This is a cafeteria style thai food place. I've tried their pad kew mao, pad see ew, pad thai, fish, soups, and chicken. My personal recommendation is their pad thai. I like switching around but I always go back to it. It's also located in Paloma plaza so the parking can get a little packed.

I love thai elephant! This plaza is always super busy and I ordered ahead on the phone. They quoted me 15 mins and it's ready when I get there. My go to is the medium pad thai with no peanuts. I do also love their pad see ew and pad kee mao as well.

How is this place literally in my hood & I've never been tons of parking because it's located in a huge shopping plaza BUT you better know what your there for & don't think about any where else to eat, because there's so many food options in this plaza. Go ahead and try this place out, if your wondering about this place & want to eat Thai food, you won't be disappointed & your craving will be satisfied. I think the cashier, server is the owner, very friendly & helpful, if you have any questions about the menu. I think the pricing is pretty decent & good for the quality & amount of food you get.

Update: This is STILL the best pad thai in the area. Unfortunately, the price has gone up quite a bit ($20 for tofu pad thai **cries**), but I still find myself coming back from time to time. It's just too good! I always recommend calling in beforehand to get the order started while you're driving there.

Thai Elephant has been around for many years and it's one of my favorite grab and go places to eat! We went here again today and absolutely loved it. The plaza it's located in makes it really difficult to find parking because of how small it is compared to all of the yummy stores around it but it's very worth it. The customer service here is amazing! We came in around 12:30 PM and I was super indecisive on what curry to get and the lady let me sample it. We decided on the two item plate with white rice, tamarind fish, and the garlic chicken. My favorite is the tamarind, the sauce is so delicious with the crispy fish. It's sweet and savory at the same time. I also loved the yellow curry. Filled with so much flavor and lots of chicken, potatoes, and carrots. This side was only $5. Total for the box, drink, and curry side was only $21. You cannot beat that price anywhere for the amount of food you get. If you love thai food and want something quick, this is the spot!

Sweet and sour fish, pad thai, tom kha

Came here for a quick dinner and this was place was an okay hole in the wall place. We got the tom kha, sweet and sour fish, pad thai. Tom kha could use more sourness for my liking. The fish was perfectly cooked and went well with the rice. The pad Thai could use more spice. Service was okay and there's some seating inside.

WOW, over 10+ years and this place is still as good as ever!!! I remember when this place opened when I was in high school over a decade ago. So, I left America for 3 years and recently came back..I was craving some Pad Thai and looked to see if this place was still open and it was!!! So happy this place is still open. Yay!!! My dad offered to pick up some food from here for me today after hearing me ask about it. He got the spicy chicken pad thai, some chili salmon dish, and garlic chicken.. All three of the dishes he got me were amazing!!! This has to be one of my favorite Thai food places in San Jose!!! I love how after 10+ years their food is as good as ever and they do not skimp on their portions!!! Loveesee Thai Elephant Express!!!

I was in the area and wanted Thai food, and Thai Elephant Express came up on my maps with great reviews, so I went there. The parking lot was super crowded on a Saturday, so keep that in mind if you go on a weekend. The service was very good--since it was my first time I took some time to look over the menu, and they kindly waited for me to order. I got the sweet and sour fish in a one item meal, and it was pretty good! The fish had good texture and the sauce was tasty.

    Veggie Thai basil fried rice

I used to go here all the time when I lived in the South Bay. Now that I live in the East Bay, this is one of those spots where I have to stop by if I'm in San Jose and order takeout. This place is in an Asian plaza, and parking is hard to find. Sometimes, it's easier to park on the street facing Target. I've tried a few of their dishes, such as pad thai, spicy fish, and garlic chicken. Spicy fish is delicious, and I highly recommend it if you order a combo box. However, I now order the same thing every time, which is veggie Thai basil fried rice. I'm a big meat eater, but something about their veggie basil fried rice hits differently. I like that it has fried tofu, fried egg, baby corn, bell pepper, and Thai basil. I always order the dish with extra basil and make it medium spicy. I can eat spicy, but I ordered spicy once, and it was too overwhelming. I know pad thai is what most people order here, and it's good, but it's not the best time I've had. I think people like it because of the big portion.

GREAT small business in silver creek! Everyone working there is incredibly nice, the food is incredible flavorful and the portions are generous. The prices are also great as well! Such a staple authentic Thai fast food restaurant in the area. I truly recommend this place!

Food is yummy with great portion compared to the price. They have a few tables but lean more towards take-out kind of vibe. You can order on the phone before picking up to save time.

Thai Elephant's Pad Thai NEVER disappoints. I've been going here my whole life and haven't gotten tired of this yet. This place is truly a gem Their basil fried rice is also so good too. The service here is great! Nothing to complain about. You tell them what you want to order, and they attend to that! Ambiance is nice, this place feels more like a take-out rather than sit-down. You can eat your food there though! They have a couple tables, but not m

Pad see ew, garlic chicken, tamarind fish
    Edna D.

Food is consistently good for a quick Thai takeout meal. This time, we had pad see ew, and medium-size orders of both garlic chicken and tamarind fish. We've had other dishes before and enjoyed them all. Service is good with in store and phone orders. The restaurant is small and clean. Since there are so many restaurants and boba places around, parking lot can get busy during peak times.

The rich coconut curry broth was velvety, aromatic, and full of depth, while the crispy noodles on top added the perfect crunch. Every spoonful was comforting and incredibly satisfying. The Pad Thai was equally impressive. The noodles were cooked perfectly and coated in a flavorful sauce that balanced sweet, tangy, and savory notes beautifully. Topped with fresh bean sprouts and a squeeze of lime, it was fresh, vibrant, and hard to stop eating. The Pineapple Fried Rice was another highlight. The rice was light and fluffy, loaded with juicy pineapple chunks, tender chicken, vegetables, and sweet raisins. The combination of sweet and savory flavors worked wonderfully together, making each bite interesting and delicious. We also ordered the Roti, and it was fantastic. The exterior was beautifully crisp and golden while the inside remained soft, flaky, and buttery. Dipped into the accompanying curry sauce, it was pure comfort food and something I would gladly order every single visit. Beyond the amazing food, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. Our water stayed full, our questions were answered with a smile, and we never felt rushed. As a spicy loving girl, the spiciest level option was good as it was present throughout the entire dish, meaning it was mixed in well! I appreciated this immensely. Also got a mango sticky rice to feed my sweet tooth, and it was good too! Served with blue rice which made it pretty. The bad: Oh my god. I love Rad Nar normally, but when I ordered it from here through UberEats, I was severely disappointed and couldnt even finish a third of the dish. It was severely sweet. Now, I do love my sugar, but holy crap it tasted like they marinated the meat, veggies, and noodles in sugar and then added more sugar when cooking it. I also got the spicy option so it was really weird to eat something sickenly sweet with a little bit of spice when expecting a spicy, savory dish. Maybe it was a bad night for the chef or they mistook salt for sugar, but wow. I was in shock, and in the bad way lol.

A lady saw my cane and offer her table to sit at so I felt seen. You pretty much order at the front counter; you pour your own water. Front counter was so nice to us as we try to order. We got the funk salad and kombucha. We didn't order a lot because we wanted to try the place. When we got to our table, it was near the door. Our funk salad came and it was hefty mf. It was a bowl of salad all right. So you know how I said earlier that I don't like vegetarian food? OMG I was amazed. The best salad I've eaten. The vinaigrette was so good; it was citrusy. My salad was cut into small pieces so it wasn't big that I need to cut it. The sweet potato was sauteed. The princess sauerkraut was so good. I don't like sauerkraut at all but it was divine.
