We came here for my birthday dinner with a few friends and had a great time as usual. We had the price fixe menu. SO much to choose from. Started with margaritas, mojitos & sangria. Focaccia bread with cheese and sauce was delicious. Apps we chose burrata & baked clams . Star appetizer that stole the show was the grilled octopus. It was as soft as butter & the sauce was outstanding. Main dish was seared tuna with mussels which was awesome. Finished off with cheesecake. Kristen was our server and she's ALWAYS great. Been here before but tonight was an amazing experience. Took my wife here for our wedding anniversary and we're blow away by the staff and the recent changes to the out door space. The food was outrageous in a great way. At the end we were asking each other why we don't come back more frequently. Special shout out to Jeff. I ordered the lamb cavatelli, and it was either undercooked or overcooked - seriously, there was no even cook on it at all. I had to salt my own dish also so it tasted like something. The waiter was strangely hasty and barely checked in. I had to ask for water every single time I needed it. I ended up getting horrible food poising. Fantastic first outdoor dining experience for me! My group of 4 people sat towards the inner section by the water. The servers provided excellent customer service. For appetizer, we got thai calamari to share. We got a seafood pot to share, along with chicken and pasta dish with lemon sauce, and seafood risotto. The standouts were the calamari and seafood risotto. The calamari was delicious, filled with flavor with a tangy taste. However, I felt that the seafood pot was lacking in flavor, but it could just be because it is steamed. Portions were huge though and we ended up taking a good amount to-go! It was a birthday dinner and I was so happy I came here. For the views and vibes, it was so worth it! I ended up taking pictures with my friends near the water during sunset. Came for a date a few months ago. Nice, calming atmosphere with a great view so it was perfect for a date. I got the seafood pot but unfortunately was not a huge fan, though it was not terrible by any means. My date had salmon which I tried and absolutely loved so ended up getting one for myself since I didn't eat much of the noodles. I also got to try oysters for the first time and enjoyed them very much. Service was immaculate. Great experience overall. read more

They are a little pricey for what they offer but the food is more gourmet. The staff is friendly and we only waited to get seated less than 5 minutes. I have nothing but amazing things to say. We were a group of twenty who were there to have a surprise birthday celebration for my sister. We were seated at a nice table overlooking the water. Jeff, the general manager, helped me with the logistics including recommending some favorite appetizers to order for the table. Our server, Greg, was outstanding. Service was decent, but we were seated in a small two person table with four chairs, leading to a tight dining space. Includes only the unflavored, generic mojito, margarita (salted rim optional), sangria, and white or red wines. Quite a cheap selection if you don't like wine, not even flavored drinks included in the price. Can't taste much alcohol in the margarita and mojito. Very watered down and low quality. Mint wasn't even muddled. Wines taste normal, probably because it can't be watered down, but better off with a bottle of it from a store. @ $49.95 Pre Fixe menu - 3/4 of everything we ordered was terrible. The other 1/4 were good, great even. Be ready for varying degrees of satisfaction across the table. Seems like most items shouldn't even be offered for how badly they are done here. For the price, the quality is abysmal. This place is located on Richmond terrace. It is the only commercial space that looks really good on Richmond terrace so it's literally a hidden gem. The drinks and food here are amazing. I had their Salad and Penne alla vodka. The waitresses came to our table to refill our waters and drinks. I highly Recommend to visit this spot. They have been here for so long. read more

The food was very good. My family hosted a reunion of sorts at this establishment. (I found my 90 year old Italian father via. Ancestry.com) My newfound uncle ordered bottles of wine for the table and antipasti plates that were not on the menus. The server took it with stride and delivered what was asked. I personally loved the grilled octopus and the lamb chops. Most of my family ordered the branzino. I am not sure their reactions (they are the true critics) I did not hear any complaints. I personally ordered the filet. While It did not come out rare the cut of the meat was super tender so I did not need to send back although the sever quickly noticed and offered. The chicken parm was one of the best that my husband said he has ever had. All and all the experience was wonderful and I can't wait to come back again and live out the glorious day read more

This is a very nice upscale restaurant. The waiters are pleasant and knowledgeable and willing to work with you on special orders. The food and service is excellent, but you really should come for the view alone. It overlooks the water at almost water level. Blue is an excellent Staten Island spot. You come for the food, drinks and what the locals refer to as a good view! No, it's not your typical good view but close your eyes and pretend that oil tanker is a yacht. The drinks. What seems like a good deal-unlimited drinks-is well, you get what you pay for. Drinks are pretty awful and slow to be served. Lychee martini-I swear it was an off night because the picture shows just how terrible it was. I switched to a straight up gin martini and then we were in business. Go hard or go home. We did the price fix. The calamari was basic. Would I order it again? Nah. Burrata-okay, Staten Island-you always do this well. I haven't tasted many burrata I haven't enjoyed here. Stuffed lobster over risotto-very good. If you come here for one item-come for the stuffed lobster over risotto. They do it well. Parking is terrible. The lot is the size of a studio in Manhattan. The food overall was good, the service was just alright. Took my parents here to celebrate and arrived early Friday evening without a reservation. We managed to be seated inside but I would definitely call ahead of time to reserve a table. The highlights of the dinner were the fried calamari with Thai chili sauce, the lamb shank with risotto, and Caesar salad. The calamari was perfectly breaded and fried and the Thai chili sauce was a great complement. The lamb shank in tomato sauce was tender and tasty and came with a side of risotto which I thought was alright. We also got the clam bake which we found to be a bit disappointing and lacked flavor. We chose the creamy bisque option and would have liked the sauce to be a bit thicker to really coat the linguine at the bottom of the pan, instead the sauce was more soupy. I visited Blue for an engagement party and found the abundance was beautiful. The hedges under the tent, the tables, some antique chairs and items was really charming. The whole outdoor setting gave off this Mediterranean atmosphere, it didn't feel like Staten Island anymore. It's a very romantic restaurant. I do suggest wearing something warm especially later during the day. Since it's off the water it can be windy. In regards to the food, it was very good. I had Thai calamari which was included in our appetizer platter. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. To my surprise it was very good. The platter also included lamb chops, and burrata. My main course I had the steak and my family member had the salmon which she claimed was outstanding. The steak was good, however, they gave me a butter knife not a steak knife. read more

This review may be long overdue. I occasionally patronize this restaurant as it is a staple to Staten Island's dining. This restaurant is (I believe 1:3-sn: Beso is my favorite; nonetheless I love all 3) I've come here for several occasions from a bridal shower, birthday celebrations, dates, girls night out, to casual dining. The staff is always welcoming and they greet you as you enter. The restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated and they also seemed to adhere to COVID regulations of social distancing. They outdid themselves with a makeshift area for dinning that is heated and boarded. I was pleasantly surprised at the work they put into it, it's beautiful. The food is great in general. You wouldn't be disappointed when you order. I typically stick to the Grilled Octopus or Goat Cheese Wontons for appetizer; chicken lemonciello or shrimp ripieni for entree. I'm not big on dessert but the Nutella Wontons are amazing. I would recommend this restaurant and will of course be returning. read more
