I called on new year eve I knew it would be busy but the lady said no, you can come at 2:30pm. And hung up. I called back again to say the lady didn't get my name, she said what's your name. I gave it to her and she hung up the phone. Very rude on the phone. I read the reviews. I believe that they know that there is not a lot of nail salons in the mountain, so they don't care if they are rude. I'll wait till 6pm to go to LUZ nails in upper village. The service is average enough. Pedi price is cheap enough at $17 regular/$20 French tip. I really like and recommend Tom for services. Tom's the bomb! HOWEVER, i'm going to stop going there for one reason: They PUSH AND PUSH AND PUSH you to buy more services so they can make more money (EVERY time i've been there it has been the same). It is SO hard to just sit back, relax and enjoy myself when every 10 minutes i'm being pushed to get other things done. It's like being pestered by a bum for spare change. Yesterday I was asked if I wanted to get the deluxe pedicure. I said no thank you and that i just wanted the regular pedicure. The lady then pushed by saying, "You sure? Deluxe pedicure is so much better". AGAIN, I had to tell her NO. A few minutes in she asked if I wanted heel gel for $5. I said no. Immediately after that she asked if I wanted my eyebrows done for $8. I said no. A little later she asked if I wanted "extra massage" for $15. Again. NO. Then I was asked if I wanted a design. NO. Jewels? NO! She just kept on harping. I've given this place enough tries and i'm over it. read more

The experience at this salon was mediocre! The nail technicians were a little rude. One in particular asked a question about where I live and then proceeded to give me a dirty look. This was followed by them talking among themselves in Vietnamese. Customer service here is lacking. Then at the end they overcharge me by five dollars and still expected a tip! Brought my Mom here while the boys were doing boy stuff and was so pleasantly surprised. The staff is so friendly and did an amazing job. Made an appointment with my daughter for 12 for two fills. While my daughter called to make two appointments. They were rude wouldn't let her get a word in. When we arrived for our appointments they took my daughter after an hour of waiting. Filed her skin around her nail (made a that wasn't good face) didn't say anything. Visiting from San Diego, decided to get a manicure last minute. They got me in right away the staff was super friendly and helpful and picking out the colors- I showed the tech my business card and asked her to match it as close as possible. BE CARFULL and check your bank statements, I went and got a pedicure the charge was $21.00 and I left a $5 cash tip because they said they cannot put the tip on the debit card, after I got my bank statement they had charged me $44 so obviously the man that did my pedicure changed my receipt I signed or someone did.. Good thing I keep good records. I should have reported this to the police, this is stealing. I contacted my bank and they will take care of it.. Next time I will.. This place is terrible. Wanted it to be good as I live locally. Had one Infill here which was done sloppily and not right at all. No shaping of the nail and used the drill file all around my cuticles which left my hands in agony all day. Another time i called to see if i could come get some broken nails fixed and spent ten minutes on the phone with someone who could not understand a word I was saying. I was simply asking for an appointment. In the end she hung up on me. Now I have no idea where to go for nails up here?!?! read more

I've been going here for over a year now and I absolutely love the staff. They go above and beyond to make sure that I get what I want every time. Thier pedicures are to die for and I always feel like a pampered princess when I go there. They do get super busy so if you don't have an appointment, be prepared to wait. Amy was very rude. I needed a nail fixed and she started talking in Vietnamese and it felt like she was badmouthing me. She said it would take a long time but I actually didn't have to wait long. Before I left, I said out loud that I get my pedicures there. They should be more appreciative of their regular customers. Maybe she should learn to smile. A year and a half later and this is still the BEST mani-pedi on the mountain! I have a standing appointment every 2 weeks and they are all just awesome! I feel like a million bucks when I leave there! I don't normally do this but I was just reading some of the recent reviews and I have to say no one there has ever been pushy about adding services or doing what I don't want. I'm pretty irritated at the gal who wrote the ridiculously long book on 7/24/13. If you wanted a shop that dropped everything and stopped doing business for that day just for your party, you probably should have used common sense and chosen a regular salon. Having an appointment is helpful but I if I have to wait a few minutes that's ok as I understand that these types of nail places are almost 100% walk in business. read more

Do not go here. This place was so great a couple years ago. They do not do any new styles designs or techniques. Your nails will look terrible every time and you will pay a lot for the crappy job. The shape of your nails will be thick uneven and ugly. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I've gone here several times in the past and had good service. Went last week to have a full set put on. The acrylic is way too thick the guy (Michael) hardly filed my nails and they aren't smooth. I had to ask him to file under the nails because they were rough. And the clear coat he put on has a ton of bubbles. Horrible job!!! And he spoke so little English we couldn't communicate. I previously enjoyed going to Blue Jay Nails, even if their customer service isn't great. After today though, I won't go back. I was super excited to have scheduled a mani/pedi because I was in need of some pampering. I arrived right on time. No one even acknowledge me for 20 minutes. Then, after 20 minutes, someone asked me where my mask was. Since the mask mandate has been dropped, I haven't been carrying them with me but I would be happy to wear one even though I'm vaccinated. I assumed, like many businesses, they would have a cheap blue one to offer. But they said no, they didn't have any and then walked away. I had been sitting there for 20 minutes!!! Another person next to me had no mask and she was taken back for her pedicure. Businesses are entitled to their rules, that's fine, but acknowledge me when I come in and make it easier for me to stay. They just lost a regular customer!! I will not be going back to Blue Jay nails. read more

My mom was visiting from Vegas and we like to try & squeeze in some nail time when we can. I took her down to the Villiage and they only had time to take care of one of us. I let that place take care of my mom first. Afterward, I found Blue Jay Nail & Spa & my mom said go try it out to see if they can see you. I should have listened to the other reviews. I went in not expecting much but somehow it was worse than what I expected. I asked for a pedicure in a manicure and the woman who helped me was so incredibly mean to me. She yelled at me for how I held my hands. Halfway through the manicure she wanted me to change seats and didn't help me carry my things. I asked her to use my own oil rather than her lotion and she wouldn't. I asked her to turn on the massage chair when I was getting my pedicure. It was on this weird setting and I asked if I could change it and she said that was the only setting when it was clear there were 1 million settings. And worst of all she tried to put on my shoes immediately after painting my nails and I had to fight with her to ask her to wait for a few minutes. After getting rude discriminating treatment for our disabled family member at luxe nails we switched to Blue Jay. "Ha" is the best and treats our entire clan equally and with the best service. They are amazing and way clean. They do good eyebrows also! Highly recommend! read more

I came in for a quick manicure. They got me right in, which I was grateful for. The color selection is limited and the polishes they do have are old and look clumpy. The nail tech did a fine job, but wouldn't stop hounding me to upgrade to a no-chip, which I politely declined 3 times. By the 4th time I started to get annoyed. They advertise that they take credit card, but then charge you an extra $1.00 when you use it. They also don't allow tips on cards. If you have an option to go anywhere else, I'd highly recommend getting your nails pampered elsewhere. Very weak massage. Lots of constant chatter in another language, which it feel is rude. Do not get a pedi in these 100% unsanitary spa chairs. Seems like a great deal right...no these chairs are never properly disinfected because you cannot disinfect or sanitize in the jets, nor do they even bleach or use cleaner between each person and service. If you shaved your legs and the person before you had something icky to share you have a very good chance of contracting a number of serious infections. After badgering for callous remove they will scrape the delicate skin right off your arch managing to miss the rough areas all together cause they are either chattering or watching the tv instead of the foot they are working on. If you must go here try to request Tom. I had such a bad not to mention painful experience here. One lady quickly and roughly ripped my nails off with out soaking or any kind of gentleness, then sat me with the gal who was going to gel paint, she didn't realize I had nail polish on my new growth and thought it was acrylic still on my nail got out the Dremel to remove it with on my already tenter throbbing thin natural nails. I just called the salon to make an appointment. When the girl answered the phone I couldn't understand her at all. I asked for an appointment with Olivia for nails and eyebrow wax. I couldn't understand what time she said. I asked for 2:30 and she said 3:30. Our communication was poor to say the least. The other times I have been to the salon there was someone at the desk that spoke much better English. Each time I have gone there I feel like I am in a foreign country. The women speaking to each other in their language and laughing. I'm not paranoid...but how do I know if they are talking about me? Some times it was very painful...I thought that I was going to be pampered not tortured! Sometimes the polish didn't last more than a couple of days before chipping. This will be the last time I go here. I have given it enough tries.
