I was excited to try a new breakfast place this week and noticed Blueberry Hill on DoorDash - we've been missing out! The Cap'n Crunch French toast is extremely tasty. The strawberries and banana with it cut through the sweetness, balancing it out a bit. Pretty refreshing the dish considered! The Colorado omelette is also very good. We'll definitely order here again. Wish they did the delivery apps on the weekend, but totally get wanting to keep the in-house crowd in mind. read more

The food was average or below. The service was below average. I had to ask multiple times for coffee refills. I also had to ask to bring missing items from my order. The restaurant was not crowded, and our server would disappear for long periods of time. There are many other better choices in Oakbrook. read more

Blueberry Hill is one of my most fav breakfast place to come eat. I know that we all have our bad days. Well this morning is one of BBH's bad day. I'm very dissapointed with my food. I have always ordered the same thing everytime I came here to eat. I never ever had an issue. I ordered the skirt steak eggs hash browns and pancakes. I did noticed that the food came out a little earlier than normal. My pancakes were cold my hash browns were crispy burnt and my skirt steak was not done. I called a manager over and showed him my uncooked food. He took away the food and rushed ofd to get it recooked. Ok fine. The waiteress brings back my food and again my skirt steK is not done. I just decided to get bacon like I started to from the beginning of my order. I just asked for a container so I could leave. I get my bill and noticed that I was being billed for the whole order. Hold Up. I asked for the skirt steak to be removed off my bill. I'm not sure if BBH can hold up to one of my top breakfast places to eat. I'm very disappointed read more

I've been to 2 of the locations and have not ever been disappointed. It's always crowded. But today is the first time I've gone to a Blueberry Hill during the week. It wasn't crowded as they were closing within the hour. The waitress never made us feel rushed or had to hurry up. We placed our order and just waited. The food came out hot and no short cuts. I had an opened faced Reuben. My sister had a turkey club and my niece had the dollar waffles with bacon. The food was good. However, one of the quarters of my sister's club sandwich looked "smaller" than the other 3. I know it sounds funny and looking at a pic you can't see the difference. We tried to figure out if it's possible. We were baffled. But we did mention to the waitress and she couldn't see it either how it's possible. But my sister did say she didn't get any avocado. The waitress did say she would bring her some. We thought it would only be a couple slices but it wasn't. It was half an avocado. No that is awesome. Most places would just bring over a couple slices. This place is great in my book. The food is good, service is great and the atmosphere is refreshing. read more

My son and I grabbed a pre soccer game breakfast here and it was a nice treat! Service was fast and friendly. I had the bacon, spinach, and cheddar omelette with a side of pumpkin pancakes and it tasted fresh and came out warm! I was happy to not see my large omelette swimming in grease but it was packed with flavor. My son had the kids' mini waffle and bacon and he gobbled it up. When I think of a breakfast cafe, I think, coffee and the option of a few key foods including but not limited to every imaginable option for breakfast, at least. This however was a late lunch visit, and I wasn't craving anything specific. Oh, I know what this is. This menu was well put together said menu was assorted, many items appeared on the menu and I had a plentiful amount to choose from. Both breakfast and lunch items sounded good but I opted for lunch. A blt with chicken dumpling soup and a coffee was my choice. The service was fine, the server was friendly and thankfully kept my coffee cup filled as it had been a long day and wasn't about over, although, is it ever over? We had a group of seven and the server was attentive as the food was hot and out shortly after ordering. My boyfriend and I thought this place was great! We were seated right away on a Sunday. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious and my veggie omelette was full of vegetables that were crisp and fresh. I was in the area for work, and had to eat breakfast early in the morning. Searched on Yelp for breakfast spots and this cafe showed up so I decided to give it a try. I like that they greet your table with coffee as the first thing. My waitress was an older lady super kind and attentive. I ordered their veggie scrambled eggs with hash browns. It took time for it to arrive but it tasted fine. Nothing special but tasted as you would expect eggs and hash browns to taste. I do have to say that the cost was overly priced for breakfast food. We were immediately seated and our waitress Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. We could not ask for a better server. The coffee was smooth and delicious. My wife ate À la cart, so we're able to sample the biscuits and gravy and the fresh fruit yogurt parfait and I had a Colorado omelette. I waited for almost an hour inside the restaurant, when I was told when I was putting my name on the list it would be a 15 min wait. I understand they were busy, but they have a bad system for checking in and seating people at a table. I then went to check the status of our table (table of 2) after 30-40min after we got there, they said I was 3rd in line. After I noticed more than two parties getting seated I went to ask again (15 min later) and they said they had called me 30 minutes ago it was because they didn't take down my phone number. How was I called 30 min ago, when I came to check my status 15 min ago? 1. I chose to wait inside because I was told a 15 min wait 2. I saw no effort from the staff that they were calling for my name, I even moved close to the desk to make sure I could hear them and I even walked to the desk TWICE to check my status, yet they claim they been calling me. 3. Good afternoon Foodzies, this morning on the recommendation of another co-worker we traveled out to Oak brook to BlueberryHill cafe at 3041 Butterfield rd in Oak brook. This restaurant is tucked away in a mall. Not to hard to find but worth the search. The restaurant is a close seated restaurant. A little loud and busy. Our server Yasline was very pleasant and helpful. The us served in large portions. Glenda had the Breakfast Quesadilla, filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, onions, jalapeños and Jack cheese. Great combination of ingredients, it was seasoned perfectly, and the avocado made for a creamy texture. I went with the Philly steak skillet. Filled with tasty steak, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Topped with mozzarella and 4 sunny side up eggs. A large meal needed a little more seasoning and I would have preferred provolone cheese though. The skillet came with pancakes I opted for the pumpkin spice pancakes. Came to this place since I saw it had better than average reviews and it was near where I was. The location is good since they do have free parking right by the restaurant so not a lot of walking. As we walked in the man in front right away guided us to a near by bench so we could seat. It was around 10 in the morning on thursday so not a lot of people. While looking at the menu a guy offered us coffee and told us our server would be with us shortly. Got the coffee and our server, I did not get her name but she was nice and came around a few times. We got our food and it was good. The coffee was also good as well. There is plenty of dishes to choose from and you can combine or make your own dish. The place was quiet and enjoyable. It has always been a good experience here - pleasant servers and good service. Today was very different. Brittany was the server. She brought drinks promptly. Soup comes with sandwich orders, always brought in advance of the main entree. When Brittany brought the sandwich (the fries were cold), she said she would now bring soup. I mentioned that the soup is normally brought out first, and she got a nasty attitude. She did not come back for drink refills unless you called out to her as she was walking by at a distance. She was not prompt. Customers had to get up from their tables to get ketchup from other tables. We saw her go up to a table in a nearby section 4 different times. We did not get the same service. She was then removing condiments from tables and not paying attention to her customers. The restaurant was not at all crowded. Brittany does not seem to comprehend the order in which things need to be done; other servers there are excellent. It is also unprofessional of her to have a nasty attitude toward customers. Some have been going there for years. Maybe she needs to get some training with some of the more experienced and very good servers. read more

The food was amazing and portions were large. They have everything from great omelets to baked French toast. The menu was very diverse and had healthy options also. I had the most disgusting excuse for a steak ever. I ordered the New York steak and eggs. What I receive in my plate can certainly not be classified as steak. It was paper thin, hard as a hockey puck, and tougher than beef jerky. I had ordered it medium rare; needless to say they overshot it just a little. I asked to have it remade, this time just to make it rare since they obviously can't get their temperatures right. The second steak was exactly like the first. Absolutely no pink, way too thin, and way too tough. The salt and potatoes were so flavorless and bland. I had to put salt, pepper, and hot sauce on them just to taste any flavor at all. The only reason I'm giving a star is because the waitress was super nice, and accommodating with my requests to have the steak redone. Ultimately it was removed from my bill which was much appreciated, and also why this place merits at least one star. But seriously. That chewed up jerky was NOT steak. I question the skills of the cook if they can't even get steak or seasonings right. I will never return to this place. read more

I would say that because of the crowd the service was poor and the noise is just overwhelming. I can't even talk on my normal voice i have to sit next to the person im talking with because we barely hear each other. I got a phone call to leave before I could order. All I had was one small sip of the coffee but the guy at front still charged me $3. It's the little things sometimes...btw the coffee was burnt and unpleasant. This place was not as nice inside as I expected from viewing the outside. Sticky menus. Booth was wet. I agree with the people who say the menu is disorganized and overwhelming. A lot of variety but nothing that jumped out at me, except a bunch of extra charges for certain requests. While I've been to other Blueberry Hill locations many times, this was just my second visit here. On a weekday at 10:30am they were super busy and there was a wait for tables. The place is spotless. From the front door glass to the floors and restroom. I'm very comfortable assuming the kitchen standards match. The full order of raspberry French toast was six halves. The raspberry compote was canned but not super sweet like pie filling. I can't rave more about the Irish Skillet. Fresh sliced corned beef goes in to the hash made daily in this kitchen. What isn't really needed are the hash browns under it all as the corned beef has was a good serving and had plenty of potatoes already. They serve Pepsi soft drinks and I do like a place that carries Mountain Dew. read more

When we were taken to our seats, I didn't like the table or area we were put at just because I felt it was a little cramped. I immediately told the hostess and we waited maybe a minute for a better table. Our waitress was super nice and upbeat. She asked if we were comfortable and recommended a few drinks that she personally preferred. I tried the juice which was carrot, celery and apple. It was delicious! I have to say, with the way the house was packed I was prepared to wait for our order to take a while before coming out. This place was prepared to deliver! Very friendly waitress bumped this up from an average to a good lunch experience. I met up with a colleague for lunch at 1:00 today and I purposely picked this place over Portillos since I wanted to be able to have a conversation and Portillos can get loud. The restaurant was only about 25% full when we arrived so I thought, great! But unfortunately the 8-year old sitting at the next table had a TV program or something blaring from the iPhone he was watching. I looked over in annoyance a few times to encourage the mom to turn down the volume but no luck. I could have spoken to the waitress or asked to be moved, and I wish I did, but I thought "how much longer are they going to be there?" Unfortunately they were there nearly our whole meal. I don't expect a pancake house to be fine dining, but it would have been nice if the waitress asked the family to turn down the noise or where earbuds. The food was good. I got the vegetarian burger, hold the pesto (allergy) and a side of fresh fruit. The meal came with a soup, but two of the three options were meat-based and the third was tomato, and I hate tomato soup, so I skipped that. $21 plus tip for my burger meal and my colleague's eggs Benedict. This is my second time eating at this restaurant, both times takeout. I called in my order, when I got there my order was ready 2 mins after I walked in which was great. Got to work which is 4 mins away in the same strip as the restaurant, grits were cold, tasteless, and a big piece of cheese on top in a coffee cup, half cooked bacon wrapped in foil, and slightly burnt toast.
