We had a good stop at this Delmar Loop staple, spending a good hour and a half chatting without being interrupted or pestered by our server who was lovely and gracious and just the right amount of attentive. We were just about to order the toasted ravioli which are locally noteworthy here. Except that in the introduction and telling about the place, our waitress informed us that Blueberry Hill is also owned by the same people who own Pin Up Bowl across the street. We had been there earlier in the week for a work party and the toasted ravioli there are the same ones that arrive by the same delivery here. So we skipped those. We ordered drinks and found some nice options. I had a tin of a local light beer and that was quite tasty. Looking for something different, we went with the fried cheese balls. Sadly, not that great. Battered and fried, they were not very flavorful and no sharpness to the cheese. Peel off the batter and they look like just the same cheese cubes you can get at the supermarket. So I'd say skip these too. Otherwise, Blueberry Hill is cool. The memorabilia on the walls, the fun games in the next room and don't skip the Duck Room. Blueberry Hill is an old music and dining establishment where many legends have played. Many! I only have gone for the food because I'm not much into live music. I don't remember what I had on my most recent visit. It may have been only a lemonade; I wasn't feeling well after an ice cream float at Fitz's across the street (lol @ my dietary choices). Blueberry Hill is locally iconic to the point that the place feels borderline touristy on a busy weekend afternoon. However, if you come in the evening during the week, it's much quieter and low-key, and I prefer that vibe. After you order, if it isn't too busy, try to spend a few minutes looking at the walls of photos of celebrities who have visited Blueberry Hill. (At least, I think they've all visited and it isn't a mixture of those folks & photos from founder Joe Edwards' private collection. We had several people with severe allergies so had to ask about some things on the menu. We asked about the chips that come with their sandwiches. She said they were house made. I visited Blueberry Hill for the first time today, with a friend. We came in for an early lunch and the restaurant wasn't busy. The decor is super vintage, awesome to walk around and look at. Floor to ceiling in the coolest memorabilia. Upon arrival, we were instantly greeted by the bartender who was friendly. Once we chose our bar seats, we were served drinks promptly and given a few minutes to look over the menu. What I appreciated about the menu is that it isn't overwhelming at all, including some simple substitute options. Clear choices, clear pricing on each item listed I think service was very good; bartender was good at checking on us, and did so with a smile. I ordered the famous 7 oz burger with cheddar cheese & fries. I also had a Brick River Co cider - apple, blueberry & lavender. All was superb! My friend ordered a western burger with pepper-jack cheese. He said his food was also super good. Bathrooms were pristine-- I love to see it! And the walls, right outside the bathrooms were framed pictures & autographs of famous people that has visited Blueberry Hill. It's too cool! Blueberry Hill is one place l recommend to family when coming to visit St. Louis. It was always on the list when stopping in to town before officially moving to St. Louis. I love their burgers but it is hard to select when the chicken tenders are fantastic. It is our practice to order 1 lb and a 1/2 of tenders to share, and a large order of buffalo fries. Also pictures is the kids tenders and fries. Pro tip: pay for an arcade card and keep so you can reload in future visits. Came here around 930sih on a Saturday night. When we walked in they asked to check our IDs. Fine! No one directed us on where to go and it wasn't like a normal set up with a hostess that seats you. On one side of the bar you order drinks ( non alcoholic as well) and the other side you order food. Makes absolutely no sense. They hand you a pager and it will buzz when you food is ready. The selection of food and drinks are fine, but the reason for visiting is the atmosphere and ambiance - in fact, there is a live show/band playing, depending upon where you sit, you will be able to hear/feel the band! I spent more time walking around, enjoying the various posters, memorabilia, and pictures around the establishment than I spent dining. She was very kind and checked in on us frequently. Food was fine. Menu hasn't changed a lot. Lots of beer choices. Burgers, salads and typical bar food. The only negative thing is that the restaurant needs a deep clean. The walls are so dusty as well as the memorabilia. I wished I had a Swifter duster so I could dust. I will still return but hire a company once a month to clean the walls and items. It's a shame to have all the cool art covered with a thick layer of dust and it is unappetizing. Blueberry Hill has such amazing burgers. Their burgers come out like you ask the waiter too, and you can remove toppings that you don't want. The toasted ravioli that my sister had was amazing, according to her. The burgers came out in 15-20 minutes, but it was well worth it. I also ordered the Cheddar Cheese Balls. These were crispy and cheesy at the same time. What a diversity of flavour! The waiter had so much energy that it made this place very exciting. It has been a long time since I last went here. I went here with a group of coworkers/ friends. We went here at around 11am yesterday- Saturday. It was not busy at all when we got here. I got their Prosecco and pretzel sandwich with fries. The pretzel sandwich has enough fillings and was cook just right. I was shocked that this place was so kids friendly. Blueberry Hill is a well-known restaurant in the heart of the Delmar Loop. The food menu is pretty standard burgers, sandwiches, and salads. I ordered a BLT it came with potatoe chips, it was just okay and probably because I think it had been sitting for a while before it came to our table, my hubby ordered a regular cheeseburger and fries that he thought was pretty tasty. There was a 20-minute wait to be seated and about another 35 minutes to be served. The hostess said that they were very busy, but once seated, it didn't look very busy. However, i think the bar area was busy. The ambiance is very interesting it's very nostalgic, it has a jukebox, all kinds of collectibles, the owner has pictures all over the wall with well known celebrities that I assume has visited the restaurant before, it was cool to look through all of the pictures. They have a room specifically for live music that just happened to be a band playing, so we stuck around for a bit and listened. My daughter and I ate here last weekend before attending a show in their basement venue called The Duck Room. The food was delicious and fairly quick. Our server was very attentive and even gave me a to go soft drink to take to the venue so that I didn't have to purchase another one. I got the 4oz burger and buffalo fries. I was excited to go to Blueberry Hill but as I looked over the menu, I was a little disappointed. What happened to their chili Mac. They had plain chili. I was in the neighborhood for a concert and wanted some good eats afterwards. I had read about the famous Blueberry Hill and decided to stop in as it was open late. They have a more limited menu late night, but I ordered an impossible burger with fries. It was pretty busy with what looked like a college crowd, so I found a booth a bit away from the noise. The thing about the booths is that they're original and TIGHT. If you've got more of a butt well... good luck. I wish I had kept looking as there was a whole other room on the other side full of regular tables that only one couple was in. Oh well. They give you a buzzer and you have to serve yourself. The food came out pretty quickly. I had to go up again to get condiments and napkins. The burger was just fine. The pretzel roll was a good touch but it ended up being a bit dry. I had a really positive experience at Blueberry Hill this evening. I was a solo traveler, and I was able to just walk around and shoot some pictures of some of the great memorabilia & some of the great rock 'n' roll photos and then sit down and have their 4 ounce burger with Proval cheese and some french fries and just relax.
