    Blvd Fries
    Lou H.

Came back and everything was on point. I had the El Fuego which is now one of my favorite burgers. It had cheese that was crisped on the edges, and wasn't too spicy, just a slight bit of heat to it. I had the chili fries which I think lacked a little cheese while being too heavy on the meat chili but were still good. I went back for blvd fries, which I highly recommend. My kid loved his chicken tenders but for some reason didn't eat his fries, so I ate those too, mixing them with my blvd fries. I was happy to see my wife left part of her blvd grilled cheese, which has bacon, tomato and avocado. Finally they still have the 3 free arcades but some punk kid stole one of the knobs on the street fighter arcade joystick. You can still play it, just a little trickier to throw a fire ball or uppercut. Well that's this critic's review.

BLVD Grilled Cheese & Truffle Parmesan Fries Blvd Street Corn

Based off of the food pictures alone, on their website, I had to try the grilled cheese and truffle fries. Sadly, they did not live up to my expectations. The grilled cheese was more like an avocado, bacon, & tomato sandwich. Where was the cheese?!! The truffle Parmesan fries were so lack luster and could've been regular fries. Some pros: - my son loved the chicken tenders & fries - the blvd fries my husband got were pretty amazing - free arcade games my son took advantage of - service was good Overall, an okay experience and I'd would go back to eat their blvd fries again.

    Onion rings battered.

Generous, tasty beef on the smash burger, $15. Mayan Chicken, $12, good portion, messy but satisfying, Onion Rings, substantial $8. A bit pricey compared to others out there. Best part was Lorena. She was cashier, busy boy, expediter, dining room attendant. All done with a smile and very attentive.

More like a 4.5. I ordered the pineapple burger with a house made veggie patty. And also the blvd fries that come with feta, mint and garlic aioli. With 2 different house made ranches on the side. Both were good. Rose explained certain ingredients and was very knowledgeable and had really good tips. She improved my experience even though I got it to go. Seems like there are a lot of different places to sit, including outside. Glad I picked up something. Very filling and enjoyable. The food was ready quick and looked and smelled good. They have a happy hour(reduced prices) and options for kids. I recommend this spot.

Great menu, delicious food and nice selection of local cider beers. Burgers were a little more well done than we ordered but very juicy. Gluten-free bun or cheddar crisp options for gluten-free.

Awe man, coming in hot!! What a great time. Stopped in for lunch during the week as I heard great things about their wings and burgers. The selection of beers on tap is above average and awesome. I had the S&P wings - crispy, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. Best wings in LA, yep I said it. Followed it up with an El Fuego burger, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Not too spicy but just enough. My server/bartender Laurnetta was simply amazing and made me feel welcome. I'll be back!!

When I say this place was delicious I mean it was one of the best burgers and tots I've ever tried. Stop by on my way back to Orange County and yelp is always my go to when I need to find a good place to eat. I ordered the Diablo burger or fuego (can't remember) and the blvd tots I wish I lived closer to this place.

Food was good and stayed intact while eating. Helped to cut the burger in half beforehand. A side of tater tots was good too, good crisp, size and portion. Beer was a good compliment to the food. Service was quick and helpful. Ambiance was good as I'd expect it to be busy but enough tables including outdoor seating and luckily saw a few available as it was already busy for a Friday afternoon. There's a bar and mini arcade area too. Pricing was up there considering "gourmet" when size of food portion was average and food was eaten quick so hesitant on coming back soon but will do in the future. Good experience

    El Fuego, add grilled pineapple

We love this little spot! Great place to stop by after the Farmers' Market. Service is always friendly and efficient- Adrian is great. All the burgers are good and we love the creative options. El Fuego and Savage (both pictured) are where it's at! Also don't skip the Philly fries (pictured), chili cheese fries (pictured) and buffalo cauliflower.

In this case, he went for a sampler when we were dining at Shooby's. The four options he chose were on the light side, with a hint of fruity flavors. There was only one that I really cared for - which made me long for the good old days of pizza and beer. One was too bitter for me, and the other two didn't really make much of an impression. DH did better - he enjoyed 3 of the 4. He said that none of them was a huge standout, but he appreciated that they had such a variety of choices available. Apparently, there's not much in the way of inexpensive drinking these days. The four samplers came up to a whopping $16, before tax and tip. Whew! I think the concept of having Shooby's (burgers & chicken), Rori's (artisanal ice cream), and Topa Topa Brewing Company all under one roof in Old Town Camarillo is quite brilliant. There are lots of tables available for dining and drinking. I suspect that we'll be returning to this location for casual dining and imbibing.

We expect a certain standard, a level of care that borders on obsession. So when I catch Evan Williams--respectable, questionable, but barely twelve bucks a bottle--making an appearance behind the bar, it feels like a breach of trust. A quiet betrayal under low lighting. The illusion only works if the details hold up under scrutiny... and that pour? It broke the spell. And then comes the real offense: discovering that your Old Fashioned--the crown jewel of any respectable cocktail program--are built on bottom-shelf, dust-collecting bourbon. That's not just a letdown, it's a slap in the face. A cocktail like that deserves reverence, not shortcuts. And as if to twist the knife, there it was--a massive can of red maraschino cherries sitting shamelessly atop the bar, like some relic from a dive that's given up on finesse. It wasn't just a misstep. It was disrespect. In a place claiming the speakeasy mantle, details like these matter. They're the difference between theater and parody. The cocktails did not warrant the $15 price tag. Moreover, I would have paid more had I know the class of bourbon upfront. What ultimately redeems the space is its ambiance. The low flicker of the fireplace, the soft embrace of worn leather sofas, the curated hum of music floating just above conversation--it's seductive, even soulful. The room itself is small, intimate--the kind of place where you're bound to recognize a face, or at the very least, feel inclined to invite a stranger to share the sofa and maybe a story. And then there's the setting--tucked beneath a historic relic, a basement bar built into the bones of old Americana. The building dates back to the early 1900s, echoing with a past that deserves to be honored, not phoned in. That's exactly why I expected more from the cocktails. A place with this much atmosphere shouldn't fall flat when it comes to what's in the glass. It's a mismatch--a beautiful stage, but a script that doesn't quite rise to meet it.
