UPDATE: Spoke to the manager... he was apologetic and was not surprised that we called to complain and request a refund. Our money was refunded and they were not interested in taking back the food (we pitched it). Truly appreciated that refund. Apparently they are having personnel/staffing issues. Food might have actually been good if cooked properly and served promptly. Added a star for trying to make things right. (ORIGINAL REVIEW... I could give a zero I would. Placed a large take out order was told it would be 40 minutes. 2 and a half hours later they gave the food to us. It was dumped in the bags. Asked for refund the staff would not. I was in Uniontown over Thanksgiving week. We were in the area from New York City and decided to grab a bite. It's a pretty cozy no frills kinda place. The menu is diverse. You want Mexican, they got it. Pizza- no problem. Asian stir fry- yep. Even vegetarian options. And the prices can't be beat! But what they don't have is the 2 things we wanted: hot coffee and tea!! I asked for coffee and the guy who worked there said they don't serve coffee. I'm like, just today. He says, never!! Really??? Seriously should not call your place a cafe if you don't serve coffee or tea!! Even instant coffee would've sufficed. We understand you're a bar as well but geez. Cmon. Arrived at 5:40 yesterday afternoon. Ordered rather quickly, a burrito and a chicken salad and an appetizer. At, 6:13 the appetizer arrived. Had been out of a drink for at least 10 minutes. I had to leave for work by 6:30. At 6:25, summoned the male wait staff to the table and told him that we needed o leave and needed my order to go. 6:31 received my order ready to go. took 5 minutes for my tab to be settled. All the while of waiting, my wife and I observed the female wait staff delivering beer after beer, ignoring us, and handing out hugs and flirting with the older males that were drinking alcohol. I finally got to eat my burrito at work around 11:30, it was cold and nasty. I was to get nachos and cheese and cole slaw with my order. It was not there. My wife took her salad home to eat. The chicken salad consisted of chopped lettuce, 3 chicken planks (hard as a rock) and shredded cheese. Now, I want to know how it took that long to create such a disaster. 4 stars because homemade French fries would have just added to the giant burger! The burger was excellent! The best price for such a huge burger! The home made chips and dip did make up for the fries, but I am all about those fries. If I'm ever back in Union town, I will be back to the blue moon cafe. I wish I could give this place a better review, been wanting to stop here for awhile, it was recommended by a friend. Service is super slow, took forever to even get two very basic appetizers and the place was not really that busy when we were there. The burgers were big I will admit that but they were all falling apart and my husband and son were not impressed. I ordered the fish sandwich and fries with cole slaw, I never saw the cole slaw, and it was really the worst fish sandwich I've have ever eaten in a bar. The fish was just bad, no other real explanation. Not to mention that I really thought it was a bit pricey for what we got. Will not likely be back. read more

Blue Moon's burgers are especially fantastic (and incredibly large). As another reviewer had said, it can take some time for food to arrive, but I feel like you'll understand why once you see the portions. They've recently renovated the inside of the bar and the atmosphere has greatly improved. However, this is still a bar and a lot of the food is bar food. That being said, their burgers are surely the best in Uniontown and maybe Fayette County. read more

I'm usually pretty pleased with the food from here matter of fact the food was excellent but it took me a hour and four beers later for my food to come the app we orederd didn't come out before the food came out with my entree it's good food don't get it twisted but for how slow it was on a Friday night come on. read more

After waiting 5 minutes at a dead bar, I have to ask the bartender to make me a drink. She gets snippy with me because she's been waiting on me to make a drink. The gin & tonic was harsh. Improperly mixed. I'm pretty upset with the negative attitude and would not come back. read more

The food was really good but I don't think it was worth the wait. Forty five minutes for a salad and sandwich is too much in my book. There were only 6 people in the place and 4 of them were at the bar. We watched, the waitress took our order and then hung on to it for a while before she turned it into the kitchen. I would have to say I have seen some weird things here lately. Blue moon is not a bad drinking spot. The food is pretty good. Burgers are amazing! My complaint here is they are asking people to leave positive reviews on yelp, which clearly violates Yelps terms and condition. Take a look for yourself. Notice lots of new 5 star reviews. Mostly from employees, family members, and regulars. Megan S. is an employee , which makes review worthless and is totally against yelps conditions, specifically creating a conflict of interest. No frozen food, everything is fresh? let's be honest about things. Seriously nothing is frozen? food is good, and speaks for itself. why the need for all these extra fake reviews and lies about everything being fresh not frozen? . far as this being a great place for kids too???, its a bar. Its not a childrensenvironment, could this be described as a kids place? No. Is it an adult place. Yes. There is the normal bar atmosphere with plenty of adult language, which is not suitable for anyone under age unless you want to prematurely expose your children to non children things like the kind of stuff that takes place in a bar.
