Omg. Somehow my son ended up with 2 different breakfast items even though he said he didn't want one of them. The waitress kept arguing with us & we had to pay for both. I had the fried shrimp. The food is over priced and not that good. I ordered a steak medium and it came out rare. I sent it back and the chef simply overcooked the same steak and put it on the same plate with the other food instead of redoing the entire plate which I thought was standard in the restaurant business, guess only for some places, they certainly charged me full price. It is located right on Hollywood Beach boardwalk which is generally pretty poor when it comes to restaurants. This place actually has a pretty decent menu at pretty decent prices right there looking out at the beach. We had an amazing experience here! We started with the chicken and beef empanadas which were very well seasoned & a pretty good size. I got the skirt steak and my friend got the NY strip which were both cooked perfectly. Sooo good! Cool decor and a beautiful view of the ocean. Perfect spot for people-watching. Blue wave is your typical beach side cafe. The view is fantastic, and the empanadas are nice golden fried. Like most beach side cafes, the cocktails were pretty watered down and the beef was okay (not super fresh) and seemed a little overpriced. The grilled sausages were better though. The hostess was nice and welcoming and I liked the decor on the wall . However, on the downside, the tables were too close for comfort. I wish they reduced the number of tables. We had a sample platter of their grill items and, again, it was all just "good". The service, however, was incredibly slow. View of the beach, can't beat that. They have a good deal combo with Malbec and steak. Food was okay, tasty but not your typical delicious argentinian resto. Steak was a little on the tougher side. Malbec was average. My DH ordered a steak platter, he liked the flavor but the quality of meat was meh-- a little tough. The girl working was pleasant. We have been going to Hollywood beach for the past 15 Year's and our favorite thing to do at night is to discover new places at the board walk. We ended up finding this Argentinean restaurant. Menu looked great, but the only issue was the server could not properly explain the it us. We ended up ordering the wrong items. Finally, we ordered the beef empanadas (delicious) and a meet platter, which it was supposed to be served on top of a warm mini grill, but it was not, hence the meat got cold quickly. The bar seemed fun as most of the clients were having only drinks and apps. Overall food was ok and service did not meet our expectations. read more

We are vacationing and staying a few miles away at the diplomat. I am so happy we stopped here. The service was A+, the view incredible and last but not least the food was authentic and delicious. I order the streamed clams and could've eaten 2 orders easily. After we indulged in the special 2+ person platter and it was amazing. Very disappointing. Stopped in December 26, 2016 for lunch. Five people. The place had maybe 10 diners It took us an hour and a half to get out of there, 15 minutes of it was eating. The place was not busy at all I completely do not understand the delay. The food is simple and easy, I could've prepared it in my kitchen literally in 10 minutes. Half the menu had rice, they were out of rice. The last straw was that they added a gratuity automatically. I usually only use yelp.com for the reviews and comments about the restaurants and places we want to go. I've never posted a review before but this time I find it a duty or necessity to save someone else from ordering the same plate. We ordered a Parrillada Argentina for two, we asked for the meat to be cooked medium but we got a very well done meat and several pieces burnt. The meat seem to have been previously cooked and just thrown in the grill when we ordered it, there was only what they called "mollejas" that seem to have been cooked at that moment. The meat was of low grade quality and not cleaned properly because there was excessive skin left and made if very chewy. We order Argentinian Parrilladas very often in other restaurant and we know it is supposed to have parts of the fat left but this was more than the normal. Simply there weren't good cuts of meats. Once we tried the first meat we should had sent it all back, but because this is a very small restaurant and everyone around you can hear your complaints we did not want to make a scene, we just ate our salad and French fries and picked from the better parts of the meat we could find and did not say anything until the end when the waitress came and asked if we wanted a box to take the meat, we had left over half of the portion served. My husband said no, you need to tell your chef that the meat was horrible and overcooked; she said ok and came back with the check. Not even an apology or an expression of excuse from anyone. I get it, the majority of the people that will eat at this restaurant in the Boardwalk are tourist, the restaurant will never have to deal with them again but we are locals and will never be back and will not recommend this place to anyone else. read more

Decided to stop for lunch with the family. The service started good but quickly turned sour. Everyone's food came on time but my wife's salad was brought after everyone had eaten already. The server never gave an explanation. After that the server kept passing us by and looking straight ahead as if we were not there. Finally the other server decided to help us. Everything was wonderful and delicious, starting with a few mojitos that were excellent. The empanadas were superb and the queso with sausage was unreal. Our main course was the 12 oz. skirt steak with plantains, rice and beans, topped off with the best chimi churri sauce I have ever had. We still had enough room for dessert, and our awesome server Juan recommended the dulce de leche crepe, and it was decadent, a perfect end to our meal.
