The most corrupt, dishonest, moving company, I have ever used. The salesman was good, pretended he…read morewas a GOOD person, and unfortunately for me, the move turned into a nightmare. Broken furniture, missing parts, lying truck driver, and the list goes on. My sister and I had to help unload and put my furniture away. ( Which I paid extra for.) The truck driver, the 800 phone number, the salesman, kept telling us help was on the way, but little did we know, the truck driver had no intentions of getting help, since he has to pay the crew. It took almost 12 hours for the three of us to unload and assemble things. The driver even tried to take my expensive lawn mower, and insisted it was not in his truck. I told him it had to be there, it was new, and in the manufacturer's box. As I start to search his rig, he is right behind me saying "it's not here," and just as he says it I find my box. He is still denying it is mine. (It is roped off in another section,) I show him my name on box, and he finally lets me have it. Towards the 11th hour we knew that the truck driver was also exhausted. My sister and I are over 65 years old. Needless to say I "Threw my back out with so much lifting,"... my sister did not feel well, either. We made a complaint right away about what happened and were assured we would be compensated for the extreme, grueling, episode, we went through... And they tell me I signed a paper that says .60 cents a pound. So for my Flex Norditrack, my furniture, my missing batteries for mower, etc, they offer me about $75.00, then they offer me 150.00 for the 12 hours of work my sister and I had to do, and no compensation for being in bed for almost two weeks in serious pain. I am exhausted of trying to talk to their people. "RUN, DON't WALK AWAY FROM this MOVING COMPANY... There are more nightmare stories of them stealing stuff, being rude, and holding furniture as ransom. If you do have a CLAIM make sure you file it before nine months is up. My only recourse now is to take them to court.

It didn't help that my parents were breathing down my neck, doing the frugal-Asian-parents thing that they do. In the end, the choice was pretty clear. I could go with a traditional van line moving service, or I could hire Bekins' moving pod product line, Chronos, at roughly half the cost. Even though half of a big number is still a big number, the savings (at over a grand!) had me sold. On both ends of the move, the folks who came to pick up and drop off most of my worldly possessions were supremely efficient at their task and flexible with logistical requirements/challenges. Y'know... like the crazy regulations that generally don't make sense, but that are enforced by a condo management agency. Or similar ultra-strict rules and missing freight elevator operators in a Manhattan doorman building. Eh. I got to use my own padlock to ensure that no one tampered with my crap once it was loaded into the giant moving pod; the only casualties of the move appear to be a small plate and a little plastic pad for my dining room table. I barely had to lift a finger, and the price was -exactly- what I was quoted, down to the last cent. As far as I'm concerned, I consider hiring Bekins to haul my stuff up the eastern seaboard a success. That said, I'm really -not- excited about moving again anytime soon.

They couldn't complete the packing in the allotted time because they didn't bring enough people or have a big enough truck. They came back on day 3 at 7pm and did not finish until midnight! When they finished no one had my paperwork and I was told they'd bring me the paperwork the next day (my daughter's 4th birthday). NO ONE SHOWED UP! No one answered my calls or texts. My 3 children (ages 7 and below) and I spent the day sitting in an empty house WAITING. I was supposed to leave the day before and delayed my departure so they could finish packing only for them to ask me to stay an additional day because they had no paperwork. The delay costed me 2 additional nights in a hotel. I had to leave the state with no proof that they had my entire household goods. I never got my paperwork. When they delivered my household items I was missing a SOFA, 16FT LADDER, QUEEN BOXSPRING and more! How do you lose such large items?!?! I had several broken items including my washer and dryer completely dented in. I also had someone else's items mixed in with mine (so someone else suffered a loss). RUN from this company! The military needs to ban them from getting contracts to move soldiers.

I will say that I enjoyed the company and trusted the two guys that came to move my one bedroom…read morecondo into a storage unit. They were personable and very efficient. My drop of one star comes from the estimate. I have never once in my life received an accurate moving quote, so I should've known better- but I over estimated how many boxes I had and I truthfully didn't have a ton of furniture, so I really thought (as did the person providing my quote) we could do it in 4 hours with 2 guys. Not a chance. and this was INCLUDED with me helping a ton. I pushed carts, I carried shit... I was actively working alongside them. It ended up being fine, but I really think I would give 5 stars on demand to any company that could actually provide an accurate quote. It's never once happened and I've moved a LOT. I also think the company needs to better be able to advise when the crew is coming- especially when you're the first move of the day (I asked). However, the two guys worked their butts off. They very neatly stacked and organized my stuff in the unit. They were "yes ma'am" and all and really just nice, hardworking men. I appreciated that after some real disasters in the past with 2 Men and a Truck (never again) and Metro Delivery Group (also never again) and JK movers (unless you want to pay triple for no apparent reason!). All in all, it was a very decent experience, when moving sucks anyway. I will 100% use them again- and just ask for a more realistic quote.

As a result, many of our items were not properly packed and were left in our own boxes. The handling of baby items was unacceptable. Diapers were left completely unprotected, and a newborn sleep mat--which we were told would be wrapped--was seen on our home security camera being placed into the trunk without any wrapping. Because it's for a newborn, it became unsanitary and had to be discarded. When we raised concerns, the movers were dismissive and blamed us instead of taking responsibility. Overall, poor preparation, careless handling, and unprofessional attitude. I would not recommend this company, especially for families with young children.

Their communication was awful in general including their pick up time and delivery date and time. They arrived late to pick up our stuff even though we had notified them about our narrow pick up window since we were living in an apartment building. My husband was not notified that our things were arriving to Boston until the night before when he called to ask. He rushed via car from DC with our son to be in Boston on time for the delivery to only find out that they would arrive late the day after. Gathering info out of them felt like a pulling a tooth. There was no one to speak to after office hours. Their service was disorganized in general. Some of our boxes arrived crushed. In summary, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I had done a virtual walkthrough when I was told they were familiar with my building yet they brought a truck that didn't fit in the loading dock. Only two movers came, they outwardly expressed their lack of motivation, they needed to borrow Allen keys from maintenance, and they didn't finish packing until 6 pm (after the reservations were expired). They said they would be back first thing in the morning. The next day, they didn't arrive until 10:30. They didn't bring any additional stickers for the remaining inventory, gave me attitude when I asked to watch everything get loaded. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't happen to have the following day off or if the dock was unavailable the second day.

They didn't show up on time and then didn't call to make us aware of any delays. They signed a contract and got paid to do a full moving job that they did not complete. They were paid to unload boxes, unpack boxes, assemble all furniture that was disassembled by the pack out company and then remove all debris. They unloaded the boxes (300+), unpacked approximately 20% of the boxes, left the debris and had my husband assemble the furniture. They didn't even bring the tools (allen wrench) necessary for assembling the furniture. They told us they would return on Monday to finish unpacking and assemble, but they didn't show. Upon emailing the President, she stated a time and day they would return and then emailed to cancel on the morning they were to arrive. No phone calls, no apologies, and they didn't make another appointment to return. They also didn't bring any paperwork for us to verify the goods were accounted for, we were never given, nor signed any documents with them. Additionally, we had asked them to remove the debris (I estimate approximately 80% of the boxes) but they didn't. If you're looking for good moving company, I would warn you to certainly look elsewhere.
