work and get clear commitments regarding quality standards before hiring this company. Most recently they came out to fix an uneven tile and again the workmanship is very poor. We had a pool built in 2022. The process started great and getting the pool built was a great experience with the person who oversaw the project and was onsite. Post-pool build follow-up service has been terrible. Our "contact" will tell us, "We are on the list," but it is never communicated when they will show up. When I ask for a specific date, there is no response. Again, as for the pool building process, they are amazing but if you appreciate great customer service after spending $100K+, don't expect much from the Charlotte office. read more

We recently moved into a house that had a pool installed by Blue Haven in 2018. The pool is absolutely beautiful!! We ended up having to replace a few stones (this was at zero fault of Blue Haven, they broke due to accidents) and they were so helpful at helping find and supply the correct replacement stones and even gave us the stones at no cost! However, our experience was a far cry from the rave Google reviews we saw. From A to Z, this project was a mess. They made numerous mistakes that cost our project time and money, and they turned my pool into a concrete dumpster to house dirty pipes for four months. I requested that they not use those pipes in the construction, as they have been sitting out in the elements for four months, and they used them anyway. They mismeasured several times and they ended up pouring the pool without the swim-up kitchen. Just mistake after mistake and excuses to match. I am very dissatisfied with the level of service we received and would absolutely not recommend Blue Haven to anyone. read more

We knew a pool renovation would be necessary so for a couple years we joined a pool site for ideas. We heard multiple horror stories about pool builders so when our pool completely quit, we were not excited about going through the pool build process. However, with BlueHaven, we did NOT experience a horror story. In fact, it was much smoother, quicker, and better than we had anticipated. The communication was delayed starting out due to our sales guy being sick. After initiating a contract, we were given a great construction manger (Matt) to kick us off then our project manager (Dale) took over and he was top notch so smooth sailing from there. He was on top of things and addressed all questions and concerns that came up over time as the pool was being built. We were terrified of the selection process as we don't always agree on colors/styles, but the selection lady (Michelle) was patient and thorough in showing us all the options along with giving ideas. Through the process we had no major issues concerning Blue Haven. We had a couple minor hiccups with a contractor, but Dale quickly resolved them. Overall, we are very pleased with the process and our pool is better than we had even envisioned. We highly recommend BlueHaven and should we ever need another pool, BlueHaven will be our first call. read more

Dustin was our sales person, he was knowledgeable and he answered my many many questions. He was patient and I never felt pressure to sign anything. He saw my vision and made it come to life! We then had the wonderful experience of of working with the best project manger, David. David was also knowledgeable and patient with my many questions and/or concerns. He was always able and willing to answer my calls and text and I felt comfortable asking him anything. He showed up often and kept me updated via the buildertrend app, phone calls and texts. Anytime I questioned something or wanted a minor change he already was on top of it and one step ahead of it. With a big purchase like a pool, I needed to have a relationship with the company and it's people I chose. Working with Dustin and David there was alway a comfortablity with them! David actual had wonderful ideas and I made changes based on his recommendations! David shines with his Communication skills, leadership ability , and management of his team. Then, a few months ago, we needed a full system replacement (filter, pump, heater, etc...) and they knocked that out quickly, on time and professionally. They are trying to make us responsible for their incompetent installation of skimmers and auto fill because they installed it above pool level and crooked we are unable to fit tile over it causing tripping hazards..improper equipment pad placement is causing water to flood our crawl space and it has not passed final inspection since completion last July. The people at Blue Haven were very patient while we waited to move into our house and still were able to start the pool within a month of moving in, which was great. Matt Hudspeth is our project manager and he has done a great job getting it dug quickly and finished before the other 2 pools in the neighborhood, which were started about the same time and by 2 different companies. We really like the design. Most recently, just as we were finishing the pool a branch fell on our pool equipment (shattering the pipes, damaging the heater, and causing the loss of some pool water). By the end of the next day this was all repaired and water was trucked in. We are very pleased. read more
