Wow, where do I even begin. After chatting with roughly 10 different wedding planners/coordinators in the Los Angeles Area, we met MJ through Zoom. Luckily, she was available on the date of our wedding to help us with partial planning of the event (we already secured the venue and some vendors, so it was considered partial planning and not full planning). My wedding just took place a week ago at Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank, and I honstly don't think I would had so much fun at my own wedding without MJ coordinating and orchestrating the whole event. I heard that many brides don't remember much details of the wedding because they get so busy taking care of things, but thanks to MJ, I remember all the faces and the little moments from the wedding. Many of my friends commented on how relaxed and stress-free I seemed leading up to the wedding, and it's all because I knew that the event was going to be taken care of by MJ's team. We had a couple of in-person meetings to discuss details and next steps, and I got them done before our next meeting. I already knew I was in good hands when I signed with Blush Events. Blush Events worked on my brother in law's wedding at the Trump National Golf Club and their wedding was published on the web. Anyways, fast forward to our wedding time. We had few hiccups during our process just like everyone else. We had to break up with florist about 2.5 weeks before our wedding date, MJ went above and beyond to find us another florist who did a phenomenal job on our wedding day. Also, the rain poured like crazy all day on our wedding day. MJ came up with perfect plan B, which worked out great on the day of. All our guests enjoyed their time and complimented how beautiful our wedding was! I am sharing some photos taken with a phone, still waiting for professional photos. I spoke with other brides and their experiences with their wedding coordinators were nothing like mine and MJ's. BEST PLANNER EVER. MJ was my month-of coordinator for my wedding, and I couldn't wish for a better person to handle our event. I had all of my vendors pretty much set before I asked MJ to coordinate our event, so I didn't really expect if there will be much of a difference in hiring a coordinator or not (mainly due to my ignorance on the importance of wedding planner's role). From months ahead, MJ checked if I was missing anything, from contracts and COIs of vendors to timelines and contacting the bridal parties. She gave valuable advices when I didn't know what to choose from, such as the color of the flowers and how big it should be, color of linens and song choices, and even where I should place my hand on my husband's arm to look pretty in the pictures! I also had an incident on the wedding day where my wedding dress zipper was broken while I was putting it on. MJ took the dress and ran to the nearby tailors to see if they could fix it. When nobody was able to fix it, she brought it back with a big tool box she carried in her car, took out the zipper (she made sure I was ok about it) and sewed it from the back with me in it. Even though it was a stressful situation, I was surprisingly not that anxious because I really felt she could do something about it. Her quick thinking and problem solving skills were just admirable. I also had another issue with a limousine company I hired for the event, which decided to come an hour late to pick up my guests after the wedding. MJ called the company to figure out what was going on and complained on my behalf (all the while I was with the guests). When she realized the limo driver wasn't going to come any soon, she and her assistants gave my parents and my guests a ride back to the hotel. She later told me this when the event was about to finish, making sure I was enjoying the time without being worried about it. My parents loved her and doesn't stop praising her even now! MJ and her team are the best! My then fiancée and I weren't sure if we wanted a planner or not, but after meeting MJ we were impressed by her thoroughness, organization, and demeanor. Best decision we made for our whole wedding! She not only found vendors that we liked, but sometimes managed to snag us discounts here and there. Our venue was somewhat challenging to plan for, as it provided nothing except a nice view. She handled all of the tough logistical planning and scheduling, vendor meetings, and any last minute curveballs that came our way.
