I've eaten at the hotel restaurant several times, but this past year I finally had the chance to stay in a cabin. It was a great experience! The hotel has been updated in the last few years, and everything is very clean and modern (while still maintaining that quaint rustic charm). Our cabin was spacious and was the perfect size for two. The bed was super comfortable which is always a win. My only complaint about the room was the shower which was super tiny. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous and it's so well manicured with flowers and greenery all around. They even have a koi pond! There's a nice sized pool, and the bar and restaurant with views overlooking the lake can't be beat. Prices are a little higher than some of the other lakeside hotels around, but this seems to be a newer and more updated hotel than a lot of the others. It's also of course super reasonable compared to The Sagamore. So, if you are looking for something less spendy than the Sagamore but cleaner / newer than lots of other hotels in the area then I'd say BWM is absolutely worth looking into.

3.5/5 for the food, but 4/5 overall. The crab cake sandwich/burger was good. Solid amount of crab. Moist. Good flavor. Sauce compliments things well. Chicken sandwich was dry. Needed more sauce or something else. It was a good idea to use some apples, but it felt like something was still missing. Onion rings were good. Nice crisp and a great size. Overall, enjoyed our time there, especially with the view. We'll be back when we visit the area next time!

The other day I stopped off here with a group, I got the following. Crab cake sandwich- very good, tons of crab, the remoulade added good flavor without being overpowering. The crab was definitely the star of the show.

What a beautiful place to sit and have lunch or dinner on Lake George! The staff is very friendly and the food was great! Ordered some sangrias, which were very refreshing while sitting by the water. The bruschetta appetizer was crispy and fresh with the perfect amount of balsamic glaze. For lunch, I had the crab cake sandwich and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! Perfect weekend getaway during the summer months in New York.

Used to really like food here, prices are up and quality is down. Won't go back and used to eat there often. Too bad.

Went to stay here on our honeymoon for an elevated stay experience. I stay at Marriot properties…read moreover 20 times per year, and had high hopes. Unfortunately, what I got was not an elevated experience. We chose this hotel because it was newer, had amenities, and seemed elevated. At check in, we were told we are required to pay $30/day for an amenity fee. Okay got it, this place maybe has some elevated amenities. The key amenity we were looking forward to enjoying was the sauna. After changing and going down to the sauna the next day, we learned it was out of order, and was not going to be working for the rest of our stay. We spoke to the front desk to see what the hotel could do (cover the cost of using an off-site sauna, offer a partial refund, etc), but the front desk said all they could do was take a note for the manager. After not hearing from the manager the next day, we went back to the front desk to a different worker, and got the same response. "We can't do anything, all we can do is let the manager know". Days have gone by and I still have not heard from the manager, despite follow ups. The whole stay wasn't bad, but we were paying $110 per night over an equivalent Marriot property for amenities that were out of order, and in one case "out of stock".

Been here I believe four times now. It's a hit every time!!…read more First time I went was on an invitation, as I wasn't expecting much from a brewery. I'm not too crazy about beer, and what I'd seen from the menu seemed like mostly burgers which I also find boring. Was very happy and surprised on my first visit to find they have creative and delicious cocktails, which are more up my alley when it comes to drinks. Also this first time, I got the truffle pizza, which was *phenomenal*!! Since then, have been back 3 more times, once for a drink and to try the cucumber salad, which also sounded incredible, to also compare to a similar one I make at home. Loved it!!! Then the next two times, went with my best friend. Both times he got a different burger, while I spent most of my split tab enjoying a couple drinks. When we're not trying to spend too much, this place has generous sides of fries which are also *incredible* and cheap, so you can fill up on those while enjoying the specialty drinks So I'd say it's really nice for all sorts of tastes, and has a budget friendly food workaround too if you're more there for drinks first, as I outlined above. Highly recommend, and can't wait to be back again soon!!!!

Cocktail and beer selections are great. Five stars to the blood orange margarita. The bad: You can't make a reservation and the waitlist is frustrating sometimes. Parking is challenging. Also, atmosphere is typically loud making it hard to have a conversation. Overall, we like it for a quick bite and will definitely go back.

Nestled in the grounds of the lovely retreat, Gather offers a small but well refined menu. Located outdoors, lawn-side candlelit tables ring 2 fire pits. The atmosphere is classy and casual with friendly hosts and severs who take time to answer menu questions and be sure you have what you would like. With a full bar, vast wine and beer list featuring local selections, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverage options, there is something for everyone. Our meal began with a flavor packed broth soup, featuring lemon, parsley, chicken and rice. The hearty portion was perfect for 3 to share. Next came the salads: baby greens with pickled onions and homemade vinaigrette, and rubbed kale with cranberries and nuts. Delicious! The swordfish main is crafted with an amazing balance of sweet blueberry sauce and a touch of cayenne to make the flavors pop. The chicken dish featured a tasty glaze and features grilled lemon, a surprise twist. Both mains were served with a veggie side and atop smashed potatoes- creamy and flavorful, and with lots of texture. Dinner was capped by the featured dessert, blueberry lemon panna cotta. So smooth, creamy, and heavenly! Just the right amount of citrusy syrup to complement the richness. Gather features fresh and local ingredients. This family owned and run restaurant is one of many endeavors Lisa and Jonathan Burr have successfully fully created. You will not be disappointed with your Gather dining experience!

This hotel is fabulous!…read more First and foremost - it could not be better for small children. The lake area is in a shallow cove and my kids were literally able to run out for a few minutes and still be up to their knees. There are plenty of kayaks and paddle boats to take out, and a small sandy beach area for the kids to play. There's also a pool on the property, but the lake area was great so we never even went. Rooms are a little older, but they are clean and spacious. The property is pretty small, so everything is an easy walk. There's also plenty of parking onsite. The location is also prime in Bolton and it's just a two minute drive up to all the shops and restaurants. The owners were super sweet and friendly and helped us out a few times when we were locked out of our room. Overall, this is a really nice family run hotel in Bolton and the location on the lake can't be beat. There are definitely cosmetic upgrades that could be made, but like many other hotels in the area it's a little old school. Looking forward to coming back - we had a great time here.
