As far as my full set, I love how they came out, but they're too rough! I made the terrible mistake of getting a pedicure though! 2 days later, I woke up to a terrible toe infection on both my toes! Just as I was starting to like this place, my mind changed quickly. I can't believe this happened. They either don't sanitize their tools well or she was just WAY too rough on me, but I'm more than sure it was the sanitation because it was bad. I couldn't even walk, I was left limping, and had to actually be in a wheelchair for a day because the pain was unbearable. I am currently still recovering from it and on antibiotics. So, unless you don't want to end up in the er, I highly don't recommend going here. read more

I would never, ever recommend this nail spa to anyone. I made an appointment a couple of days before for four people at 4:30 PM - we were having guests and thought we'd give this place a try. They DO NOT ask for your name, so when you walk in, there's no record of you even calling. Now that I've read other reviews, they've done this to other people recently, too. Immediately, the main woman (who I believe is the owner because of how she bossed everyone around) told us to sit down. They had about 4 pedicurists, and 1 manicurist on duty. Only one of the ladies in our group was immediately helped (pedicure). After fifteen minutes, they called another one of us over (also a pedicure). Half an hour after that, their only manicurist working called over another one of our group members, and I was left to wait until 5:45 PM. Two young girls came in as a walk-in and were immediately helped, while I waited patiently HAVING MADE AN APPOINTMENT. Now to the actual manicure - I never knew getting my nails done could hurt. It was genuinely painful. She took my dip manicure off using an acrylic tip (which is so bad and painful for your nail bed). When I asked for tips, she rudely told me that dip only works on natural nails (which is a straight-up lie). She filed down my natural nail so thin, and at the end when she put my hand into the gel hardener, my fingers burned from the UV. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for a twenty minute manicure, and when I was done, the other gal in our group still wasn't. I was rushed through and disrespected, and I felt heavily judged, and I have never left a nail spa in pain from a dip mani. Not to mention, the dip wasn't applied evenly, so my nails feel bumpy and uneven. WORST experience I've ever had. Please, do yourself a favor and get your nails done down the mountain. read more

Set my appointment Friday june 30th for 4:15..I was there on time (just got off work). I had to wait at least 20min to be scene, the owner ended up doing my nails and he was super nice but as he was doing my nails I noticed he wasn't looking at what he was doing much, more paying attention to what was going on in the salon. As he continued to do my nails I realized he didn't even work my cuticles..he was rushing to finish. So my nails came out horrible and I was so unsatisfied that I called them on my lunch break at work the next day and told them I wasn't happy and would like to reschedule an appointment to get them fixed (I was polite and said sorry because I am the type of person that feels bad to call someone out for or anything/ their work) the woman I talked to hung up on me. The guy did my gel pedicure & he rushed thru it like an express train. Barely removed my cuticles (i havent had a prof pedi in 3 yrs I do my own) so cuticles needed much help. His second coat wasn't even a coat brushed the color on here n there to save pain't. My friend had her nails cut down sides of feet which will cause ingrowns. Her therapist didn't cut her finger nails even. She didnt even file for more than 6 seconds All fingers. the tools are not individually wrapped and no Plastic in the foot bowls. DISGUSTING PLACE. Rude, called on the phone and made a appointment , I arrived a bit before my time and the place was packed. The rest of the 3:30 appointments arrived and they seated me in a pedicure chair. They left me there with my toes in two inches of water while they escorted and started working on all the other people. I sat for over 25 minutes, it wasn't until I got up to go that they told me I was next. Then the up sell began. I go to get my feet done to relax , left uptight and and not happy. I am usually never one to complain about service - I read the other reviews on Yelp and saw that majority were negative but a few positive so decided to go to get a pedicure. I made an appointment for 30 minutes after I had called after much confusion from the woman on the phone. When I arrived no one said a word to me - finally about 20 or so minutes I got a head nod. They kept me waiting for over an hour only to berate me that I was late so they took someone else - the women they supposedly had took had both fingers and toes done so it was clearly a lie. Meanwhile there was a woman who had just given a pedicure folding towels and attending to the hot rocks that needed to be put away - clearly important to do rather than attend to a paying customer Small towns depend on local business and I alway try and support whenever I can but I will never go back here and tell anyone who asks exactly why. Moral of story when 90% of the reviews are bad - pay attention and go elsewhere read more

I was in Lake Arrowhead visiting my Mom for the weekend when she suggested we get pedicures. I'm ALWAYS down for a pedicure, so we called and scheduled an appointment later that day. They were unable to accommodate 3 of us, so asked that one of us come at 2:30 and the other 2 of us at 3:00. I thought this was strange, but we complied. I went first at 2:30. As soon as I arrived, I asked if I could also get a manicure but with no polish. They gentleman at the front desk didn't respond to me, and seemed to brush off my question. I asked my pedicurist when she sat down and assumed my request would be made. After being given the menu of pedicure choices, I chose one of the higher end options, to get a little extra attention and pampering. Despite my added cost, my entire pedicure lasted 20 minutes, was poorly done, and was aggressive. I had numerous spots that the woman was too rough with me on and made me bleed! Once I was finished, they moved me to the dry station, where I asked once again if I could have a manicure. I asked 3 more times before I was given one! It lasted 10 minutes and was also poorly done (by a different staff member). Over the course of the next week my big toe began to hurt. I ended up getting an infection where the woman was too aggressive with her tools! Never in my life has this happened. I'm currently on antibiotics trying to heal it. I'll never go back to this nail salon. I felt rushed, uncared for, and overall displeased. read more

The staff at this salon are incredibly rude. Their selection of polish colors is a total mess. They also still require masks and refused to give me a pedicure even though I can't wear one for medical reasons and one of their staff members was wearing his mask below his nose. Tom knows what he is doing and he's fast. He didn't hurt me one time either which seems to be a regular event when you're getting your nails done they always really your cuticle or something by accident but he did not. My nails have a tiny tiny uneven spots but mostly they look fantastic I really like Tom is also polite. I've had them done by Kim and she does an OK job on nails as well but her demeanor could improve greatly. read more

I think this salon may be under new management or ownership since these bad reviews have been posted. I had to come in suddenly when my nails(done by another salon) were lifting and ready to break. The nail techs here were extremely friendly, efficient and accommodating. The spa chairs look new and the salon is very clean. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes with a literally perfect gel manicure. Very impressed with how quickly my nails were finished especially since I was in a hurry. I think this place is worth a second chance if you've had a negative experience in the past. read more

First time trying Blue Jay Nails & Spa. Waited 35 minutes to be seen after already having an appointment. Came in for Dip removal and a manicure. After a brief filing the manicurist was trying to rip the Dip polish off with his fingers and the back of his own nail. In this process broke one of my natural nails and tore the top off of the other before I was able to ask him to remove it with acetone (which is the standard way to remove Dip polish). Not sure if he did not know how to remove the Dip polish or was just trying to rush, but he eventually had me soak my fingers in a bowl of acetone. Unsure if manicurist was licensed as no license was displayed in plain view. Also unsure if clean tools were used as individual tools were retrieved from various drawers and I did not see them remove the tools from packaging. read more

Recently got a couple of gel manicures here, but they just don't last like others I've had. Whenever I've had a gel manicure done elsewhere, it's lasts AT LEAST two weeks, and sometimes with no chipping or peeling for more than three weeks. Both of the manis I've gotten here have not lasted nearly as long. The first one started peeling from the cuticle side after 9 days and my current gel manicure just started chipping at the tips on day five. Nice people work here, but it's not worth the money. read more

So I went to this nail salon with an expectation that they could accommodate the picture. I provided them with what I wanted my nails to be done as. The guy that was doing my nails I don't remember his name. He said he could do it. When he was doing the nails, I kept asking him if this is what he was qualified, or if he was able to still do this design. Because if we're not looking the same, and when I walked out of the nail salon, I tried explaining to him that the nails that he provided were horrible as well as different and not accurate like I showed the previous photo in the beginning of the appointment. If I could leave a 0 star rating, I would. Terrible service. Unexplainably disappointed and disgusted by the service. My mom and I went to get a manicure and pedicure together. We walked in and were greeted by one of the workers. They told us to go sit, and we said that we wanted a specific lady to do our nails. Right when we said that, they are turned on us and started to treat us terribly. Once it was our turn, we sat down, my mom and I, next to each other, and we talking. The guy that was doing my nails started to give me super dirty looks as if I did something wrong. I was super nice to him, thinking maybe it was his personality. As time went by, things got worse and he started to stare me down and roll his eyes at me and talk about me to his coworkers in another language. I felt really bad at this point and just wanted to leave. After my mom finished her feet, she moved on to nails and asked me to go pick out a color for her. As I got up to go get a color, the guy started to stare at my every move and roll his eyes at me and make me feel super uncomfortable. My mom noticed this too and was extremely agitated. Once they finished my moms service, we went up to pay. While paying, this guy was constantly looking and giving dirty looks. My mom asked for the manager to understand what was happening and they got really mad. They attacked us verbally and told us to get out and that we weren't welcome anymore and that if we didn't like it, we could leave. But that wasn't the issue. We were just trying to understand what was wrong with that guy. The girl that was telling us to leave was being extremely rude to us and basically making us feel so uncomfortable. I am trying to find the owner. So if anyone knows any information that might help me, please let me know. I will get to the owner eventually. I wish I got the guys and girls name so I can put them on blast. This was the worst service I had EVER received in my entire life. And I will make them pay for making us feel so bad. I have mainly seen Lee and Amy and been very pleased. They do a very-professional job, lasting from 4 to 6 weeks for me. The last time I saw Lee, right before Covid was declared, they lasted 10 weeks, when I had them and hair done in Utah. Not one broke or lifted. Hope I can see either Lee or Amy very soon. read more
