I've been to Blue Mango at least a dozen times as my office is not too far away. It's a good place to have a lunch meeting or to just meet with some friends to catch up. I met with my good girlfriend yesterday for a quick lunch and I have to admit that I have forgotten how good this place actually is. Thai Food and Sushi is the theme but the fusion is what makes it fun because there is something for everyone on the menu. I ordered the Crab Fried Rice and it was sooooo good. The portion was huge so I had to pack some home but the flavors were all there. My girlfriend ordered the Spicy Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and I had a taste -- super delicious. We ordered the Fresh Spring Rolls to share and I thought the mango added a very refreshing touch to the spicy homemade peanut dipping sauce. I love their dessert menu also. Who is their right mind would ever deny Fried Banana and Ice Cream?! And, the gentleman who waited on us was awesome. I came in not knowing exactly what to expect but walked away honestly surprised by how tasty everything was because each bite just had a really balanced flavor that wasn't too salty or bland but had enough punch to keep it interesting without overwhelming your mouth, and while the place itself was clean and chill, what really stood out to me was how kind everyone working there was, like they weren't just doing a job but actually trying to make sure folks were having a nice time, even little things like checking if the food was okay or if I needed anything else but not in a pushy way, more like they genuinely cared, and even though I've been to lots of places where the food was good, this one stuck out just because the vibe felt more human and easygoing, like they actually liked being there and it showed through everything from the way they spoke to how the food looked when it got to the table, it all added up to something simple but memorable. read more

Picked up takeout yesterday after noticing it next to Trader Joe's after our grocery run. We picked up the pineapple fried rice, the Pad Thai and a dragon roll. None of the dishes were amazing, they were all just fine. The Pad Thai was a little flavorless until we added some lime juice. The roll was again a bit bland even after being dipped in soy sauce. I didn't notice the gratuity because the waitress was standing on my shoulder immediately I got the bill, leaving me no time to check. The yellow curry was creamy and coconut flavor was on point. The chicken on curry and pad Thai was dry. I drizzled some of the curry on my pad Thai. Our server was attentive. I've been wanting to try this place since I always see it when I'm shopping at Trader Joe's next door. I had a craving for some yellow curry so I decided to do a takeout order. It's cute inside, but the only interaction I had with staff was at the counter since I did a to-go order so I can't speak on dine-in service. The lady at the counter was friendly and the process to order and pickup was quick. Only took 15 mins for my order of yellow curry and cream cheese rangoons. I went shopping after I put the order in and came back. The rangoons were really good and came with a tangy sweet sauce which I liked (tangier version of what I'm used to, that is). And the wonton wasn't puff pastry so it was nice and crispy. The portion size of the curry was a good portion, about the same as it is at other places. Plenty of meat. Only reason I'm giving an average rating overall though is because the curry was a little bland in comparison to a lot of others I've tried. I don't mean mild either; that's a given since it's yellow curry. It's just a little bland, could use a little more salt/seasoning/sugar or something which I ended up adding a lot of to bring out the flavor. read more

Oh my god.. One of the really transfixing sushi's I've had The only complaint was the tom yum soup being on the sweeter side. We ordered three orders for two people, adding the the third one at the end as we craved after loving it. We had the Dynamite, Avacado and the Vegetable Mafia Sushi. The Chicken Teriyaki is terrible and should not be on the menú. The homemade sauce tastes like soy sauce and a little sugar with no spices added. I think the chicken is cooked and frozen; until you order it and they attempt to make it fresh again to serve to you. Unfortunately, the result ends up being a rubbery tasteless piece of chicken and a major disappointment. On 12/31/24, I attempted to eat lunch there and was surprised that they were not offering lunch meals due to Holiday excuse that today is a Holiday, but they give you a lunch menú to order from instead of a dinner menú. I informed the server that the Holiday is 1/1/25 and she stated that they were using an extended over the weekend/Holiday no lunch meal Policy to justify the no lunch meal, but since I only found out about it after the food arrived without the soup I inqiured about, she would give me a 15% discount. The place is very welcoming, as soon as it is safe to eat again at the restaurants, I will not hesitate to come here. The place small really nice and looks very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they make sure they're handing you the right order.  Food verdict: Tasty, great portions, with the right temperature, texture, colorful and textured and the have a wide menu. Such a positive experience at Blue Mango. Stopped by for lunch on a weekday and got seated immediately. I choose the green curry and it was extraordinary. I also love my spicy foods so I opted for spice level 9 (you can choose 1-10), let me say it was actually spicy! Portion size was pretty big so I had to skip dinner. Entree came with tofu soup, small salad and option of brown or white rice. They have a promotion going on right now; there was an Easter basket full of Eggs, you choose one and inside its 5%, 10% or 15% off your next meal. So fun! Stopped in here during a busy lunch hour and luckily got quickly seated. The Hostess/waitress was extremely efficient as she was the only one there. It was impressive how well each table was served and topped off with beverages. Our food came out pretty quick despite the busy hour. I ordered the spicy noodles with tofu and at a 7 heat rating. This place likes it hot! Glad to find a restaurant that really can deal the heat out. The noodles were delicious and surrounded with sprouts and peppers. My only real issue with blue mango is that I have to call my orders in all the time since neither their website nor their DoorDash allow for modifications on orders or special instructions. The food is always delicious, my go to is the Blue Mango fried rice. The sweet pork they put on top is so yummy I wish there was more throughout the dish. When I came in this time they also presented with an envelope that contains a gift certificate that you can bring back anytime during January 2022 and you can get anywhere from $7, $10, $15, $25 off your order. Dinner for four at this place last night and it was yummeeee! First off, our servers, yes two people, served us well. Quite spoiled and even if they were busy, attended to us magnificently. This place serves both Thai and sushi. Quite extraordinary for the combination specialty. Food was excellent, compliments to the chef and I like the fact that they have a scale for spice level, 1-10 range. We had the papaya salad, larb, beef salad, sashimi, and the best dish for me was the mango chicken curry. It had cashed, mango, pineapple, bell peppers and raisins! Yes raisins! It blended real well. We end up ordering from here a lot as we are in the Trader joe's/target complex more often than I want to admit. They have a vegetarian menu for Thai food and a long list of vegetarian sushi. Their vegetable mafia sushi is the BOMB. It has sweet potato, avocado, cucumber, pickled carrots and it is deep fried. The sauce on top is pretty good. Another favorite is the dynamite which is spicy sushi. Their Thai food is also very good. I like their Panang curry. It is creamy and has enough curry to enjoy with rice.They have delivered on the spice level lately. A year ago, I had to order Thai Hot levels and ask for chilli paste, but past couple of times, their Hot has been pretty spicy. The pad thai and drunken noodles are good but oily. Pre-covid we used to go to the restaurant for dinner and it is a nice, clean space and was never crowded. Service was also very good. We have ordered to-go lately and the food is always packed properly and is ready for pickup. They have a stand for hand sanitizer which you dispense by pushing on a pedal with your foot and the staff wears mask and gives you sanitized pens. I was having some major Thai food cravings and luckily there happened to be a Thai place nearby. This was my first time at Blue Mango. I arrived at around 1pm on a Sunday. There weren't any customers so I was greeted immediately. They are taking the necessary precautions due to COVID. They limit entry to 3 people max at a time. There is only one chair out to sit if needed. They sanitize the pen you use to sign the receipt before and after. They enforce social distancing. Overall, the service was great. The lady who took my order was so sweet and welcoming. She even included a complimentary small thai ice tea with my order. YAY! She was wearing a mask at all times as well. However, I noticed that one of the cooks in the back was not wearing his mask, so I knocked off one star. I ordered chicken pad thai. It wad a bit pricey and wasn't the best I've ever had but it was still good! The waitress offered hot sauce as well, but it would have been nice if we could select a spiciness level beforehand. However, flavor and quantity were good. It definitely quenched my Thai food cravings and I got to help out a small business in the process! I will come back if I'm in the area. read more

#covid19 update: ordered takeout lunch here today and it was ok. The food was ready when promised, and the portions were generous. However, my combo pad thai had only chicken (no shrimp or tofu or anything else). The flavor was ok, and definitely improved with the squeeze of the included limes. I also got the pad see ew with chicken and it was fine. I really want to support local-owned businesses, and there was nothing terrible about my meal (just bummed about my missing shrimp and tofu in the pad thai), but I don't think I'd go really far out of my way to return here. read more

The Penang curry was a little sweeter than I would like, the fried eggplant in garlic sauce was yummy not too oily, I was surprised by the garlic fried rice it had turmeric I was skeptical at first, but I could just eat that as it, it was delicious. We took coconut rice too I highly recommend it with all curries. Service was good, they had just one host but he didn't seem stressed and handled everything well. Overall I would come back here. My manager planned a team lunch here on a Monday. We were quite a big group of close to 15 people. Although this place just seemed like a Thai place initially, they also happen to have sushi. Some of the appetizers we ordered were the cream cheese wontons, satay chicken, crispy tofu and spring rolls. All of the appetizers were good except for the crispy tofu. A bit too bland for my taste. For the entree, I got the Panang curry with beef. I was disappointed with the dish. The flavors were light and insufficient, the dish tasted sweet and the beef was not cooked consistently. The menu mentioned the Panang curry to be 'spicy' but that wasn't the case. My colleague ordered the chicken larb and didn't finish it either. I did see a lot of people order the sushi roll's though, so maybe that's better here than than the Thai dished? Maybe next time. read more
