    View from upstairs bar

Stayed in the Bodega Bay golf community with some friends for a weekend and ate at the Bluewater lounge both nights. The food is pretty good but the portion sizes are very small. Great views and ambiance from the upstairs bar area so be sure to sit there. Now the bad.... The service. The service was not good, waiting very long to get our menus, drinks and refills. The waiters and the manager seem very unprofessional and like they don't care about anything going on in the restaurant. Manager hovered over me while I was paying the bill and then said "cash tips are accepted"... oh really? He proceeded to put the cash in his pocket and he wasn't even our waiter. Place will probably stay in business due to the lack of options in the Bodega area but just needs some new employees who care a bit more.

    Clam Chowder

We stop here after a round of golf to grab a drink. The service was fast & amazing. I had a bowl of clam Chowder soup ( not a fan very watery) and shrimp tacos. They were one of the best I have had. Full of shrimp , lots of cabbage & avocado. Very flavorful.

This place is amazing. Not only can I play eighteen holes of golf at the golf course, but I can sit and have a wonderful cocktail on the outside deck. The upstairs bar and dining area has incredible views. You should see this during the sunsets. It's what california is all about. And for this mirror I have the salmon alfredo, they actually smoke their own salmon. It was delicious. Not to mention the cocktails, they have a great cocktail menu.Wonderful wines by the glass and absolutely the best beers on tap from our local breweries. The staff is wonderful and the service was fast and perfect. I can't say anything more. They have live music on Thursday night. So i'm gonna check that out myself, but everybody should check out the blue water lounge at the bodega bay golf links. And I found out all the fish is fresh, bought down in Bodega Bay, local wines, local beers on draft. Come down and enjoy the fun.We have the best experience.Thank you, blue water, lounge and your staff. You made our vacation so pleasurable we will be back.

We stopped by for one drink and the live music on our way to our dinner reservation. The bar is upstairs, and the server helped us put two tables together as we had six people. The musician was by the fireplace playing his guitar and you can donate cash. Our bartender was attentive and whipped up our cocktails quickly. He also brought water. One order was misheard, but it was quickly remedied. There were a few televisions around the bar for those who are looking to watch specific sports. Lots of paved parking as it is tucked away in a residential community. Great views if you are facing out the windows. Will be back next time for food or trivia! The restroom we used was downstairs next to the front door. There was an elevator if you need it.

    View is beautiful!

This was our first time dining here. Service was attentive and fast. We started with amazing margaritas and shoe string fries. We tried the Korean ribs, fish tacos and pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious! All that and a gorgeous view and live music. I recommend this place!!

Ribs were excellent!! The sweet potato fries were a nice touch. View from the lounge overlooks the golf course and Doran beach with the beautiful backdrop of the ocean.!! A must stop if you are visiting Bodega Bay.

Last day on vacation. Just wanted to pick up some quick food and take it back to our house to enjoy and relax before leaving in the morning . Amazing view! Good clam chowder. Service was slow.

Service was a bit slow and it wasn't busy. Calamari didn't taste fresh at all. And the fish and chips weren't the best either.

We had a tasty lunch with raw oysters and a jalapeño mignonette sauce, smoked trout dip, and a bowl of the chowder. The smoked trout dip was pretty good with the chip and pickled onion (my least favorite dish). The raw oysters with the mignonette sauce were fantastic...we went for two rounds! My favorite chowder in Bodega Bay was Spud's, but I think this one knocked it out. I enjoyed the smoky flavor to it! Our kids aren't seafood fans so I really appreciated their kids menu that had butter & cheese pasta. Their Bloody Mary was solid as well! The following day, we had the Wedge Salad and calamari along with a bowl of chowder. The salad was crisp and the combination of ingredients was perfect with all the textures and flavors of the bacon, cherry tomatoes, shoe string onion rings, and blue cheese dressing...the best wedge salad I've ever had! I loved the lightness of the calamari batter as well! This is a nicely decorated and clean restaurant. It was romantic with the view of the bay. I felt the customer service was a little off, but eventually our servers were nicer as both lunches went on. There was a Hispanic man that was very friendly and kept our water filled. We enjoyed talking to him. The customers sure were friendly with lots of smiles towards our kids. This is my favorite Bodega Bay restaurant. I look forward to bringing family and friends.

Duh, one of the few places open. Keep thinking we should go up there a open up a place called "Andrea's Late Night" and make bank. Anyway, we split the halibut and cous cous and multiple refreshments. Service was great and the tourists were less than annoying. There is an outside fire pit where kids bored with their parents and not too worried about how they were going to make it back to the bungalow, or worse, left there because the elders forgot about them, were roasting marshmallows. Back inside the crowd was clearing out including the couple with their new baby and $1,200 Orbit stroller. Back in the day I bought a car for less than this. Kids these days!!!! (eye roll). As usual we were the last ones out. We typically close down everyplace we go. In populated areas the staff have restaurants/bars they go to after work and every one you saw during the day are there to unwind. Fun times with these groups. Up in Bodega Bay no such place. I think they rotate the after hours activities between different residences. Nice place just wish they stayed open later.

Ages ago I happily awarded 5-stars to Rocker Oysterfeller but when I came to Rocker's Roadhouse for lunch on a recent Monday afternoon things were decidedly not 5-star. The bar area that one enters first had no patrons despite a table of dirty dishes remaining. When we announced we'd like to stay for lunch we were asked to wait while a table in the dining room was cleared. That's exactly what was cleared: one table in the dining room. There were two other tables of customers in the dining room and now a single clean table. Every other customer-free table in that room was stacked with dirty dishes left by previous customers. This wasn't just unappetizing. It was disgusting and we opted not to stay for lunch. I'm hoping this was some sort of aberrant situation as opposed to standard operating procedure.
