Came in due to buying a Groupon. It was a Busy Sunday morning, so packed as expected, but we were seated in like 3 mins at a booth. We were greeted instantly & the server was nice. She was a bit hurried at 1st, but slowed down once she realized we weren't in a rush. I ordered a half order of sausage/gravy & biscuits, an order of ham off of the bone, & an order of cinnamon apple pancakes. Everything was good, but my sausage/gravy & biscuits were cold. I HATE COLD FOOD. They warmed them up, but they still weren't hot. So they lost a star for that. The place was nice. I gave Blueberry Hill one star for one simple reason. This is the perfect spot to come if you are on a budget. Unfortunately, the reasons I did not enjoy my breakfast experience far outweigh the price. 1. Our server did not even slightly make us feel welcomed. When we were ready to order, her exact words were: "what do you want?" She brought us our food, never checked to see how it was, never offered a refill on coffee, and didn't even feel the need to bring us our check. However, she did have time to converse with staff and use her cell phone. 2. The food was not fresh. The avocado in my omelette had a texture that I cannot describe in any other word other than nasty. I pulled out pieces of tomato that were literally rotten. 3. My buttermilk pancakes had a red gel of sorts spread across the top. This was nicely "hidden" on the bottom of the pancake. However, as a pancake lover I know the best way to butter pancakes is on the side facing the plate because it is warmer- therefore it will melt the butter. I attempted to brush it off and was able to do so with 90% success... (Check out my pictures). 4. After picking at my food for about 7 minutes, the bill was dropped off at my table. The server did not say anything. She just plopped it down between some plates and kept moving. She had no idea that we were planning on ordering something new since my food was quite a failure. I will not be back, nor will anyone that I was dining with. I am shocked to have received such underwhelming food and poor service in such an affluent area. Definitely not what I expected. read more

Ive been to their LaGrange locations a few times, has a lil country, home feel to it but this one on the other hand is lights out. It sits in a brand new strip mall only a couple yrs old, next to Kona Grill. Very modern fixtures & tables but kinda like an updated IHOP, with better design. Tried the Lenten special, croissant breakfast & the Captain Crunch French toast. The croissant sandwich was buttery & tasty and had scrambled eggs, avocado, red & green peppers, and provolone cheese. The French Toast stole the show! It had Captain Crunch cereal crumbs on them with fresh bananas & chopped strawberries(see my pics). First time at this restaurant. Originally wanted to go to the La Grange location, but hate parking over there. Thursday morning around 9 am. Set down right away and waiter come out in about 3 minutes. Ordered the Nolo Omelet (possible special/limited time items this was on a piece paper and not regular menu.) Options were fresh fruit or hash browns and toast or pancakes....got the hash browns and pancakes. Omelet and pancake were hot and good. Hash browns was lukewarm/cold... the batch probably had been sitting for 15+ min as I don't think this was freshly made like the eggs and pancakes. (even after 10 min my eggs were warm but hash-browns was cold by this time.) Liked the decor and service as it was speedy and prompt. Notice a Yelper mention they had gotten the bill 7 minutes after getting their food....I think I got mine about 5 min after but she did say no rush when she placed it down on the table. (Not a problem for me as this is a typical practice when I sit at the bars....easy to pay my bill and get out vs having to wait 5-10 minutes when I want to walk out the door) REAL Fresh Orange Juice as they make it right there with the machine in the front but conveniently out the way from guest. My only small gripe would be the pitcher of water I notice several were already prepared with ice in the waiter section but there was no cover over the top. small pet peeve. Not a breakfast person so I doubt I'll ever be caught here on a Saturdayor Sunday morning/Special occasion, but if I did I don't think I would be patient enough to wait more then 10min if I had to come here. read more

We ate here on a Sunday at about 1pm, as you can imagine it was crowded, we were told a 10 -15 minute wait and it looked like it would be all of that. However we were seated in 5 minutes... yeah. She wanted lunch and I was hungry for some breakfast chow. She had a chicken wrap which she really enjoyed. The service was amazingly quick given how crowded the place was. Drinks came right out, food was up in no time. We were amazed how quickly and efficiently they took care of their diners. Really nice upscale atmosphere. I had the banana nut bread French toast, yum. All in all it was a really nice experience. Only down side was it took forever to pay at the cashier counter. I guess that's the bottle neck of getting people in, fed and then out came in. Oh my this food was so bland and tasteless. If you grew up in a household that had a seasoning cabinet/drawer and your meals consisted of minced herbs, chopped vegetables such, onion, peppers, celery, etc. you will not like the food here. Salt and pepper will not help. We had a large order several people and made it a brunch spread. The German pancakes were folded disk of flour water with sugar with slimy tasteless maybe lemon??? Flavoring sauce, the Mexican skillet was disgraceful and an insult to the term. We also country gravy and biscuits (egg specialties) (I refused to try) and the farmer's skillet I'm told was edible because if you eat a bite of ham with everything it resembles something with taste. We were a group of 6 coming over after Church one Sunday. The Cafe was hopping but we did not have to wait long for a table. Our waitress' name was Hilliary. She was amazing!! Each one of us in the group has a food issue that we need to be careful of and she was excellent in answering questions and giving suggestions. Even though she was busy with other tables she still made sure we always had what we needed. I had a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The cheeseburger was cooked just right and the bun was toasted but not so much that it was hard to chew. Just perfect. It melted in my mouth. The pomegranate tea was really good too but I would highly suggest getting it with little ice (like I did) because by the end of your meal it gets a little watered down but you can still taste the pomegranate a little. I know I will be back to visit the Blueberry Hill Breakfast Cafe but I think next time I am going to go at a slower time. It was just a little overwhelming for me with so much action going on. I visited this place for breakfast this morning. Went very early when they opened. Waitress was nice, nothing spectacular but nice. I have a mocha latte. It was ok. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, eggs, hash browns and bacon. The best part was the bacon. The pancakes were dry even with the blueberry compote. Has browns were actually potatoes chopped but had no real flavor. I added salt and pepper. There was no other seasoning and again, they were dry. I left majority of my food there. I order my eggs scrambled well but I wasn't pleased. They should really do something about the lack of taste the food has. Not sure if I will go back and try something different. read more

What a great experience I had this morning! Cienna was my server and she was so sweet and amazing! You never know what kind of service you'll receive when you're eating by yourself, but it was great! I was trying to kill some time, but the service was so fast, I had time to do other errands! I had the veggie skillet with chocolate chip pancakes and it was really good! The syrup was served warm, which is a nice touch! The only downfall, was their coffee machine was not working for the fancier coffees, but not a big deal. Check it out! read more

I have wanted to try Blueberry Hill Cafe for a while, so my wife and I decided to go yesterday morning. When we arrived, there was a long list of folks in front of us, and we were worried it would be a long wait. To our delight, we only waited 10-15 minutes which is quite rapid for Saturday and brunch prime-time! I don't understand how some folks didn't like the coffee. I'm rapidly becoming a coffee snob, so I know bad coffee when I taste it. The coffee here was good, and I definitely ordered three or four refills in our short stay. If I could use one word to describe the dishes, that word would be ROBUST! My wife ordered a veggie omelet with egg whites and it almost encompassed the full dinner plate. I ordered the Fiesta Scrambler with hash browns, eggs, veggies and chorizo. Take a look at the pictures - the scrambler and omelet were ENORMOUS! We were both able to get two full meals out of one dish. I am happy to report that both the omelet and scrambler were both delicious and quite filling! Great place for brunch and top notch quality. This place has only been open since December 2012 we were told, but first review looks like from October and close enough. Anyway, they have a busy, vibrant atmosphere with good clientele, and they handle crowds efficiently. There is a little hassle factor here though as parking is busy and tight in this strip mall complex that also houses Labriola Bakery and a bunch of other restaurants. We also noted to manager that their German pancake was more like crepes served with a lemony syrup (it has worked at other Blueberry Hills). Not what we expected, and it probably should not be called German pancake, and manager nicely said they will consider offering the more normal serving. I also had the omelette with avocado, and that was great. Will be back when in area and targeting brunch. read more

My friend got a GroupOn deal here so we grabbed brunch on a random Sunday. It was pretty packed but we got a table for 3 without a wait. Service was great and food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. I got the Denver skillet and the portion was huge. My friends got other types of skillet/omelette and it all came with a side of English muffin/toast.. The portions are huge here because we all couldn't finish our food and had to take it to go. The pricing is pretty fair and with the GroupOn deal, it is even cheaper! You pay up front so after the waitress gives you your receipt, go to the front and pay when you are ready. Disappointed! First time back post Covid and the food and service were mediocre at best. The waiter seemed bothered and hurried. He made a mistake with my order. He promised to correct only to come back and tell me they were out of the item I ordered. I would have appreciated the opportunity to change my ordered had I known they were out of the item. Now this is a breakfast spot I can get behind! The employees know how to get people seated asap, give them a good breakfast, and then get them out the door (in a good way). They consistently have hosts watching and busboys ready to go. It truly is fascinating to watch. The coffee is hot and delicious and the food is so plentiful and tasty. We had brunch at Blueberry Hill this weekend,in Oak Brook. There was 6-7 parties already waiting to be seated. After 10 minutes we got the table and opted for bottomless coffees. When my husband and I pulled up to the center, there were zero parking spots. Right off I had a feeling it would be good. Only had a 10-15 min wait to be seated. Right off, our waitress Nicole was on it with coffee in hand! A goddess in an apron for me, she came baring coffee as soon as we sat down. She was a super awesome, always refilling my coffee. The portions were big, I had the chunky monkey waffles. Sweet baby Jesus, they were delicious. Since I've been to most of the other b-fast places around (Juicy-O, Pulp Kitchen, Honey Jam), I had to try this place. For someone who is horribly indecisive, their massive menu + weekly specials did not help me decide on a dish! Do I want the amazing-looking banana nut french toast? How about the chicken and waffles with sweet potato fries? Or maybe this or that? Sigh. I ended up choosing the California West Eggs Benedict (or something named like that). It had avocado = California, apparently. I don't know, ask the California Roll. I did ask for Canadian ham vs. the bacon that comes with it; they were happy to substitute that for me. I was glad mine came with a whole side of fruit, which was one of my deciding factors. Every other dish here comes with a tiny sliver of cantaloupe, but I got the most! Muahahah! I still like Pulp Kitchen's steak and eggs benedict over this one tho... My friend got the chicken and waffles. He said the chicken didn't have much meat, but the waffle was pretty delicious!! The banana nut french toast is pretty delicious, too, if you like banana bread. Nothing really stood out except maybe the quantity of dishes and banana french toast, but I would probably come here again to try something new. Their service is good. I ordered the fruit plate for 12 bucks, and was totally underwhelmed by the 2 tiny pieces of pinkish watermelon, hard-as-a-rock pineapple, and cantaloupe. The grapes did not look washed either. On top of that, the cottage cheese that came with the fruit plate was not cold. The other visit resulted in what I'm guessing was food poisoning. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was that the wait staff was very nice. I would not recommend this location. read more

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I take breakfast food very seriously. I love this place for breakfast food. I've ordered the philly cheese steak skillet many times and it is always delicious. I've also had their steak and eggs and I was pleasantly surprised at how tender and flavorful the steak was. Ive also nibbled on friends crepes and french toast and I found them good as well. My only complaint is the service. Its hit or miss. Either you get a server who is very attentive or you get the one who takes your order and forgets about you. I have been to their other locations and I havent been disappointed. I went to this place for breakfast this morning with my cousins and sister. It sounded like a nice little place and was actually quite crowded for a Wednesday morning. I ordered the butcher shop scrambler with hash browns and pancakes. The scrambler was good but lacking some cheese, which it does not come with. The hash browns were good but a few parts of them were a bit burnt. They were not really evenly cooked! I agree with others that the pancakes are just so-so. They are not really fluffy at all. They aren't horrible but for a pancake house, they should be able to do better. The others in my party ordered omelettes which they all seemed to enjoy, with the same thoughts about the pancakes. Service was okay. Nothing to spectacular. Waitresses came back rather quickly after sitting down to ask if we were ready to order. We needed more time but she did come back and check on us a few times. Food came out quickly but was pretty much room temperature. I'm not one to really complain much about the temperature of food as I don't like my food piping hot anyways. We have been coming to this establishment for quite some time. My family was always very fond of it. The food is incredible. However, this last experience guaranteed we will NEVER return to this restaurant. The waitress, Deb, IGNORED us. And no, I don't mean a miscommunication. First there was a problem with my order and instead of apologizing or offering to replace it with something else she shrugged it off. Then she gives us our bill and placed it down, I thanked her, and continued talking with my friend. A few moments later when we hadn't yet paid, she pushed the receipt closer to us (because we had not moved it or addressed it) and emphasized that we were "all set" with frustrated urgency. Meanwhile our coffee cups went empty for so long that we attempted to get her attention. Nothing extravagant at first, just a simple, "excuse me ma'am" yet she ignored us. Despite her looking right at us and standing within 3 feet of us. No matter what we did she would not refill our coffee and we weren't the only ones. Another customer in her section across the way was swinging her coffee cup OVER HER HEAD, nearly needing to shout for someone, ANYONE to provide her a heat up of coffee. It got to the point that a manager had to ask a different person entirely to refill our cups. By the end of the experience there wasn't a single apology for such rude behavior or the mistakes in my order. The desire to vacate a booth is one thing. I can appreciate that on a busy day, but this was a friend I hadn't seen in years and we were paying customers just like anyone else. We ended up having to go to a different restaurant in order to get a refill of coffee. Totally despicable. read more

I came here with a friend on a Saturday morning. The place was packed (including the waiting area too) but our wait felt no longer than 20 minutes. The menu is very large, which as usual was good in some ways but bad in other ways. Our order arrived quickly, the waitress was adequately attentive, and so the staffing here was completely satisfactory. I ordered a country skillet with a side of pancakes. Though the skillet pictured on the menu shows 2 eggs, I was pleasantly surprised to see the actual skillet come with 4 eggs. More is better, right? Unfortunately not for the rest of the skillet. Beneath the eggs were an overly disproportionate amount of potatoes. The tomatoes and onions my eyes could see but my tongue could hardly detect. At least the amount of bacon was just right. The side of pancakes were okay but completely plain - no butter, powdered sugar, or anything else was included with it besides the syrup. The quality of the syrup was also okay. So compared to a common place such as Denny's for example, the service here is definitely better but so far I actually prefer the skillets at Denny's. read more

First time here came on a Wednesday morning. Located in the plaza with pleasantly of parking. The hostesses seated us right away. The place is quite clean and spacious. Our waiter was extremely kind and well aware to our dietary needs. A+ for that The food was delicious except one problem our well-done skirt steak was a bit on the tough side.
