Absolutely delicious! I beat the rush and got here early Saturday morning and I was very impressed! The staff was so kind and the food came out very fast. I had the ham, egg, and provolone on a plain bagel and it was amazing. The atmosphere was so homey and welcoming and I really enjoyed eating here. It was very close to the hotel I was staying at which was super convenient. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

We stopped by Blue Surf on a rainy Friday for lunch. The menu is up on blackboards over the checkout counter. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table. All of the servers were really nice and helpful with our dietary restrictions. They have gluten free bread and are knowledgeable about eliminating dairy. We had the turkey Brie sandwich (no Brie) on gluten free bread with the marinated chickpeas (no feta) as a side and the mahi mahi sandwich with salt and pepper chips on the side. Everything was delicious. Our coffee and peanut butter hot chocolate (almond milk) were incredible. The vibe is beachy casual with wooden benches and metal chairs at tables. There are also some high top tables and a few smaller tables for two. The bathrooms are gendered with a couple of stalls. The layout is fairly accessible for mobility devices.

Wonderfully made sandwiches with fresh tasting ingredients. The turkey brie, in addition to the titled ingredients included apple butter & argula on toasted multigrain bread and was fantastic. My wife had the turkey cubano and really enjoyed it. Nice ambiance and friendly staff made for a lovely meal.

We came here because they had croissant breakfast sandwiches, and they did not disappoint! Very good! The service was great and the feel of the place was relaxed. The food is the headline here

So you're dropping off a wallet-draining tuition investment at UNCW on a weekend when every hotel room and Ayer Bee an' Bee is booked solid six months in advance. You want breakfast, but the Boysenberry Brunch Cafe has 253 people in the queue. You get Donkin' every week so what's a group to do? Blue Surf could be the answer. Tucked in a nondescript strip center behind an auto dealer is where you'll find a fast serving, friendly staffed, quick service restaurant with inside-and-outside seating. You might run into a retiree's group on a Saturday but don't worry - ordering is counter service and the kitchen is fast. Staff run your orders to your table so your only task is to doctor your fresh coffee or nurse your selection from the bar. We end up returning here over and over as the fare is fresh and generous. Breakfast bowls and plates are Southern or Southwest inspired. Biscuits are large and bacon thick-sliced and properly crisp. There are lunch sandwiches from noon-on and this location also does dinner service until 9pm. Buttermilk Maple Bacon waffles came covered in chunks of caramelized goodness and were stout enough to support good doses of syrup. Eggs are cooked to order and delicious. The only area of improvement are their grits which tend to be a bit dark, overdry and peppery. If you mix an over easy fried egg in with them, they are much better. Dress is casual (no Salt Life or Vinyard Vines required). This is a great alternative to expensive and crowded brunch places, but don't tell anyone l told you - we don't want them toooo busy ;) Your wallet will thank you later.

Service was quick and friendly! Healthy options on the menu, in addition to classic favorites with a twist. Outdoor seating available. The inside has kind of a warehouse feel to it, so it echos a bit. Food was fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend the chickpeas... lemony vinaigrette with feta and cilantro. Cuba o was toasty nicely and the pork is flavorful. The Havana Bowl is DEE-LICIOUS. The grits are creamy and the was banging, per my husband

Came here during a weekend trip in January. I had the stuffed french toast. It was very sweet. Kids had waffles, which were huge so if you have little ones they can split it. The decor is cool. We sat outside. Enjoyed the beautiful weather. You order upon entering and then you pick where you want to sit. They give you a table number. Service was nice.

Simple, classic pizza and definitely easy to keep going back for another slice. The Pineapple Jerk wings were probably the most interesting thing we ordered. They had a nice sweet-and-savory jerk flavor with a little kick to them. We got ranch and blue cheese on the side, but the wings had enough flavor to stand on their own. We also tried the chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa. It was nicely toasted, loaded with chicken and melted cheese, and the sour cream and salsa went perfectly with it. The place itself has a cool, laid-back sports-bar atmosphere with TVs everywhere, so it seems like a great spot to grab some food, have a drink, and catch a game. The only bad thing was the service took a while for anyone to come to us and ask if we had been helped yet; then, about 5 or 10 minutes later, the waitress came to take our order, and she was friendly, but once we started getting our food, it was like she forgot about us again. The gentleman behind the bar came and asked us if we were okay; we stated we would like a refill on our drinks, and he took care of it.

She did a great job making sure our table had everything we needed, answered our questions, and checked in with us throughout the meal to ensure we were having a great experience. It's clear that Jackie cares about her customers and takes pride in the service she provides, which is something that can make a huge difference when dining out. The food was good, and we were very pleased with the overall experience. The menu had a great selection, the portions were satisfying, and the quality of the food made it a great value for the price. They also have affordable drinks, which makes this a great place to come with friends, relax, and enjoy a good meal without spending a fortune. Between the delicious food, reasonable prices, and the excellent service we received from Jackie, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We had a great time during our visit and will definitely be coming back again in the future.

He had a great recommendation of the Malbec (Zuccardi) wine, which we were given a huge glass of. Would go back just for that wine. Best bite of the night was truly the Rockefeller Oysters, which come with a fresh biscuit but Kyle made sure I had the saltines I really love with them. Those were *eyes roll back in your head* REALLY good, especially for the quality of the cheese. Second best was the Blue crab pasta, which used local crab, but I think average flavor overall. Great portion and loved the capers but, didn't get the depth I expected from shallot and white wine sauce. I wouldn't get the salmon gyros again, even as creative that combo sounds the salmon was overwhelmingly not fresh and there wasn't enough tzatziki to cover it up. We loved the toasted naan and fries. Kyle told us the staff loves to get the salmon gyro but with fried chicken instead, I may try that next time. Overall a fabulously efficient and positive vibe from every staff member I interacted with, could certainly come back and eat another dozen oysters.

Today was not my first time eating here, and if I'm be truthful , every time I'm in town, I make it a point to stop by. They serve the kind of traditional Mexican breakfast I grew up loving, along with so many other delicious options. The staff is always warm and welcoming, serving every guest with the biggest smiles. You'll also often see the owner walking around as well, checking on tables and making sure everything is going smoothly, which adds such a personal touch. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated with cultural charm, and filled with the incredible aroma of fresh spices cooking in the kitchen. I always begin with their Café de Olla--a slow-simmered coffee made with raw brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange peel, and coffee. It's served hot, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. Honestly, it's the only coffee I'll happily drink without creamer or added sugar. This visit, I ordered the Tamal Montado: two tamales over a bed of creamy black bean sauce, covered with red salsa, then topped with a sunny side egg, avocado, Mexican sour cream, queso fresco, and cilantro. Every bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. I finished the meal with a pan dulce, which paired perfectly with the whole experience. I skipped tortillas this time, but they also have a tortilla station where they're made fresh by hand and cooked to order--always a sign you're in the right place!! They're open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, and if you find yourself in Wilmington, this spot should absolutely be on your list
