My husband and I had a gift certificate for this restaurant so we came for dinner on a recent Thursday evening. Of all the times I've been to Belle Tower, I've never noticed this restaurant; I thought it was new, but our server, Nick, said it had been there 15 years! Beautiful, classy interior of rich blues, dark wood and white leather seating. Seating options include bar, booths, high-tops or outdoor patio dining. We elected for a high-top in the center of the restaurant, just across from the oyster-shucking station. I started with shrimp cocktail for an appetizer (we got there before 6pm so this item was on the Happy Hour Food menu and was priced at $8.95 in lieu of $13.95.) About 6 cold shrimp, cocktail sauce with horseradish and lemon, served over ice. Very good. We had to ask our server for a basket of bread. The bread basket contained four breadsticks that had a blueberry taste. They were good and served with soft butter. For dinner, I ordered Chili Shrimp Cappelini. This meal was to be served with/over pasta. When the meal arrived, I noticed it was a shrimp dish with rice (not pasta). I questioned my server whether or not I got the right meal. He came back, expressed his sincere apologies and explained that he hit the wrong button on the computer (each of the shrimp dishes were right next to each other on the screen.) He offered, several times, to exchange my meal for the correct one, but I declined. I was fine with the dish I had, Srirachi Shrimp. Then, to top off the night, my hubs and I shared the French Toast Bread Budding dessert which was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very filling and definitely enough to be shared by two. Overall, this was a nice restaurant. Very elegant, busy. However, I am not a fan of seafood (shrimp only) so the options weren't many for me. Our service was great but the food was not good at all. We went with what was recommended by our server and they were all just blah! The calamari was under cooked and more rubbery than it should be and it was served with a bland sauce. For dinner we ordered the Salmon which was over cooked which made it dry and it had no flavor. Next was my dish which was the highly recommended sea bass by our server. That thing was so salty that I barely ate maybe a 1/3 of it. I did so by trying to scrape and squeeze out the miso sauce that was covering it and also dolloped on the plate I'm guessing for aesthetics. I really tried to eat it with the rice and spinach but after a few bites I couldn't take how salty it was. The best thing was chicken Caesar salad that my daughter had. I didn't try it but she seemed happy with it. And last but not least the brownie Sunday was a plain chocolate cakey brownie with a scoop of ice cream. Not a brownie consistency at all. I will say that despite the food being blah, our server was excellent. Due to an allergy she went back and forth for us several times to ask about certain dishes which we appreciated and which was why I gave it 3 stars. But 4 out of 5 things ordered were nowhere near to being enjoyable so I cannot recommend eating here at all. read more

Our 1st visit was a nice lunch 4 star worthy, 2nd visit dinner was 3 stars for me, my husband was a bit more content. Flounder was all butter and oil, no flavor in the sauce. Couldn't touch the poor asparagus soaked in oil and butter. Decent crisp on the fish saved the dish. Sea bass was good, again well cooked but portions were small. Polenta and kale w 4oz bass was priced steep. They must be making some cash on this plate. Service was very good. Menu was limited. We won't be in a hurry to return. Great restaurant, nice staff. Bell Tower management should do something about letting people know the shops are open, because it looks like many of the restaurants are closed. But they are open! I ordered lobster roll, the bread was warm and fresh. Simple lobster, mayo, onion and celery with a little paprika that topped it off. Very good and refreshing for a hot day. Four of us went back to Blue Pointe to celebrate a birthday. It was more than a little disappointed! We shared a dozen Katama Bay oysters for appetizer. It was fresh but small! We have the coconut gulf shrimp, linguine Pescatore, and Paella for two. The coconut shrimp was deep fried and delicious. We had the Paella for two before. But this time, it was missing chorizo sausage, chicken was just a plain chicken breast, not enough saffron rice and the rice was burned on the side. When I complaint to the server. He checked with the kitchen, I was told we got extra shrimp so we did not get the Chorizo sausage. Well, it was the same four shrimps we got last time! There is no excuse for missing chorizo sausagel. What made it worst, three mussels were on the edge. The linguine Pescatore was good with the exception of mussel. Four more mussels were on the edge too! The chorizo sausage, burned rice, and mussels spoiled our dining experience. I would not recommend this place. This is seafood...This has to be one of the best meal I have had in my recent history. $21 bucks during Restaurant Week Stuff salmon, lobster cake. and a water melon arugula salad...less not forget the rolls and butter with house made sweet tea. The rolls were hot, fluffy and tasty. The tea perfectly balance not overly sweet. The salmon were stuffed with delish magical things, along side a serving of garlic mash potato & french green beans with bacon. The biggest suprise was the arugula salad. I HATE ARUGULA.....This was a melon salad with a wonderfully intertwine dressing that made it perfect for me. No pepper or salt needed. Slightly sweet slightly salted...a wonderful mating. I could have ate more. More... One of the best meals we have ever had! Both the food and the service were exceptional! We were waited on by a young man named Zack, who was informative, kind, friendly, and attentive. When we return, we are requesting him. We ordered, oysters on the half shell; calamari; sea bass; & grouper, and everything was outstanding. There was not a bad bite all evening! A few times a year we trek to this restaurant from the east coast of Florida, salivating along the way! Why? Because we know we will enjoy a fresh, ice cold seafood platter of lump crab, lobster, jumbo shrimp, oysters, and tuna. We usually get an appetizer of mussels or clams, and coconut shrimp or baked oysters too. They have freshly made rolls of pizza dough studded with sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, onion flakes and sesame seeds that come out of Blodgett ovens located on the restaurant floor. And to justify the trip, we take lobster rolls to go (TWO long rolls overstuffed with chunks of lobster and a side of veggies or fries for $18). We've splurged on delicious key lime pie during birthday celebrations as well. We've been coming here for about 5 years and the food has consistently been fabulous. We miss the oysters Florentine that was on their old menu (before their restaurant makeover) and question changes to the content and price of The (cold seafood) Platter but ultimately have no complaints. Usually Denise is our server and we LOVE her (she remembers us each time we visit the restaurant) but you can't go wrong with any of the staff. (I once had a boot on my foot and needed a wheelchair to shop in the mall in the same lot and she not only called the mall office to inquire about a wheelchair and arrange to have one put outside of their office for me but she walked us over to the mall office so we'd know where to go. THAT is service!) We were starving when we got to the restaurant and were digging into the platter before I thought to snap a pic so the tuna and oysters are already gone, as are several jumbo shrimp! Lovely place! We sat outside and enjoyed the very pleasant terrace. Our waiter, Nick, was very good, enthusiastic and on top of things. We ordered martinis to go with our oysters and avocado stuffed with crab. All excellent. We had the parmesan-crusted sole and drunken grouper with lobster mash with a bottle of Whitehaven Sauvignon and finished with the french toast bread pudding. Wonderful meal! Easter brunch with friends (although they don't actually serve breakfast food). Service was weak. Our waiter was also the bartender so he disappeared for lengthy periods of time. Told us he would be back with the bread which never happened. Food was good for most of the party. My wife and her friend had the Avacado with Crab (which is actually an appetizer) and said it was very good. My friend ordered some oysters and sushi, which he said was good. After reading lots of reviews, I can finally cross this place off my Ft. Myers bucket list. We stopped in here for a bite to eat with some snow birds visiting from up North. We were all surprised to see the menus on a tablet. It was a big menu, and took a second to learn to navigate. Our server did an excellent job showing us the features and favorite items on the menu. We had a few minutes in silence studying the menu, and quickly each found a delicious item to try. My husband got the lobster roll, while I got the sea scallops. There were a few other dishes ordered around the table. Overall, everyone enjoyed their food! Each meal came with a bleu cheese coleslaw, which was unique. I wouldn't go back there for the coleslaw. The scallops were well cooked, with a tasty side of asparagus and crispy brussel sprouts! I'd certainly visit again for the sprouts. Our service was good, but nothing above average. Would have loved more water after we finished eating, but they seemed ready to get the checks taken care of and move on with their evening. The bar area is huge, and they have a lot of outdoor seating. I'd certainly try this place again. read more

went to this restaurant this evening for dinner with another couple. 3 of the patrons had seafood which was excellent. I ordered a steak due to allergies. it was awful. undercooked and tasteless. I had to ask 3 times for it to be cooked properly and w times it came back bleeding. extremely poor communication between the waitress and kitchen. I also asked that the plate not include the asparagus, yet all 3 times the dinner was served with asparagus. I paid for our meals and left, without speaking to anyone in management . the server was useless. she laughed each time she brought back the steak, less cooked than the previous time. read more

We celebrated my Birthday here yesterday for our first time visit. Tim, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. He was very attentive, helpful and suggestive. The Happy Hour Food & Cocktail menu was delightful. And the Birthday Meal(Discount) was amazing. We enjoyed The Oysters, Sprouts, Chilean Sea Bass and Lobster. Brûlée finished out our meal....and Tim even served it up with a Birthday Candle for me. So sweet. Terri also came over to introduce herself and invited us back. So, I finally checked this place out. Blue Pointe Oyster isn't far from where I live, I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I hadn't tried it before. I came around 8:45 on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. My timing couldn't have been better, their happy hour food and drink specials started at 9:00 pm. Each table had digital tablets in place of menus. I typically find this type of digital adoption unnecessary. However, the app had an intuitive design that made browsing the menu easy. I decided to order their spicy tuna roll, charred Brussel sprouts and lobster corn fritters. The spicy tuna roll wasn't bad, but I wouldn't write home about it either. There was some extra spice on top of the roll that I had to scrape off with a knife. The charred brussel sprouts were a welcome surprise. They were sprinkled with cheese and a memorable sweet sauce. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't an abundance of sprouts. However, there was an abundance of brussel sprout leaves. The fried corn and lobster fritters were delicious also. With only 4 on the plate, they disappeared quickly. I'm looking forward to checking out some more of what Blue Pointe has to offer. read more

Ate here a few days after Hurricane Irma rolled through. I knew about this place already just never tried let alone after a disaster! I was surprised at the quality of food and customer service after a major hurricane. I would like to be locked in here for a hurricane party for sure!! The service was excellent, the food was great! I was surprised that they order some of their seafood from such distances. I have to say the food was fresh. The coleslaw was out of this world! The blue cheese set it apart and my buds were pleasantly surprised. Only wish the serving of the slaw was larger. The Mahi tacos were great too. You can get the fish cooked any way you'd like. Only thing common on my plate were the fries. However, They were perfectly cooked! Overall, the restaurant deserves its high rating. Customer service was great. The food was great. Cocktails were great. Ample parking available. I mean when not much is open after a disaster and you find a gem!! l will be back to try more!
