Unfortunately, I ordered a Caprese salad with a steak. They overcook the steak and it was grizzly. The mozzarella used for the Caprese salad was not buffalo mozzarella as it was regular mozzarella, which made it hard and flavorless I sent back the steak, but the new steak was even more grizzly. This place is the classic little hole in the wall joint that makes you want to try everything they serve! I had the Carnitas street tacos with black beans and rice, and they were delicious! My review is solely based on the takeaway breakfast burrito. It is delicious with the perfect egg, chorizo, cheese ratio. I also appreciate the size--it's not so big you either throw half away or over eat. The hot salsa is flavorful and not overly hot. I do suggest getting extra for dipping, but the amount they use when they build the burrito is probably sufficient for most; I just happen to be a salsa fiend. The breakfast burrito is a great value for both its size and deliciousness. Also the counter / plancha lady that fed me for the days I ate there was very nice and fast. So fast, don't order ahead just get it hot and fresh. My only regret is I was in to my second week of a two week stay in Seattle before I discovered the breakfast burrito. read more

This place makes fast and fresh burritos and tacos with pretty good service. I got a vegetarian chorizo burrito and it was huge, and it was the best soy chorizo I think I have ever had. Also, you get to customize the ingredients as you go. The chipotle salsa was tasty and smoky with a good amount of spice. Even though there was a line, it moved really quickly. Sometimes there might be a bit of a wait if your ingredients require cooking but on the whole we got our order in under 7 minutes. Make sure you bus your own table when you are done. Service was good; and it was really affordable. Two burritos and a drink for under $10 a person. And the burrito was so big I couldn't even finish it. Plus there are so many flavors of jarritos! The woman who works behind the counter, who takes my order every time, acts like she has never seen me before. No effort whatsoever on her part to be friendly. Tasty tacos. Decent price. ... Just.... eat them THERE. Don't get take out. Their takeout containers are round flat aluminum pans with crimp-on lids. They're not partitioned clamshell containers. This means that unless you tell them NO BEANS (which you'll still be paying for), your tasty tacos or burritos will be soaking in bean juice for the ride back, and will promptly dissolve when you attempt to pick them up. Our family came in after checking into our hotel (which happened to be about a block away) for a late lunch at around 2pm. The place was strikingly small, but had a cozy atmosphere to it. Most everything was made in an assembly-line fashion, where your food was made to order right in front of you. The guy manning the front had a thick Spanish accent, which was hard for the ESL members of our group to understand, but was a friendly person as a whole. The young woman making the orders, on the other hand, was a totally different case. She clearly did not want to be there, and she spoke in the most monotone and dull voice one could possibly summon. She asked me which flavor of salsa I would like, and when I stuttered in my response, she rolled her eyes. Not the first time she did that, and not certainly not the last. When my mother agreed to jalapenos in her burrito bowl, the woman legit sighed and dumped a humongous spoonful into my mom's order. The food was standard Mexican fare. My brother and I split the chicken and cheese enchiladas, which we ordered with a side of black beans and Mexican rice. It cost $7.75, and I find that to be a good deal, as it satisfied both me and my unnaturally voracious younger sibling (who admittedly did eat a burger on the plane ride to Seattle, but even so). The enchiladas were not as warm as I would have liked, but they were alright, although rather soupy. As you leave, you put your dirty dishes into a bin next to the door, which is something I've never experienced in my young life (the dishes were all reusable), but interesting.
