I've been ordering from this place for almost a decade and it's truly a hidden gem for go to Chinese food lunch and dinner specials. Old Skool Chinese food . We ordered the deliciously tangy and crispy Tangerine Chicken which is a must try. Crispy Chicken glazed over with a rich, deeply glossy carmelized sauce and I also requested the Chefs Special Fried Rice with Shrimp & Pork in addition to their Mongolian Beef with Green & White crunchy savory onions with a rich , oyster-sauced brown meat glaze wok-seared throughout . This place is the classic , hole-in-the-wall for authentic Old-Skool style Chinese food . Great flavors !

This is a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Great customer service with great food. I really enjoyed it.

First time trying this place. My husband said it's good so why not? Dinner menu to go: shrimp chow fun, Mongolian beef, tangerine chicken, chicken with snow peas and mixed vegetables. I must say, not bad at all. We steamed our own jasmine rice. To go portions was good enough to feed 6! I think this is better than Panda Express (to me is Americanized style) but not at the level such as Mayflower (Milpitas) or Dynasty (formerly at Cupertino). I'm stuffed!!!

Ordered the below food from here a couple of days back through Uber East 1. Vegetable Fried Rice 2. Kung Pao Tofu I am going to be strictly honest here. I was highly disappointed with the quality and quantity of Vegetable Fired rice. It was not cooked properly. I tasted terrible, literally no flavors at all. I had to add all the kinds of flavors (even salt) by myself to make it edible. It costs pretty high for such low standard tasteless food. Kung Pao Tofu was just ok. One thing is for sure, I am never ordering food from here ever again.

Everything smells great and I could see everything being prepped fresh in be kitchen. Promising first impression Ordered takeout. Crab Puffs, candied prawns and white rice. I was disappointed by the food quality.

Their honey walnut prawns.... Couldn't be consumed.

Food was subpar. The meat was greasy and rubbery and there was no flavor. You'd be better off going to Panda Express.

This is now my go-to spot for galbijjim. I remember thinking right after we left the restaurant that night that I was already looking forward to our next visit. The rice cakes in there were chunky compared to most places, which made it a more enjoyable eat. It was my first time having sooyuk and I loved the cuts of meat in there, especially the tendon. The restaurant appears to be family-owned and operated, and everyone there is incredibly kind and welcoming. They regularly checked in on us, kept our water and tea refilled, and made us feel well taken care of throughout our meal. When we packed our leftovers to go, they even offered to refill our soup container for us--now that's exceptional service! It's the little things like that that keep customers coming back. They're currently offering 10% off during the month of July to celebrate their 10-year anniversary, which makes it an even better time to visit. I'll definitely be back and look forward to continuing to support this wonderful local business.

-- Me: 3/5 | My wife: 2/5…read more We paid $101 for the Galbijjim with extra cheese (+$6), and unfortunately, for the price and wait, we expected a lot more. We originally planned to dine in, but after waiting a little over an hour, we decided to switch our order to takeout because we couldn't spend that long waiting for dinner. When we got home, the first thing we noticed was the kimchi. It looked noticeably darker and browner than what we're used to. The discoloration was a little off-putting at first, but surprisingly, the kimchi itself tasted good. Galbijjim Meat: 2.5/5 The beef was what Koreans would describe as 질겨 (jilgyeo) tough and chewy. With galbijjim, I expect the meat to be very tender and easily pull apart, so this was disappointing. Sauce: 3/5 You can see some red pepper in the dish, but we felt like most of the heat was coming from something closer to chili oil or a capsaicin-based sauce rather than the peppers themselves. It tastes good while you're eating it, but you'll probably pay for it later. Tteok (rice cakes): 2.5/5 The rice cakes were a little tough as well. If you're expecting the soft, chewy tteok you normally get with tteokbokki, don't expect the same texture here. Portion: 4/5 The portion is definitely large. I'd say one order can comfortably feed around 3 people, depending on how much everyone eats. Restaurant / Wait: 2/5 The restaurant itself is pretty small, which seems to contribute to longer-than-normal wait times. Waiting over an hour for a $100+ dish definitely affected our overall impression. Would we come back? Probably not. My wife gave it 2/5, and I'd give it 3/5. For $101, we expected more tender meat and a flavor profile closer to traditional galbijjim. The portion was generous, but overall, the food wasn't worth the wait or price for us. We'll be looking for a place that's more aligned with the traditional galbijjim recipes and flavors we're used to.
