Honestly one of the better Korean AYCE experiences in the entirety of California. I've had my fair share of Korean AYCE in LA/OC, and this place definitely holds a candle to my experiences down there. The meat quality was really high, it may as well be a la carte quality. The customer service was so good, staff were so kind, fast, and serviceable. The quality of the side dishes and rice was insane. Their rice was on point especially. I have a love/hate relationship with Sacramento: I love to hate it (lmao jk or am I). That being said, they definitely have gotten some great eats and more affordable cost of living compared to the Bay Area. Also, I make it my life long goal of trying my best not to be outpriced out of my home area and attempt to avoid a futile reality that maybe I gotta buy a home in Sacramento if I want to actually ever own a home and be close to the Bay. Well until then, I'll just say that at least Sac got some really good Korean AYCE places, this one in particular.

My go-to spot for Korean BBQ. No other Korean BBQ spot in Sac has topped this place for me, it's a favorite for every occasion. I always get good service here and the meats are good as well. I always do the AYCE dinner option because I can't have Korean BBQ without the LA Galbi!! The restaurant in itself has a very dark ambience, and depending on who's controlling the TV, you can either be watching a sports game or K-pop music videos. I've only ever had one bad experience here where my waiter always forgot something that we asked for or we were rarely checked on to order more things or having our grill changed, but to be fair I feel like it was a busy weekday and they looked understaffed. Don't hold out on what they offer for soups and appetizers! The fries and chicken wings are so bomb, and the spicy seafood tofu soup is delicious. I order it everytime I come to eat it with rice.

good food and meat options! Came on a weekend so it was a bit busy, about 30mins wait through yelp waitlist. We did the basic ayce option and liked what was included! Meats were fresh and sides were tasty! It was very busy so service messed up a few items, but totally fine & understandable. waiters were nice. would be returning!

I'm a huge fan of Blue House!! First place I've had KBBQ. I've been to a few others since then, but I always end up coming back to Blue House! Meat we tried: pork belly, brisket, spicy brisket, sesame balls, pot stickers, House steak, spicy beef bulgogi All tasty, I did notice the brisket was cut a little thicker than I had ordered before, but not enough to lose a star on my review. Drinks: I ordered a moscow mule and it was absolutely delicious!

The service at Blue House was fine, but I wasn't super impressed with the selection of food. The options are a little limited in the normal tier compared to other KBBQ establishments, and the quality of the meats was just alright. The first round was promising, but after that, it felt like we couldn't really tell what the different cuts were. The beef intestine was not good at all, and something to note is that you have to pay for lettuce!

We stopped in for a quick lunch and didn't have time to try the AYE option, but we'll definitely be back to check it out next time. The restaurant was well-ventilated, which was surprising considering it's a barbecue place. We didn't smell too smoky on our clothes, which was a relief. The food was good and generously portioned. We ordered a LA Galbi and a tofu dosiraks, both of which were cooked well. They came with a variety of sides, including potstickers, potato croquettes, spring rolls, sesame balls, rice, and salad. The chicken bibimbap came with a side of soup. The servers were polite and friendly, and the overall dining experience was pleasant.

All you can eat buffet in Blue House Korean BBQ. Technology friendly- Robot serving the foods, quite a scenario. I am amazed by how this restaurant was able to introduce the robotic technology into our community. It's definitely a great place to have family or friends over to enjoy Asian foods. I came here with family and didn't even realize 3 hours passed by. Had an amazing time here. Highly recommended for hangout place in the evening!

Came back here recently to try. Option A. The food holds up and is delicious. I really like the galbi and bulgogi. Pork belly could use more seasoning. Definitely glad the beef is not frozen like other bbq places. It cooks faster. The house sauce is great. And so is that pineapple sauce. Drinks - the Valentine's Day drinks were delicious. The amf is missing the mark still. It seemed the drinks with puree does a really good job of sweetness and also tasting alcohol but the ones without are neither flavorful nor strong. Will come again. :)

Staff was friendly, attentive, and willing to swap out our grill to accommodate gluten-free needs. The only trick? Convincing the rest of the table not to touch those marinaded meats until later. I felt like I was in a gluten-free negotiation summit, and somehow, it worked. Something surprising was the robot server, who glides through the aisles like the Roomba's cooler, older cousin. It rolls up with your order, beeps politely, and then disappears with the dignity of a Michelin-star waiter who's late for another appointment. Meanwhile, outside, the most dedicated security guard you'll ever meet is hustling. He's pacing the lot, scanning for trouble that never comes, then suddenly switching gears to wipe down outside furniture like an uncle prepping for Sunday BBQ. So yes, Blue House is tasty, clean, fun, and offers more entertainment value than you'd expect for a meal. Highly recommend--especially if you're amused by robots, dietary negotiations, and hyper-vigilant parking lot security.

good kbbq spot in Sac! we started off at the bar while waiting for our table, we ordered a raspberry lemon drop and mangolicious, the drinks were good but definitely lacking alcohol content. we only waited about 20 min on Saturday evening before being seated, when we had our table, we were attended to pretty quickly and the server was super nice. our party opted for option A ($38) which i felt was the most worth it, the meat quality was great (faves were probably thin pork belly, brisket) the sides were decent although not the best ive had. but i especially enjoyed the corn cheese which i think was the best ive ever had! we ordered a soju pitcher to share and overall had a great experience at Blue House. my partner has been dining here since high school and said the quality has not gone down!

Hence the "hiring" sign posted on the restroom doors. The help would have been greatly appreciated during our last minute dinning in experience. We were seated right away, BUT the service there after was a bit of a waiting period. I did have to ask for our party of 3 to be seated in a different booth, due to the first spot being dirty. Once your server arrived she took our drink orders, after our drinks were served, we placed our 1st round of meats, etc. and let me tell you 30 mins later and nothing brought to our table, our server returned, noticed the wait , and the formed us that she re submitted our order again. Other tables We're getting served before us that arrived after us. Once that took place then things started to pick up from there. The food was great, we definitely ate until we couldn't anymore. During our meal we did utilize the restroom facilities and was welcomed by what seemed to be a bad sewer smell inside. Also noticed when getting back to our table that the smell carried over into the dinning area. Not much longer we did end our visit. Overall, we enjoyed the food but hesitant on a return visit.

One of the best restaurants in Arden area period. Located in a convenient area, always parking, lately I haven't had to wait at all. The servers were nice we came in an hour before closing and they got us served 3 rounds in 30 minutes it was really good time I will continue to come back because of the good quality food and service for a good value Nice that they serve drinks too it's a good place

This is my favorite korean BBQ spot in Sac. The service is great -- I never have to wait to call the waiter to order another round. I really like the appetizer options here & highly recommend the scallion salad. I also always order the pineapple sauce it tastes really great with the brisket.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

Yelp knows my taste buds... Inside there is lots of signage helping me know what to do. The host/waiter asked me what i wanted to eat. I snap ordered the lemongrass pork noodles. Pickled jalapeños, lime, peppers, chopsticks and napkins at the bar/tables. Lemongrass Pork Noodle: the fish sauce with tiny peppers was a nice amount of spice, pork well-marinated & well-cooked, decent amount of lettuce and cucumber My main critique is that the protein serving felt smaller; i was very hungry- didn't eat breakfast, didn't have coffee yet - and i didn't end feeling super full. $21 out the door felt a bit pricier. That being said,y taste buds were happy and I thought the overall value was good. I plan to be back if I am in the area and I recommend checking this spot out if you are near. These kinds of gems are what give Sac character :)

Whether…read moreyou are grabbing one of their prepared dishes to go or managing to snag a seat inside, it is an easy and satisfying experience from start to finish. While their menu leans primarily Korean, the chicken pho is unexpectedly exceptional and honestly one of the best I have had. It is a standout dish that shows just how much care and attention goes into everything they make. Despite its small footprint, this place leaves a lasting impression. Thoughtful, well executed food and a welcoming, no frills atmosphere make Southside Super a true Sacramento staple.

Glad my mom suggested it for her birthday dinner or I don't know when I would've ever gone! Service was excellent (both helpful & informative). Since we'd never gone before, we were offered a sample of the broths; this was super helpful and appreciated because I ended up not ordering one of the broths I thought I was definitely going to get. I got the Kobe Beef with Miso & Crab Rieu as the two broths. I was able to comfortably split the large size with my husband, but we probably could've used a slightly larger portion for his sake. (He felt a bit hungry after the meal but noted his stomach had settled.) As a party of 5, two of us shared one pot (or two broths) and three shared another pot. The chicken wings appetizer was very flavorful too! (The server listed three options for wings and we went with the one that included jalapeños.) For noodles, you can choose between instant ramen, fresh ramen or vermicelli. It also came with a small scoop of ice cream at the end of the meal! I think I'll come back for AYCE soon. All the ingredients were fresh and very tasty.

I ordered the Large American Kobe Beef with miso and crab broths. It was an average size to feed two people, however I was hungry so I was not full after the meal. The dish came with thin sliced beef, veggies, and choice of noodles or rice. The portion of noodles was very small. The crab broth was my favorite of all the broths and had a nice crab flavor. The meal came with dessert which was a choice of ice cream; I chose the cookies and cream. The chicken wing appetizer was scrumptious. The wings were fried and coated with sauce with lots of jalapenos. Service was good as the employee offered samples of all their broths to assist in making a selection. After the food was served he checked if we needed anything and refilled water. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It was busy on a Saturday evening so reservations are recommended. Free parking is on the street.

I'd also tried their yang nyum fried chicken, Korean corn dog, dduk bok gi, tofu soup, banana milk and Soon Hari soju. The bone broth soup was so good, there were a few times when I just got a large/double order of that to go. Service was always friendly and great, and I heard that the owners are moving out of state to be closer to family due to illness. Sad to see them go. The food is very tasty and the portions are nice. Service was very friendly too. They were so busy today they ran out of beef bulgogi but offered us a generous alternative as an apology. We finished very full and had lots of leftovers. KFC boneless: crunchy with nice strong sauces. Too salty for our palates but very tasty. Banchan: large scoops were given, our favorite was the broccoli, beef bone broth and japchae. Chicken bulgogi set and tofu soup set: both were fabulous. Chicken had a nice char, soup had large pieces of tofu. Dumpling soup: the pork mandu were very yummy. It's a large portion soup. I'm gonna try to come here a few more times before they close. I think the prices are comparable to other Korean restaurants in the Sacramento area, maybe a little cheaper.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.

I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.

When I asked what beers they had he pointed at the taps... Not helpful. We ordered a truffle oil pizza and some kimchi spring rolls. The spring rolls were huge, and just alright. The pizza was heavy on the truffle oil, I was tasting it the rest of the night. I ordered an old fashioned that he made more than would fit in the glass, and you couldn't taste the bourbon at all. He refilled my glass with what was left, which was a bit odd. Not a good old fashioned. The place itself is spacious and has interesting decor with a big semi truck sticking out of the wall and a ceiling mural. The music is 80s-90s rock, I think maybe it was going for a 90s grunge feel? This place was a last minute decision as our planned restaurant was closed on a Tuesday and I probably wouldn't go here again with so.many other choices on k street and around it.
