*CASH ONLY - ATM available at lobby* If you are here, then it will be due to the following reasons: * You are too lazy to drive * You are stuck at the SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District) building * You work around the area (within walking distance to SCAQMD building) Blue Sky Cafe is a small cafeteria located inside of SCAQMD building. You will find a salad bar, hot food station, and deli station. Deli station includes regular sandwiches, wraps, and grilled sandwiches (e.g. grilled cheese, tuna melt, etc). Basically, this is your typical cafeteria that you'll find in any government agency buildings. Blue Sky Sub (Ham, Turkey, Avocado, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato - $5.39): I had wheat breads and both pieces of bread were really dry. Other than dry breads, it was still a really pedestrian sandwich. (2.5/5) 2-star on sandwich, but bump up to 3-star due to their comfortable / spacious cafeteria seating area and strong free Wi-Fi signal. P.S. - Breakfast is available at 7 AM. Please see the website for the weekly special menu (http://www.aqmd.gov/contact/onsite-services/cafeteria).

I love this place to eat. The view is nice and the food is decent. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Upon walking into this restaurant, you felt you were at a five star restaurant. The staff greeted you with such care. As we walked to the table, you can watch the students cooking in the kitchen. Such care as they found in the best seat in the restaurant. The waitress greeted us with smiles. She listened to every dietary need that we had, to be on point she actually listened to what we had to say. In my opinion, this is very rare in this industry. She asked if we wanted a house special cocktail. The cocktail wasn't only tasty. It also tasted so delicious. We ordered the guacamole and the homemade chips that are made in house. They brought out the complementary homemade butter and rolls. Which are both made in the morning fresh We put our order in. The food was amazing such care in the preparation. And of course, who wouldn't order dessert on their birthday. The apple crumble was over top. Came warm with two spoons. They delivered a platter with the words, happy birthday in dark chocolate. Along with homemade whipped cream and a candle. The prices were surprisingly very reasonable for what we ate. If you want to celebrate a birthday with a beautiful view great care detail and delicious food This is the place to go. Or even go to dinner at a different place this is the location. I indulged in the freshest, juiciest ground beef burger I've ever tasted. The chef's spontaneous creation of a blue cheese dressing was an absolute revelation, complementing the salad, and the burger perfectly. The gourmet-like tortilla chips, hand-made avocado dip, and hand-cut fries were equally impressive, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients--CalPoly grown from the Micro Farm that is in the backyard of the restaurant and Spadra. Brandon savored every bite of his steak frites, which were incredibly juicy and flavorful. The hand-cut fries were cooked to perfection, creating the ideal pairing with the grilled 6-ounce hanger steak. Brandon was so impressed with the quality of the food that he's already planning to bring his friends and family to The Kellogg Restaurant.

We picked hot milk tea and a hot lemonade. We got the Pork & Preserved Egg Congee with Stir-Fried Udon. The congee was quite watery this time, though they were generous with the preserved egg, which tasted great. The udon was pretty typical, but the BBQ pork slices were on the drier side. Next time, I am definitely sticking to my favorite, the Home Style Stir-Fried Silver Pin Noodles, since it is way better. We both liked the Satay Beef Instant Noodle. While it does not totally compare to what you get in Hong Kong, it is actually a really decent version compared to most HK-style cafes around here. We also got the Pineapple Bun with Butter, but the bun was dry and they barely put any butter inside. Before heading out, we ordered two of the Grilled Chicken Steak with Fried Egg & Fried Potato combos to-go ($13.95 each, which includes a butter roll and a drink). The chicken steak was nice and tender. The fried potatoes were soft and mushy rather than crispy, but to be fair, I did not eat them until I got back home. Overall, it is a convenient breakfast spot with good portions, just a bit inconsistent depending on what you order.

Very spacious inside. The outside doesn't look upgraded or appealing (more like an old Denny's or fast food retail building), but the interior is modern, organized, and very clean. Experienced operations. Menu had lots of good selections, so it may take a longer time to review your options. There were two large parking lots on each side of the old single story building. Plenty of spaces available. We had the regular cart noodle soup/3-items of choice (wonton, BBQ pork, curry fishball), and a $15.95 sizzling beef udon with black peppered sauce which comes with a good homemade daily soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. Generous portions. The wontons were especially fresh handmade good tasting. We were able to taste the caramelized onions in it too. Tasty and very good. Legit and authentic Hong Kong comfort foods. I added the grass jelly iced beverage and it wasn't overly sweet. Nice. They have good quality foods at this restaurant chain. No doubt. Although it did take a much longer time for my cart noodle soup to arrive, we were very satisfied with our first impression. It's definitely a convenient spot to revisit. Lots of potential. Staffs are experienced workers and hardworking individuals. This is worth revisiting in future.

My usual default is just to go to BCD Tofu House, but this location has never made me wait and the parking situation is far less stressful, so making it out to Diamond Bar is worth it. Restaurant ambiance is very chill, casual and relaxed, at least at the off time that I went that was a bit too late for lunch but much too early for dinner. I dined here with a friend to catch up and it was a nice place to go ahead and do so. Staff spoke limited English, but were very efficient and attentive, so that was nice. I got their dumpling tofu soup at spicy level and that had a decent strong, lasting kick to it, but was still edible. Went deliciously well with their fluffy purple rice. Scoop of rice, right into the soup and enjoy! Good amount of larger dumplings in the soup and there was extra skin on some of them too, which made it a yummy additional carb in the soup. Generous amount of soft tofu too. Soup was flavorful and savory, but as a BCD bias, it was lacking a very slight oomph in depth and flavor that my bias has.
