The good here was so good. Mind you we went with a party of 16 so the server was busy but he did his best to keep up and called for help when he needed it. He made sure to tell us their drinks were strong. While I didn't have one, those that did said that was 100% true. Definitely a place to go back to for both food and drinks.

The sushi rolls here are quite good! The sushi is also high quality. This place is a little expensive for lunch but definitely a great dinner spot.

I have been visiting this place for over a decade. It NEVER disappoints. Kim has been there for 20 years and is on her A game every day, lunch or dinner. The food is fresh, the portions large, the ambiance comfy but still fancy. Hands down my favorite sushi spot!

I have lived two minutes from Blue Ocean for 8 years. Last Thursday I finallyyyyy made it in. The restaurant was packed and busy for a Thursday night. From families to business colleagues the restaurant had it all. The ambiance is beautiful with a sushi bar, fish tank and dark colored tones. Our waiter was very helpful. We ordered the crunchy rolls, lone star rolls, spring rolls and chicken teriyaki. I loved the whale shaped rice and the flavor of the chicken teriyaki was great! My husband said the sushi was some of the best he has ever had. I wasn't a huge fan of the spring rolls but the peanut sauce that came with it was great. Perfect location to celebrate any occasion or to just enjoy someone's company.

Best phili I've ever had. The squid is the top left and it was a 6/10. Very plane roll. Cali was okay... the rice was way to soft and the artificial crab was not smacking like it typically would. The chicken wraps bomb! This was a few weeks ago, so idk the other roll w Maybe a date night place?? That's what we made it into, but are athletic outfits were okay Would have a better review but I always forget it says too wordy on the photo, so I deleted my comment on there

Mmmmmmmm.... the sushi is just fine, not big deal for the price. I was expecting a better meal because the reviews and recommendations, but it's just fine. Pricey.

As an avid Foodie lemme give your the TEA about this place. I was skeptical because of the rating and then I looked hard and realized that the stars fell because of customer service, the food was great! And lemme tell you, my waiter and the waitress for the table next to us were nothing but polite. Idk if they rectified their ways or there was a change in staff but the problem has been fixed. So, with the trendy ambiance, cool switching tables (square to circle), good hosts and great fresh food this place deserves 5. Give it a go and have a good meal and help their rating. If a business tries to correct their issues I believe in forgiving. And the changes were sincere and the foods still amazing :D Only thing is the place is a little dark so if you aren't nocturnal enough to read in dim light I suggest the ol' phone flashlight

As a former fan of "all you can eat" buffets, I noticed as I've gotten older, I'm no longer a fan of "all ya can eat", but hangin' out with da fellas is fun. What can I say about Japan House? 1. The restaurant had an extensive sushi menu for all you can eat. 2. Exceptional service! Our waitress was very attentive, she kept checking up on us and placed our food orders quickly. After placing the food order, the food came out quickly. 3. This restaurant was one of the first restaurants that used an electronic robot. The robot machine brought out the simple items, and I even saw the robot sing "Happy Birthday" to a restaurant patron. 4. The restaurant is casual, and pretty dark inside. 5. The sushi quality is about "middle of the road", not the best, but far from bad. What do you expect for all you can eat? Check out my pics..... And if ya gotta ask, YES......all that food pics I took, I actually ate all that food. I swear when I got back to the hotel, I was in total kanak attack (Hawaiian Paralysis). Lol!

I'm glad I went; they are an all-you-can-eat restaurant. When you arrive, you're greeted by the host, then seated, and they explain the menu and prices, which are actually quite reasonable. They are open from 11:00 to 14:30 for lunch, then reopen at 16:30 to close. The place looks amazing, decorated in authentic Japanese style. Huy, my server, was just fantastic. He explained how everything works and had this great energy about him. He even helped with some recommendations: the Ocean, 911 roll, and the Hot Night roll--all of which are amazing, so I recommend trying those. Also, if you go, ask for Huy. I'll definitely be back to try more because, you know, you can only eat so much, LOL!!!

Since we were craving ramen, we stumbled upon Rakkan Ramen, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant is located in a very swanky and beautiful area. The inside is elegant, well organized, spotless, and so clean you almost feel guilty leaving footprints. As luck would have it, we accidentally entered through the rear entrance and confidently walked right up to the counter as if we knew exactly what we were doing. We were warmly greeted by Ms. Emily and Ms. Jaime, who were both serving as hostess and waitress. Emily escorted us to a comfortable booth and quickly brought us glasses of water, making us feel right at home. We started with the five-piece Chicken Karaage served with arugula and a slice of lemon for $9.50. The chicken was wonderfully crispy, which I really enjoyed. I squeezed that lemon over every piece, hoping for a little extra magic. While the texture was excellent, I thought the chicken itself could have used a bit more seasoning. For our main course, my daughter ordered the Quartz Ramen with chicken and a boiled egg. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, with fresh vegetables that made every bite enjoyable. I ordered the Garnet Ramen, which was just as delicious, with flavorful broth, chicken, vegetables, and a boiled egg. Both bowls were $17, and while they were absolutely tasty, I couldn't help but wish they had been a little more generous with the noodles. I guess they wanted to leave us wanting more! Overall, this place is truly awesome, and you can bet I'll be back--even if I have to go by myself! One little heads-up: finding a parking spot might test your patience, but the walk gives you a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, so it's not a bad trade-off. I hope to see you there!

I got the Sushi Flight that has smoked salmon, salmon, scallop and shrimp and it was amazing! My family ordered their ramen and said it tasted pretty well. The only con was that the server didn't set down any of our food. She would hand it to us as if it was our duty to place it down even when she had the space. Holding really hot bowls and passing it down to my family members where there were much space to put the bowls and plates down in front of us made me upset knowing I was with older adults whom cannot take the steaming ramen bowls.
