I usually visit the other location downtown on San Fernando Street, but we accidentally routed to this location and gave it a try. We were wowed by the person who helped us named Pinke (I apologize if that is not how her name is spelled!). She was very attentive and very nice! The wait was a little long, so I recommend ordering ahead. The mango sticky rice and yellow curry were the stars of the show! The pad kee mao and basil fried rice were surprisingly bland. The basil fried rice was recommended to us and it was my least favorite dish. There was also a hair in the basil fried rice (pictured below) which was a disappointing :(.

This is a belated review but my family came here back in October for dinner after a wedding rehearsal. We were a party of about twenty people and I felt horrible for the staff that looked after us, especially since I think we only had one waitress. But she absolutely killed it and always made sure our needs were met. The food was also delicious. I got my day's protein intake and enjoyed it greatly. I'd love to come back here when it's just me and not my massive family.

The staff is very knowledgeable on what is/can be made gluten free! Ordered the basil thai fried rice at medium spice and this was such a good kick. The green curry cannot be made gluten free so we got the panang curry with beef at mild and its essentially no spice.

Admittedly, I don't eat Thai food that much, so a lot of these dishes were unfamiliar to me. I ordered what sounded good and they were all really tasty. i think it is a little bit on a pricier side, but it's downtown, so it's understandable.

Great portions & food & service. I got a pad Thai it was epic 6$ beer too made it a great deal

Came here for the SJ Dine Downtown promotion: https://sjdowntown.com/wp-content/uploads/Saby-Thai.png Quiet early Sunday evening, very clean inside. Thai iced tea at good level of sweetness for me and the noodles were good but I enjoyed the egg rolls in particular: Not greasy and good flavor. The waitress was very friendly and attentive and checked to make sure I had everything I needed.

Ok experience. Under staffed, average food. Can try the place if craving for Thai food.

Went in on a random Thursday and boy it was soooo busy (there was an event going on nearby). Even with such a large rush, the staff were friendly and doing their best to put in orders and serve all the guests in a timely manner. The restaurant itself was inviting, a bit hidden, and not too far a walk from San Pedro. Food was good albeit a bit saucy for me, but nothing a side of white rice won't fix! I ordered the basil eggplant which came more with bell peppers than actual eggplant. Vegetables were cooked perfectly with a slight crunch and overall very satisfying. Flavors were good and if you're in the mood for spice, they definitely can pack some heat (when asked). They have a nice variety on their menu for whatever you're craving!

Nice atmosphere in the restaurant for good dinner vibes. Came here with a group of friends and we ordered the appetizer to share. I would say the entrees are pretty decent, but nothing special. Got the lamb curry and it felt like too little lamb for the cost. Their Thai tea was very very good though - not too sweet and still very fresh tea taste. The appetizers were also very nice - especially the shrimp spring rolls.

Came here for lunch and ordered to go. Ambiance was great. Decor is minimal and updated. Very clean inside. Service was efficient. To go orders usually take 15-20 minutes so it's best to call and order ahead. The lunch menu has great specials for $15 dollars you get entree curry, rice and a side salad. I ordered the the basil eggplant with chicken and it was delicious. Portions were great. You can adjust the spice level and they give you fresh red chili's. Wish they offered more rice though because I ran out.

Had pad kee mow and it was just okay. If you put pad see ew next to each other, you wouldn't tell the difference in taste or look. The pad keeps mow just tasted like pad see ew with basil. Disappointing that this and another thai place can't get it right. Nevertheless, it was good and generally what I would pay. It's close to work and the food came out fast. Would come here again but I wouldn't order this again.

I'm an avid partaker of Thai cuisine and I must say that this is some of the best yellow curry I've ever had!!! Delicious

    THAI B.B.Q CHICKEN Set
    Gerald L.

It's pretty good in my opinion but not super great. Mainly because it's clear the THAI B.B.Q CHICKEN was pre cooked and reheated. Parts of the chicken were cold. Other users were overcooked and dry. The papaya salad was good but the sticky rice tasted like regular rice. Doesn't that usually have coconut or simmering? However, the GOONG GA BAWG was very good! It's like a shrimp rolled up in an egg roll skin. Lastly, the Penang curry was pretty good.

If the dish is not spicy, it just isn't worth eating IMO. Dining with kids typically guarantees no spice level and that is simply depressing. While she is occupied with school, I took the opportunity to satisfy one of my many cravings. This lead me to Must Be Thai. With a solid 4 star rating and nearly 2500 reviews, I took a leap of faith and detoured from my normal go-to eatery. Our party of 3 adults arrived right before the lunch rush and we were seated immediately upon us signing in with the tablet. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Menus were provided and the staff went right into trying to take our order. A simple request for more time was obliged. Offerings you will find are sharable appetizers and a list of foods broken down into specific regions of Thailand. Lunch: *Anchan Lemonade (Butterfly Pea Flower) x2 *PAD SEE YOU [Calamari] *PAD THAI [Prawns] x2 *GREEN CURRY [Chicken] *Single Serving of JASMINE RICE [[Spice level here is apparently not an option. Dishes are made without spice unless the menu states heat. An assortment of chili condiments are available upon request to remedy the lack of heat.]] Food was absolutely delicious! The best item during the meal was the pad thai. This was so good we had to order 2. The noodles were cooked well- still having a nice amount of chew to it. These managed the thorough coating of the pad thai sauce without making the dish mushy. Shrimp protein was an added $5 fee but the portions were plentiful. We went with the green curry due to it being described as sweet and spicy- the perfect balance in flavors. The curry is automatically made at a medium spice level but on Thai terms- be advised this may be too spicy for the average person. The green curry was enjoyed by all and I would easily order this again. Pad see you was good, not as good as the pad thai, but still very delicious. While other reviews note this dish as being too sweet, I didn't notice since I put a good dusting of the dry chili powder on my food. The anchan lemonade deserves a little bit of the spotlight. This drink is 100% recommended due to it being refreshing, beautiful on the eyes, and sour as any lemonade should be!! You won't find a sugar packed cup of color liquid here. 5/5 stars for Must Be Thai!!! Pricing is definitely pricey and I only wished the portions were a little bigger. But!! Everything is made fresh, the ingredients are high quality, and the staff is killing it in the kitchen. I'm a fan!!

I think it's a common practice in Thailand to use so much plastic for food but I think it's high time people start becoming cognizant to the ill effects of plastic and micro plastic leeching especially when used with hot food.

A generous portion of noodles and veggies, but not as much meat (which is fine by me). As a spicy loving girl, the spiciest level option was good as it was present throughout the entire dish, meaning it was mixed in well! I appreciated this immensely. Also got a mango sticky rice to feed my sweet tooth, and it was good too! Served with blue rice which made it pretty. The bad: Oh my god. I love Rad Nar normally, but when I ordered it from here through UberEats, I was severely disappointed and couldnt even finish a third of the dish. It was severely sweet. Now, I do love my sugar, but holy crap it tasted like they marinated the meat, veggies, and noodles in sugar and then added more sugar when cooking it. I also got the spicy option so it was really weird to eat something sickenly sweet with a little bit of spice when expecting a spicy, savory dish. Maybe it was a bad night for the chef or they mistook salt for sugar, but wow. I was in shock, and in the bad way lol.

The fermentation concept is woven into everything from the beers and botanical mocktails to the food and it actually works incredibly well. Fox Tale Fermentation is a small place like a Japanese ramen shop. My high school classmate suggestion this place and I thought she was vegetarian. I asked her why this place; she wanted to try it out but she's a meat eater. I'm down to try new places so we went. When we went, it was really crowded for a Thursday dinner time. A lady saw my cane and offer her table to sit at so I felt seen. You pretty much order at the front counter; you pour your own water. Front counter was so nice to us as we try to order. We got the funk salad and kombucha. We didn't order a lot because we wanted to try the place. When we got to our table, it was near the door. Our funk salad came and it was hefty mf. It was a bowl of salad all right. So you know how I said earlier that I don't like vegetarian food? OMG I was amazed. The best salad I've eaten. The vinaigrette was so good; it was citrusy. My salad was cut into small pieces so it wasn't big that I need to cut it. The sweet potato was sauteed. The princess sauerkraut was so good. I don't like sauerkraut at all but it was divine. I never tried kombucha because I thought it was dirt tea. I was wrong. It has the fermented taste and I never knew. After trying it, it's not something I would order again. I liked how I was eating "healthy" food after I ate bad yesterday. I don't have that bad bloated feeling. It's very wheelchair friendly and restroom is unisex. The restroom is clean.
