Excellent, no nonsense and confident service. Several things to note. His price, at $110 is…read moreexcellent. His prices for parts were a bit on the high side, so my bill was slightly higher than anticipated because we needed lots of, yes... parts. However, he came the next morning at 8:00 a.m. Is very professional, and courteous and I felt comfortable with him. He also did an excellent job and left the space clean. I'll pay extra for that. And next time, maybe I won't need parts, ha! Truly--highly recommend.

Honestly the work is good...as it should be from a master plumber…read more The issue I have is the issue I've had with literally every plumber ever. They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. It is what it is. If I was able to do it myself, I would've. Live and learn Learn a trade kids lol

Jack didn't fall down & break his crown (thank goodness- he was truly stellar) And Josh came tumbling after (to assist like the true pro he is!) In all seriousness, we can always count on Cold Is On The Right Plumbing to help with any issues we may have (and there have been many lately!) Everyone is always so professional, friendly and helpful. Jack and Josh spent almost 7 hours here in the heat to get the job done on the same day that I called. They even helped haul away an old refrigerator for me! 5 stars 10/10 no notes!

I was advised by another plumber that we could save money if we found someone who had a sonar…read moredevice so the water leak could be found quickly instead of him having to dig to find the leak. I called Cold is on the Right, they said they had a sonar device & camera & could get to us that day. I asked what they charged & was told, "$344 for the 1st hour & $200 per additional hour." The area in question was ~10' in diameter. Billy arrived, looked at everything & I asked, "about how much does this kind of job run?" He replied, "repairs like this normally run about $970." That translated to about 4 hours total to find & fix the leak ($344 for the 1st hour + $200 for each additional hour). It was Friday afternoon, we were losing 18 gallons per hour so we agreed to have Billy fix the leak instead of waiting until Monday. ALL of this was VERBAL...no work order & nothing signed. BUT, Billy didn't have the sonar with him even though I specifically asked if they had sonar equipment to locate our water leak. He found the leak in just under an hour, but he didn't have the PVC on his truck to fix the leak so, he had to go back to the shop for that & was gone 40 minutes. It took just under 1 hour to fix the leak including replacing a sprinkler pipe that they broke in the process & when he finished he said we owed $970. $970 for 2 hours of work!!! I questioned that & Billy said the $344 was diagnostics only & $970 was the fee so, I called the office & Austin said, "we don't have a work order for your job." That's because there was not one. He then asked, "did they use any tools?" & when he asked that the second time I replied, "2 shovels" to which he replied, "we charge for tools AND we normally charge $125 extra for same day service." The lady I first spoke with never mentioned "diagnosing rates vs repair rates or additional cost for same day service much less a charge for tools." The office manager, Sydney did give us a 10% discount because we live in Lakeway & she agreed to a lack of communication on their part that she would address. This is not our first rodeo. I am 77, my husband is 81, we've built 7 homes & remodeled 6 others & $436.50/hr is OUTRAGEOUS! I cannot recommend this company.

Exceptional O & Plumbing Service Experience…read more I highly recommend O & M Plumbing for any plumbing needs. In particular, Chris F. has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism on every project of mine. His attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship set him apart as a truly outstanding plumber. Project Background I recently purchased an older home, full of charm and distinctive bathrooms. However, I encountered a leak in the master shower that required the p-trap under the shower drain to be replaced before new tile work could be completed. My concern was that reconnecting the new p-trap to the antique cast iron drains in the foundation might cause the cast iron to crumble. Chris F.'s Approach and Solutions Chris came to the rescue, using a camera down the drain to evaluate the situation. He explained the difference between what was probable and what was possible, providing two bids: one for the probable good case and one for the possible problem case. Having used Chris before with excellent results, I trusted his methods, which are always the least intrusive and focused on effective access. In the worst-case scenario, Chris would need to cut and excavate a 2' x 2' hole in the foundation around the shower drain, then tunnel no more than five feet under the foundation from that access point to secure a solid connection to the iron drainpipe. In the best-case scenario, he would only need to excavate a 2' x 2' hole around the shower drain to replace and secure the new p-trap. He also showed me pictures of his past work for reassurance. Successful Outcome Fortunately, the best-case and probable case prevailed. While fixing the p-trap, Chris also discovered an unrelated drain leak under the foundation, which he repaired at no extra charge. I felt I received excellent value for the service provided. Professionalism and Work Quality Chris left the work site clean, as he has always done in the past. He and his co-worker collaborated well, using a small and quiet jackhammer designed specifically for plumbing foundation work. The new drain looks beautiful, and I can confidently proceed with the new tile work, knowing that the unseen part of the shower is sound and affordable. Appreciation Thanks to O & M Plumbing for introducing me to Chris F. and Mike. Both are good and considerate professionals, and I am grateful to have them working in my home.

STAT lives up to its name!…read more On Wednesday, I closed escrow on a house. I was aware that the heater didn't work and had to be repaired or replaced. The same day, I heard that a freeze was coming up on Saturday night/Sunday morning. On Thursday, I Googled what to do; I learned that, because I couldn't heat the house, it wasn't enough just to drip the faucets; I needed to shut off all the water, drain all the pipes, and drain the water heater. I'm an old lady and not handy AT ALL. I could manage to shut off the water and drain the pipes, but draining the water heater (which was in the attic) was beyond me. I did have a handyman, and I did ask him to do it, but he said HE didn't know how, and I'd need to find a professional plumber. At 8:00 a.m., I started calling plumbers. I had left messages with three, including STAT, and was about to call a fourth when Chris from STAT returned my call. He said he could probably come between 2:00 and 4:00, but even if he got delayed, he would still come that same day. I was ecstatic, but of course, there was still the tiny worry that this guy I'd never spoke to before might cancel or fail to show up. Not Chris! At 1:10, he called and said he was on his way; he arrived before 2:00. He took care of everything and answered all my questions. I hadn't even asked him what he was going to charge me, but the price turned out to be EXTREMELY reasonable for emergency plumbing services. I will always be grateful to Chris, and I whole-heartedly recommend STAT.
