We were sat at a booth in right corner, hostess came back and said I'm sorry would it be ok if we moved you? I have a large party that wanted two booths together and the booth behind us open. We had no problems with this and moved 4 booths up. The server came up to greet us and offers the first round of drinks on the house for the move! Customer Service at its finest right there. Next step order oysters to pair with my Albariño- three kinds they had so we ordered 4 of each: Blue Point, New England and Gulf. Having each of them to compare the other to was exceptional. They had their delicious reasons but I chose the Blue Point for their most umami taste and gentle texture. The New England ones were the medium size and had good flavor but more of a firm consistency. Then the Gulf oysters were the largest and most ocean tasting. They each had their share of saltwater with them that I poured out to get to the meat of the oyster. So I read you have to have the Blue Cheese Slaw- and so we did! It was awesome. Get the blue cheese slaw! Dinner was pan fried Chilean Sea Bass with asparagus and the slaw, my hubs got the grouper blackened with lobster mac & cheese and my MIL got the fish tacos with slaw. All were exceptional. Cooked to perfection not overly seasoned and just so darn good! We shared a piece of Key Lime pie that was perfect to end the meal! You wouldn't think that a seafood restaurant has a great burger, but Blue Pointe knows how to make great food on either end of the grill. I got mine medium rare, with blue cheese, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms and onion. (!) It came with crisp lettuce and tomato, on a toasted brioche. I asked for mustard and mayo. The bartender said ketchup, fries, and a dill pickle would come with. I got quite a spread (see photo)! Once I applied mustard, a little mayo, and ketchup, I sliced it in half (so I could fit it in my mouth). This was burger PERFECTION. The "chew" was incredible. Many layers with a wide range of crispiness and density. The grilling was awesome. They must salt and pepper it well, to get that crunchy, thin crust. Honestly, it tasted like the best picnic burger I've ever had. No complaints! The fries were perfectly done. The pickle was perfectly sour and crisp. Absolute worst experience I've had in a long time. We sat down at 5:40. The server came over and brought us water. 10 minutes go by and he takes our drink order. He drops off our drinks and says he will be right back to take our order. Never returns. I had to flag down two servers two different times to have someone send him over. He never apologized or even acknowledged forgetting about us. 6:20 he takes out order. 7:25 our food comes out. My $44 filet came out well done. I wasn't given a steak knife so I had to cut the best I could with a butter knife. The food was absolutely awful. Then, I had to flag him down to get our check. We finally left at 8. Best seafood restaurant during our stay. They make most everything on premises. For some reason you had to ask for the bread. It came sourdough style and was so hot you had to use the napkin to hold it and cut it. It was also very, very good. We inhaled it. We got a second loaf. It was so hot the butter practically dripped off our knifes and absorbed itself into the bread. I was worried that my chowder would be too hot to eat given the above. Some establishments serve the soup so hot that it scorched the taste buds and you can't taste anything for a week. Yeah, I know I could put an ice cube in it, but then it is watered down. My fears were NOT warranted though and the chowder was excellent Whatever you do--order the Brussel sprouts as a side. I don't like those nasty little cabbages so I did not order them. Bad move on my part. My wife convinced me to try one of hers. OMG it was good. Then and there I started bartering with her to trade me another one for an asparagus spear. She held out for two spears for one sprout. She thought she had made a good deal. I let her think that, but I would have went four spears for one sprout. LOL What makes them so good? First they deep Fry them. This makes the outside crunchy. Then they flavor them with a sauce that tastes like a balsamic reduction and to cut the sourness they add something sweet which if I were to guess it was orange blossom honey. read more

As fairly new to the snowbird community this little gem is our favorite for many reasons. Number 1 is the food is consistently great. We have tried several dishes. Right now my current favorite is the scallop and shrimp risotto. I love the ambience of the place. Its quaint size and personal service never fail to make us feel special. We never feel rushed and either the owner or manager is always somewhere checking on the comfort of her patrons. I can't end my review without mentioning our favorite waiter, Kenny. He is always attentive, remembers what we like, and his quick witted sense of humor never fails to make us laugh. If you have not been, it is a must try! read more

Decided to go checkout the HAPPY HOUR which runs from 3:00-6:00pm daily. My wife had the 5 oz Pinot Grigio and I had the red sangria to start off. We ordered the Brussels sprouts for appetizer which was a nice generous portion and very tasty. All entrees come with hot homemade bread and butter, cole slaw w/bleu cheese crumbles. You can also sub the cole slaw for a cup of clam chowder or house salad for an additional charge. For entrees my wife had the shrimp and scallops risotto and I had the Parmesan encrusted North Atlantic flounder with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus with lemon caper beurre blanc. We each ordered another round of drinks, $4 for the wine and $5 for the peach sangria this time. The food was very flavorful and nicely presented on the plate. Our waiter Dale, which was excellent, suggested the French toast bread pudding with pecans, dried cherries, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. Definitely enjoyed his recommendation. A chain-like seafood restaurant located adjacent to the Fort Myers mall serving a variety of fresh seafood, salads and other items. We were looking for a dinner spot not too far from the airport as we were picking up our son so after looking online this seemed to be a place to try. I had high hopes for the place but in the end we were a bit disappointed. To start they give you these iPads as the menu - which I'm sure seemed cool and hip in the planning session but the reality is that it takes twice as long to determine what they sell and what you want to eat so the ordering process can drag on - the only plus, once you figure it out, is that you can click on a link and see a picture of every menu item (clearly they spent some cash on the food photography). To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed by the food. We started by sharing a coconut shrimp - the shrimp were ok but the tiny amount of dipping sauce was so oniony that it was not very tasty. The salad was equally underwhelming. We split a dover sole -which was a HUGE portion but lacked flavor. On the plus side, they have a larger drink and wine list but you have to navigate the complicated iPad first. While we were in vacation on the west coast we wanted fresh seafood, being from South Fla we enjoy fresh seafood and are particular about it. This spot did not disappoint. Decided to go to Blue Pointe for dinner with some friends. Food, Service and Ambiance were all spectacular. LeeAnn was our server and she was great. All of our meals were fantastic! We had oysters and Roasted Brussel Sprouts for appetizers. Both of which we're so yummy! The entree's where Filet - which was cooked to PERFECTION. I ordered mine medium- rare. The other entrees where the Flounder and although I didn't taste , it looked delicious . We were all very very happy with our meals. Cocktails were great as well! Located at the Bell Tower Shops between several other restaurants and across from the movie theater, so parking can be a bit of a challenge some evenings. We visited on a Saturday evening and were seated outside. Our server, Carlos, was polite and indicated he had only been working there for three weeks. He did a good job considering he was also dealing with a large party that were seated a short time after we arrived. He brought out a basket of bread for the table. It was perfectly fine but didn't ring any extra bells for us, like it obviously has for others. Bleu cheese coleslaw accompanies every entrée. If you want, you can substitute a garden salad for an additional $2.95. We did this and I can honestly state that I was very pleasantly surprised by the salad. The house dressing, a mustard seed vinaigrette, was extra special and went well with the mixed greens. With the exception of the tomato slices, that were pale, all the components of the salad were very good quality. This was the highlight of my meal. Our entrees came with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. These were good and did their job as supporting cast members. Our entrees, meant to be the stars of the show, didn't shine as brightly as we had hoped. My husband had the Filet and Lobster. He said they were better than okay but did not wow him. My experience was similar but not quite as good. I ordered the Scallops. They weren't very warm when they arrived at the table and seemed to have been sitting in the sauce in which they were cooked an overly long time. The texture was off and the flavor only okay. To finish, we ordered the French Toast Bread Pudding. It came topped with ice cream, which was our favorite part. Don't misunderstand, it was fine and we ate every bite. It just wasn't as good as other versions we've had in the past. Final Assessment: What I wrote about the dessert pretty much sums up the entire meal. It was fine and we ate it. It just wasn't as good as other meals we've had in the past. The salad was very good; I'm a fan of the salad. However, I don't see us going back for a salad. read more

I came here for lunch while visiting my parents in Florida. The waitress explained how the chef gets all the seafood right from Boston (so you know it's going to be good). I ordered the crabcake which was excellent and drizzled with a delicious sauce. It also came with a side of creamy blue cheese cole slaw, which originally sounded unappealing to me but somehow the flavors worked and I really enjoyed it. I always get the kale quinoa salad as that is their most vegan friendly option on the menu. It is light, fresh and refreshing with kale, quinoa, onion, squash, dried cranberries and almonds. This was our first visit to BP and we love it. The food was excellent because of a rich array of flavors and aromas; started with the calamari and the clam chowder and both were simply delicious. The calamari was crispy but not overcooked while the chowder was creamy, and clam filled. My spouse ordered the scallops, and I went for the tuna; the quality of the scallops and tuna was divine, they melt in your mouth. In comparison with other restaurants in the area the portions and prices are superb. Justin, our server, is probably the best server we have encountered in FT Myers since we moved here from NJ; he was extremely enthusiastic in the manner that he recommended and took care of us. Very cordial yet professional and tactful. His recommendations were on target. The ambience was nice not too loud, well lighted and definitively inviting.
