We had the unagi and the salmon donburri. Very well prepared. Service was good too, the chefs were nice. The only thing is that I think the unagi should have come out sooner since they weren't busy but it wasn't that bad of a wait. Would come back!

Poor presentation, soggy, fishy and bland.

This was probably the worst sushi spot we've tried so far. We ordered a few hand rolls to go, but they ended up making them as regular sushi rolls because apparently they only do hand rolls for dine-in. It would've been nice if they told us that before we ordered. We ate the rolls right away and honestly it was a huge letdown. The seaweed was already soggy, the rice didn't taste like proper sushi rice, and the fish was pretty bland with that slightly fishy taste you don't want in sushi. We didn't even finish the rolls. Definitely not a place we'd come back to or recommend.

Salmon don ($23) - fresh, good!

Yummm consistently fresh quality fish, in foodie food court Haven City. AND they finally have good chopsticks when ordering for takeout! Hallelujah! Fantastic. I always order the salmon (sake) donburi, which has a generous portion of salmon sashimi and a number of accompaniments on a bed of rice: tamago, shredded daikon, ginger beef, seaweed salad, crab salad, and spicy tuna. Hubby has ordered various nigiri and hand rolls and they never disappoint. And now we no longer have to snag chopsticks from neighboring establishments since they finally upgraded theirs, yay! The only points for improvement now, are that they don't always remember to exclude wasabi from my salmon don, and their online ordering can be better (their direct ordering site hasn't worked for me for months, they may have discontinued it; third party ordering platforms don't seem to have the same menu, and of course prices differ; would also like some customization options such as no wasabi!).

Very excited that we have a sushi place so close to us now! The sushi here is great, and they have a goos 6-set combo. The food is great, but the service will depend on who's working. The first few times we came it was great, but most recently we got a bit of shade from one of the guys when we asked for a cut roll when we were given a hand roll (which wasn't what we ordered). They made the change (cut the roll) but said a snarky comment about telling us not to order the wrong thing next time before retreating back to the kitchen. I don't think I'll be back for a while (or at least not while that fella is on the clock).

Their sets are very affordable and the sushi quality was pretty good. We got a three set and instead of regular tuna the chef gave us toro!!

This place is easily .. hands down .. one of the best sushi spots in West Covina! They are located inside a food hall within a shopping plaza. The sushi chef is very friendly and attentive! He noticed my boyfriend and I were sitting for awhile waiting to place our orders. He took matters into his own hands and asked us what we would like. We each opted for the 6 piece hand roll set. It came with miso soup. Each roll was made to perfection! The ingredients were fresh and he doesn't skimp on the quantity! Just look at the delicious cuts of fish in the photos below! It almost felt like an omakase experience as the chef intricately crafts his art and presents it to you himself for you to enjoy (they actually do actually Omakase options on their menu.. we may venture onto that next visit!). PS- This was our second visit, the service and food quality are consistent. I hope they stay here for a long time cause we will most definitely be back and recommend our friends and family here! :) Thanks for a memorable date night, chef!

Bluefin has become my family's go to for fresh, delicious hand rolls! We have been here 3 times in the past 3 months, and will continue to support this gem. The service has been excellent, things could slow down if they are busy since they offer take out options as well. Sitting at the bar gives the best experience, although they will accommodate if space runs out and you have to sit in the actual food court. It is located in the middle of Haven City Market, so you're surrounded by a ton of other food options, but this is by far the best value for fresh sushi around the area!

We ordered the Salmon Chirashi - the salmon was fresh and delicious, wasn't a fan of the seaweed. We'd come back to order this again but minus the seaweed. Service was prompt and friendly. It has counter/bar seating option, but we opted to eat in the main dining area of Haven City Market.

Loves the chirashi bowl, I'll try the omakase in the future. Super fresh fish, really recommend. Currently my favorite al a carte sushi spot. I also loved that the chef personally told us what each fish was too!

I've come here a couple of times and it has never disappointed. Bluefin is located in the Haven City Market. They have a sushi bar seating style. Because this is a vendor in a shared space, the seating is more intimate than if you were to dine at a standalone sushi restaurant. My go-to is the set handrolls. I believe I've tried all of them, if not most of them. I cannot say one bad thing about this place. The quality of their fish is top-notch as is their service. The fish can be enjoyed with or without the soy sauce in my opinion because they're incredibly silky. The rice and the seaweed they're wrapped in compliments them so well. When I eat at their bar, I feel like I'm in a separate restaurant because of the care that I receive, making it well-worth the price. My top two rolls are the toro and blue crab. Thank you, Bluefin, for the great dining experiences. Keep up the good work! I will be back again.

Bluefin Handroll Bar serves up wickedly good hand rolls. They're a solid vendor here at Haven City West Covina. I've gone a few times, but my wife orders here more often than myself. This past weekend we ordered some food here since they were participating in the Fiesta Filipino Night. We made sure to orders $20+ to enter into a raffle for giveaways. The spot has remodeled since I last remembered. They still have the sushi bar seating but now on the side of the bar are built in seats which is a nice ambiance. The staff/service this particular visit was stellar. We ordered the 4 Set Hand Roll options and the chefs asked if they wanted it cut in half to share. We opted for that and that's a nice touch. We'd never had that offered to us at a hand roll bar before but it turned out to be a game changer especially if sharing with a loved one. Each hand roll came out in a timely matter. The staff checked on us constantly and cleared out the plates when needed. Each hand roll was so delicious. The blue crab HR was my personal favorite. The chefs even gave us some "on the house" items to try. Bluefin served up some family vibes with high quality hand rolls. We felt well taken care of the entire time. You may not think to have top grade sushi/hand-rolls at a food hall, but their quality of service/food is one that should be experienced for yourself. Thanks, Bluefin! ( ^_^)b

Five star service. Five star quality. The chirashi was fresh, thick cut and delicious. The hand roll is right on with rice and sushi portion. The A5 Wagyu fried rice is top notch. Very delicious. Good place to eat during rain. One of the best food court in the area. Covered. Plenty of sitting, with music. Plenty of choices for others and drinks.

We decided to have a late lunch at this hand roll bar at Haven food court. I liked the spacious counter seatings. The food menu was bigger than I thought. We have tried two set menus with blue crab and toro hand rolls, salmon skin fried rice and miso ramen. Also hamachi fish collar and a few à la carte hand rolls. Hubby really liked the toro hand roll that he had 3 of those. The service was very friendly and fast, prices were very reasonable for the portions. A solid hand roll bar that's close to us, we will definitely come back sometime!

It proved more difficult when dealing with the owner Scott. I'll start by saying the end result was us rescheduling at the same rate that we booked & our event went well, however it wasn't without hiccups. When rescheduling, we were specifically instructed by Scott to cancel our booking in Peerspace & rebook the new date. That's when issues started. Before cancelling I mentioned how Peerspace won't refund our full amount & Scott replied that whatever isn't refunded will be credited toward the new date. That didn't happen without us constantly reaching out via text, email, & Peerspace. When you request a date on Peerspace it's pending review/approval from Blush, however it charges you immediately. Since we opted for the payment plan that required about half down & remainder later, we were waiting on our refund to book the new date. It never came. When we were finally able to have a phone call with Scott, I couldn't get one word in the entire time he was mansplaining the world of business. He was very patronizing & I swallowed my pride because we just wanted a resolve & to not lose the deposit. I asked very clearly whether he was going to uphold our agreement. He did, but under the condition that we pay the remainder of our balance upfront in good faith to them. We did & that was that. Thereafter, it was back & forth whether Chris would still be working our event which Scott said he was. Chris was the saving grace of Blush in our opinion. Customer service & how you treat people is king, so it put our hearts at ease. But not for long, since it was changed later to Jin. Getting Jin to respond was difficult. We requested a final walk through with our coordinator about a month before our event. Jin told us he wasn't feeling well & wasn't present for most of the walk through. So we asked questions via email instead. I specifically mentioned a clean facility is important to us. The place just wasn't as polished as we first saw it. He was responsive only after I'd send text follow ups. The week of, not at all. I was waiting on confirmation about our drink selection which I never got & we just hoped it would all work out the day of. Day of our coordinator arrived first. The bathrooms were clean but the bar, cocktail tables, mirror hallway, & front door were full of fingerprints and sticky as if not cleaned from a previous event. We were told there would be 2 staff & that they'd be able to help us move cocktail tables. We weren't aware one of those people would be Jin & he wasn't helpful at all. He completely ignored our coordinator & aunt, but jumped to help our DJ with the sound system. We can only conclude it's because our DJ is a man & as a same sex female couple that leaves such a bad taste in our mouths. Our coordinator & aunt ended up cleaning everything with the one rag & spray bottle he gave after we repeated asked. Coordinator, wife, son, & I moved the heavy tables/ottomans. The drinks didn't taste like our selections. But the worst part was that he started charging our guests upon arrival. My wife & I stepped away to change our clothes. We were there 1.5hrs before start time & Jin never approached us or our coordinator for our card. He also had our itinerary ahead of time and met our coordinator. FYI on top of booking fees, you're also required to use their bar service for ALL drinks alcohol/nonalcohol which is included info on Peerspace. We agreed we'd cover the required minimum of $2500 & once we reached that amount it would turn into a cash bar. Our guests approached us confused about the bar so my wife personally went to Jin & asked why people were being charged, to which he responded "I couldn't find you guys." They immediately include their tip, which we weren't aware of, so drinks totaled to about $2100 w/ the remainder being tax/tip. They continuously ran out of cups & had zero cups for the water dispensers. We were refilling used water bottles to give to the kids. My aunt & cousin were busing tables. Bartenders didn't care to stay quiet or hold drink orders during vows. Every video we have of our vows is them shaking drinks & slamming glassware. There were good things too, kinda. It wasn't communicated to us that the front bathroom was for staff only & we had a outfit change planned, so after first saying no, Jin ended up letting my wife & I use the front bathroom. Also him assisting our DJ resulted in the music going well. It's sadly overshadowed by all the other things that needed improvement. It comes down to a lack of customer service & professional decorum, because the venue itself is beautiful. We gave a final 3 STARS because everything came together. Those missing components are just so vital. A work day for them is literally someone else's most important day that they're choosing and paying to celebrate at Blush.
