Went on a late Saturday afternoon- Pros: Great outdoor seating with max people watching Strong happy hour even on the weekends! Strong margarita for only $8 during HH Friendly waitress Pretty presentations Cons: None of the food was very fresh or flavorful :( We went with the crispy Brussels, ceviche, lion roll, and tuna crispy roll- all of it looked beautiful but the overall taste was meh

I really like their happy hour (especially all day Sunday happy hour!). The cocktails are batched so they can keep up with demand, but that makes some of them kind of meh. I wish they'd make them on demand when they aren't busy, but that would make the batch ones sit around longer. It's a strange problem to have. Either serve drinks quickly with consistent flavor or batch prepare them and mute the flavors a bit. I like the blueberry one okay so I'd recommend that if you're looking for a good quality/good price situation. I sat at the bar and service was okay. The whole restaurant is such a dark and moody vibe (in the best way). The food we ordered came out without waiting too long which is always appreciated. I like the mushroom one and the cowboy one (both vegan). The brussels sprouts are also really yummy. Definitely worth the visit if you're able to come during happy hour to maximize your spend.

We went for a Saturday lunch and were surprised to find out it was Happy Hour. Awesome discounts on a large portion of the menu. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and they were huge! We made a reservation, but I wouldn't say it's needed. Great spot in a cute area

After being in Nashville all week eating and drink lots of fast/fried food, we wanted something fresh. We were recommended to this place by a local bartender. She did not steer us wrong. The food was delicious and the staff were extra friendly to our large party. They were very accommodating and just overall good vibes. The food was fresh and filling. I'm so glad we came.

We decided to go here after the farmer's market. I wasn't planning on writing a review, but after tasting we crab ragoon I just had to. The vibe is great, decor is great. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was loads of seating, no rush whatsoever. I had just eaten, so I didn't order a full meal. Instead, I got the house lime margarita and mango crab rangoon. I went with Taijin on the rim and can't go back - so good! Or could have been stronger, but I like em strong. The crab rangoon was the best I've ever had, no contest. So, naturally, I had to write a review. Definitely going back! Our server was also very personable and that's always a nice touch. Feeling like staff are running around and stressed kind of impedes the experience.

This place was so good we went back two days in a row! We were at a conference in Nashville and luckily my nephew who is local took us on a Sunday night! The fact that they do Happy Hour pretty much all day every day is such a bonus. All the rolls were fresh and not packed with rice, service was great also! The only complaint I have is the music is way too loud. The next day at lunch when it was pretty quiet, we had a much better experience, dined longer and spent more!

Went after an event at Bridgestone for my friend's birthday. She's vegan so they had an extensive vegan menu for her. The service was nice and it wasn't busy at all (probably due in part to the ice storm over the past week). Everyone liked their food too. Would definitely go back if I'm in the downtown area before or after an event.

1st time trying this place after seeing an ad for their Veganuary special. I was blown away to see that their regular sushi menu had a full list of vegan options!! The Cowboy with the tempura pickle was fun/unique. We ordered 4 different rolls - the vegan Philly was my fave. The plant-based smoked salmon was amazing and satisfied my cravings for a regular Philly roll (my fave before veganism). I'm so stoked to have a cool downtown restaurant as an option for when we go out with our friends. Mitch was our bartender & he was very welcoming & took great care of us. We will for sure come back! As far as ambiance, it reminded me of an upscale/less over stimulating Hawkers. The paper lanterns throughout the space looked really cool. Also! Their happy hour specials are AWESOME! I'll include a pic of some of the happy hour menu

Ok so i frequent blue sushi sake for a reason! I love when i can snag a seat at the bar, because people pack it out lol definitely get a rezzy if thats your vibe! The calamari is so so good! The charted edamame don't make nonsense! Their huge selection of drinks, bot alcoholic and non are impressive. Service is great, and food is Always on point! Great for a date of just a girls night out, the sushi is well prepared and always fresh!!

That's not the type of tuna sashimi you ever want to see at a sushi joint.

A tell tale sign of a good sushi place is how fresh their sashimi is. Well, it's not. The maguro tuna sashimi I ordered was colorless with almost white sheen to it. The service was friendly but slow.

First night in Nashville and I made a reservation here before flying out. I love Sushi and this spot was just around the corner from where I would be staying. I checked in for my reservation, and was seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and chipper. My server came over and asked if she could get me anything to drink besides water. I ordered the White Peach Daiquiri. It was really good, I enjoyed the popping peach Boba that was in the drink. Sunday they have happy Hour specials all day long - killer deal honestly. I ordered the spicy garlic edemame and a miso soup. The miso soup was brought over nearly instantaneous to me placing the order. Their Miso Soup was one of the best flavored miso soup I have ever had. Highly recommend - so good I debated a bowl to go. The spicy garlic edemame was cooked perfectly, and was delicious - the spice flavor reminded me of a spicier version of Tajin. They were delicious, they will make your nose run! I ordered the Lion King roll off the happy Hour Menu, the Iguana roll off the normal menu and asked my server if she had any recommendations - she suggested the tataki maki and that was the 3rd roll I ordered. All 3 rolls were delicious, the Lion King Roll ended up being my favorite. I enjoyed that they have the whipped wasabi, but it was the spiciest wasabi I have had in a while. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was busy, a bit loud but overall a great experience. I would definitely eat here again, maybe even again before I fly home!

Really impressed with this vibey sushi joint adjacent to the always fun assembly food hall. My wife had been telling me that Blue Sushi was being slept on as she had eaten there several times without me. I hardly ever find myself downtown around dinner time but since my wife & I were getting ready to see Marc Maron at Tpac we decided to grab dinner beforehand. Friday around 6 it was pretty quiet & even though we had reservations I don't think they would be necessary in most situations. When we left around 7:30 it was picking up but still not packed. Happy hour runs until 6 & the happy hour menu has plenty of options at 20-25% off full menu pricing on some popular options. I had a $5 Kirin draft & an order of crab mango rangoon from the happy hour menu, which for the price of $11.50 for both is hard to beat. My mains were a Godzilla roll & a tuna tataki roll. Both were high quality, not cheap sushi rice & not slapped together. Presentation & flavor both on point. Service was really good & we were approached a few minutes before happy hour was over to make sure we didn't want to get another discounted drink ordered, which I appreciated. I would highly recommend stopping here as a sit down alternative to the food hall especially during happy hour.

This place was absolutely amazing! The sushi tasted so fresh and delicious. We actually came 2 days in a row because of how good it was! We ordered off the happy hour menu which had many options and was affordable. Our server was really nice and helpful giving us recommendations. Food came out fast. It's very clean inside and very cute. I would love to come back someday and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting that area! My favorites were the crunchy blue, the crunchy red, and the tidal wave.

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

You are ushered back through a curtain into a speakeasy style omekase that seats 14. You're taken to your spot at the bar and greeted with a drink menu. Chef already in place. I grabbed an Yuzu honey bee, which is made with Maker's Mark, honey syrup, yuzu, and pink peppercorn. As they are using a non-rye bourbon (Makers is 70% corn, 16% red winter wheat, and 14% malted barley), the peppercorn adds a bite of a bite you expect with a good rye. Thumbs up. The preparation, interaction and the atmosphere are all top notch. I can't say the same for the food. I am sure the cuts were high end, but many of the items tasted old, giving it a taste that was not much better than supermarket sushi on some of the bites. The artistry was top notch, but the fish was off. I had great engagement with the chef, who is orginally from South America. Andy, who I have known for a long time from Black Dynasty, came in for the next round (we only required 1 chef, as there were only 4 people doing the experience). I give a full thumbs up on the atmosphere and experience. If the sushi had rung the same bell, this could have easily been a 5 star. I imagine this is not the normal experience one has here as I am seeing a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews of the spot. Not sure if it was a slow weekend and they did not sell enough and figured they had one more day or something else, but I was thankful I did not add on and stuck with the special only. As they are now running the $55 special Sunday through Thursday, I have a feeling they either are not hitting with the tourist crowd or others have been in the same boat. It is a shame, as the experience is excellent.

There was plenty of seating to grab a drink and hang out before being sat for dinner, and the bartender/server were very attentive. My partner and I arrived early, and we ordered a couple of cocktails from the bar. I ordered the Lost in Tokyo which was delicious, but I thought it was a little odd that it was served over ice for a drink with a coconut milk base. It watered down the cocktail too quickly. My partner got the Can't be Tamed, and it was the perfect spicy marg. Once we were sat the courses were incredible. The flavors were complimentary of each other in every bite, and there was not a single course I didn't like! The best bites were probably the fatty tuna and the surf-n-turf. The chefs were fun and chatty and kept the upbeat vibes going. I also thought the sake toast was a fun addition. This meal was paced perfectly, and I'd definitely come again when they are running another special.
