Been to BST numerous times in Lubbock and Amarillo this was the worst experience i have ever had at one. Ordered a BST cheesesteak, green chile cheeseburger and a 1/2tots and 1/2 rings and one drink for 30 bucks. Waited quite while for our food as people after us were actually getting served then our number came up. Got to the table and the the cheesesteak is on a hamburger bun with tasteless minimal meat and a small container of the peppers and onions. Wifes burger was not seasoned at all was really bland, and to top it off our tots and rings were cold. Best part of the meal sadly to say was the soda. We frequently visit Blu Sky Texas and have found it to be consistently good. Yesterday on our way home we stopped in at Blue Sky Texas on Fourth Street. My chicken-fried steak was excellent! If you haven't been here you better skedaddle on over because your life is about to change. I recommend any burger on the menu. Onion rings are famous and their buns are toasty. They have a sandpit outside for you to play with your kids in. So what are you doing sitting on your bum and not going to blue sky covid is over. Not great. Burger was wilted, soggy and made wrong. They couldn't be bothered to put the jalepenos on, just gave me a cup. No salt/pepper packets. Fries were just old little pieces, a mixture of overcooked and undercooked. Not crispy or fresh at all.not impressed. read more

Service was quick, used the pick up window on the side. But I was very disappointed. I had tried food from here in the past and it lived up to the good reviews but last night my food was terrible and not worth the $30 for a one person meal. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, small onion rings and half order or chz fries and it was $29.75. Buns over Texas is barely 21 for more stuff. The fries were old the onion rings were limp and cold didn't hold an O shape more looked like shoe-string fried onions. Burger was great but felt very cheated. read more

Came here as a backup because the place we originally wanted to go to had a one hour wait! We were taken by surprise that this was a cafeteria style ordering and the wait was minimal! I loved this place best for burgers in Lubbock. I used to work for Craig when he has Texas taco Company before COVID closed it for good. I can tell you these restaurants are some of the cleanest in food service I have ever seen. All produce, sauces, all food is very well kept and clean. Attention vegetarians, pescatarians, and vegans, Blue Sky Texas isn't for us - they cater to meat eaters. and Oh, I wanted to enjoy this place, but I can't if there's nothing on the menu worth ordering for a meal that is vegetarian-friendly. No veggie burgers at all - no black bean burger, no quinoa burger, nothing. Even the salads have some type of meat on them. However, since I did come with a group of friends, I ordered a potato fries, sweet potato fries, and a milkshake. The fries were cooked in old grease - so they were disgusting! Blue sky is your normal burger joint. The burgers are good but not amazing and the service is prompt even if it is mistake prone. Stopped here for lunch and ordered a regular burger, a chilli cheese burger cheese fries and a cheese steak. The chillies cheese burger came without the chilli which we had to go and pick up ourselves. The chilli while falvorful was lacking in heat and spice. I'm sure it would be ok for majority of the people I prefer mine a bit on the spicier side. So that is not a a negative. The fries were fresh cut and tastes fresh. Although I found the quantity to be slightly lacking for the price. The cheese steak at Blue sky comes on a hamburger buns which is a novel idea but messy which is totally fine. It was flavorful and a solid sandwich. The cheese fries were the truly star here. Loaded and I mean loaded with cheese and topped with seasoned salt they were truly a hit with the whole table. I've only had the burgers, fries and tots, all yummy and freshly made. The restaurant itself is nice, very spacious with plenty of seating, tv's to watch and staff was friendly. Only complaint are the prices, there were 5 in my party and the bill was over $60 for burgers, fries, tots and drinks. I know it's not "fast food" but that's pretty steep in my opinion. I made a Yelp! account just to do this review. Went to the Blue Sky on 4th Street after hearing such good things about it. Went in, gave our order, went and sat down. And we waited. And waited. And waited. 20 minutes later I take the receipt to the front. Or food was sitting there, ready, and cold. I said that I didn't hear them call out number, to which the girl informs me that there are signs "around the store" that show the number when the order is ready. We were not informed of this, but whatever. I take the food back to the table, we look around, and we did not see any signs that were "around the store" showing any numbers in the room we were in. The fries and onion rings were greasy and cold. They might have been good while hot, be we will never know. My burger was under cooked when I specifically asked for it to be well done. Sent it back and it came back slightly less under cooked. I didn't eat it. I don't expect much for restaurants, but we will definately won't be going back. I was completely underwhelmed at best and disappointed at worst seeing as I wanted to like this place. There are plenty of burger joints with good prices, food, and service. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I cannot understand all the positive reviews for this place. But if you do decide to try it. Be sure to keep an eye for the signs "all over the store" for your order's number. read more

Solid burgers at Blue Sky. Ordered a cheeseburger with tots and a watermelon margarita from the bar. The burger was a good size and I was able to substitute pepper jack cheese for American. The tots were perfectly crisp and the portion was just right for one. The margarita was frozen and way too sweet and syrupy in my opinion. Hardly tasted alcohol.
