We're a family of three with a one-year-old, and we recently went looking for a larger SUV for our growing family. We found what looked like a great deal on a used BMW X7 at BMW of Concord, stopped in, took it for a test drive, and loved it. Unfortunately, what followed was one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences we've had. Right off the bat, the sales agent told us the vehicle had a few months left on its bumper-to-bumper warranty plus a full additional year of bumper-to-bumper coverage. That wasn't true -- the extra year was only powertrain coverage. And we didn't find this out from the salesperson; we found out from the finance manager, who mentioned it happens often, almost like a routine bait-and-switch to make buyers feel covered for at least a year. When we asked about getting actual full coverage, we were told we'd have to pay extra for it, which we did, but it left a bad taste. We decided to buy anyway. Because it was the end of the day, we spent about 30 minutes on initial paperwork with the understanding that the rest would take roughly 45 minutes the next day. We came back, carefully inspected the vehicle again -- it looked great -- and they took it to the detail shop while we finished financing. Credit ran smoothly and we were approved, no complaints there. Then the wait began. After we wrapped financing in about 45 minutes, we asked when the car would be ready. "Still in the shop, working on a few little things." There was also a small crack in the plastic piece on the center console, and the sales agent told us to just find him when we came in for our first service and he'd take care of it (more on that later). We ended up waiting four hours. We asked multiple people multiple times where the car was, and every single time got the same answer: still being detailed. By the time it was done it was dark and we were exhausted with a one-year-old, so we did a quick once-over, it looked fine, and we took it home. The next day, in better light, we found a bunch of new paint chips we hadn't seen before -- and a freshly covered-up gash about 3.5 inches long on the front that looked like someone had scraped it against concrete. Suddenly the four-hour wait made a lot more sense. At the time I assumed everyone was just awkward because it was taking so long; now I'm fairly convinced the detail shop damaged the car and spent those hours trying to hide it. It only got worse from there. One of the big promises was that whenever you drop your vehicle off, you'll get a loaner of the same vehicle, same options if they can swing it. When we brought our X7 in, we got an X5 -- a real inconvenience with family coming into town. The service tech told us the odds of getting an X7 loaner were low since they only have two in a fleet of about 100. We were in that loaner for two months because they said the repair materials were long lead time. When we finally got our car back, some of the promised fixes were done -- but not all. The 3.5-inch gash that had been sloppily painted over was still there. When I brought it up, they claimed it was there when the vehicle first came in. I asked for records proving that; it wasn't documented anywhere. I also took the car to a third-party shop that does BMW-certified work, and they confirmed the gash doesn't meet BMW standards and would need to be repaired before the car could be certified. I also went back to the sales agent about the center console crack he'd promised to handle. This time the story was completely different: nothing he could do, it's an expensive fix, and while he could help me arrange the repair, I'd have to pay for it myself. On top of that, we had the service tech document new paint chips and scratches the detail shop had added. We were told to come back on a Friday two weeks later when someone does paint touch-ups. The result looked like the chips had been filled in with a white-out bottle -- same quality as the gash "repair." My sister-in-law had been looking at a brand-new X1, and I'd been eyeing a matte black M6 in their showroom. After all of this, we told her to go to Pleasanton instead, and I'll buy my M6 from anywhere else once I find the package I want. Bottom line: between the deception and the poor detail-shop work, I'd tell anyone to just drive on to the next dealership. What really gets me is making a couple with a one-year-old wait four hours while they fix their own mistakes in the back. If someone had just been honest -- "hey, there's been an issue and we're fixing it," maybe knocked a little off for the gash -- none of this would have been a big deal. My lease is up and Howard and Mursal did their best to find me something but I didn't find a car that I wanted so I went with another brand. My daugther took her 2011 mini cooper for an oil change that took them 2 hours in October and 4 days later the lights went off while she was on the road. She ended up buying a new car. Meanwhile, we towed the mini back to Vegas and our mechanic found out they put in more than 3 quarts of engine oil enough to ruined the water pump and belts!! What a shitty job! Years after we finally end a dispute with their terrible service, wherein we agreed I would go elsewhere and they would decline to serve me, these folks won't stop harassing me with emails and calls to come in for service. I have asked them to stop harassing me. I have asked BMW NA to ask them to stop harassing me, and confirmed with BMW NA that they were so instructed. But it continues. This is legitimately the worst place I have ever dealt with in any customer service capacity. read more

I experienced terrible customer service at BMW Concord from the sales dept. I have been a loyal customer for almost 12 years and I'm on my 4th lease with BMW. I was misinformed about coverage on the last year of my lease & was presented with a huge bill for maintenance. When I explained the situation, they did absolutely nothing to help and gave me the run around for several days. I do not feel that they value me as a loyal/repeat customer, nor do they care, and their actions speak volumes. I will not be giving them my business ever again after my lease is up next year. I don't know if I just got unlucky with a salesperson..but I did not have a great experience at this dealership. After test driving the car the salesperson just kept sending me the same Nationwide advertised lease "deal". Refused to negotiate. Even after I clearly stated "let me know when you can offer better numbers" he kept texting me asking if I "made my decision". What a bizarre experience. He would be better off just telling me these numbers were their final offer rather than these weird texts that just created an impression of unprofessionalism. This is the second time in all my years and years of leasing cars that I walk into this dealership to regret it. I went here to find out what was the issue with my key fob and they tried a few things and even changed the battery all free of cost, but the only thing they could think of in the end was a need to obtain a diagnostic, what I liked is was the fact that instead of just taking my money and conducting a diagnostic, they informed me that if the BMW dealership is anything like their's, the key fob is under a 2 year warranty so I should contact the dealership I bought the key from in. They also gave me a nice BMW stainless steel travel coffee mug for scheduling a visit. read more

After spending over $10,000 on vehicle servicing, I was shocked to find it in a state of disrepair upon its return. Last December I lost my key to a 2003 Z4. I went on line ..bought a dummy uncut key ... had the key cut at a locksmith ... but I knew it needed to be programmed to talk to the ignition system. I took the key to the deal, showed them my cut key and they said they could not program it and I would have to buy a key from the dealer at almost $200...which I did. Now I find out from a BMW DIY Club ... that there is a VERY EASY work process to program my cut key, which was successful! It is very annoying that the dealer always has the only "BMW certified" way to do things. He could have shared the easy process to program the key, but added the caveat about BMW does not sanction it yadda yadda yadda. But no, they did not mention the easy process at all, and only gave the option of buying a new key from them. read more

I do not recommend for service. I scheduled an oil change with an appointment on their website. When I arrived they said they could not complete it until the following morning and just expected me to leave my car overnight. They were very courteous but made no attempt to prioritize my 30 min oil change for the actual appointment day, much less the scheduled time. I won't be back. read more

Had my car serviced last week in Concord. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Specially Mursal Popal who is very accommodating, professional and assisted us with our Brake Pad issue. When we moved to Vacaville in 2023, we switched and had our car service in BMW Fairfield. Sad to say, their service was disappointing & not as good as Concord. I called their Customer Service 5x and nobody returned my call. I even mentioned that i have called 5x. Still no one responded. Despite the distance, we now prefer to have our car service in Concord. We also shared our experience with our friends the excellent service we got in BMW Concord. Our Service Advisor Christopher Neves is very pleasant and cordial. Absolutely everything needs improvement. The employees in the service department are uneducated. Aftet basically dismantling my 2015 338i series BMW they said something to do with fuel was in backwards. Instantly made no sense as the only people to touch this car for 6 years never dismantled anything like BmW concord did. We'll after bringing the issue to their attention they say we have to pay over 8k to fix it .. mind you the car had Absolutely no problem for 6 years and for 3 years after getting world don't at a reputable shop that we do regular business with. A trustworthy honest mom and pop with master tech mechanics. I know for a fact bmw has uneducated people running in and out of employment at this concord location. I recommend to not bring any car here. FYI originally all bmw was supposed to to was set codes. They will take you for money and fuck ur car up read more

Miguel went above and beyond to get over $16,000 worth of repairs covered under the SULEV warranty -- something I never would have expected a dealership to fight for, but he made it happen. My 328i has been serviced exclusively at BMW Concord since its delivery, and every time the work has been top-notch. Sure, the prices are on the higher side, but you absolutely get what you pay for here: knowledgeable staff, thorough work, and peace of mind that the job is done right. After dealing with substandard service with my last car, which was a Hyundai; I decided that I was ready to finally buy my first BMW. I bought the car of my dreams at another dealership that was further away from my home. When my car became due for service, I decided to check out this place. From the moment I arrived at the service department, it was truly a pleasure. An employee greeted me at my door and directed me to a service agent. The agent was kind and professional and showed me the service that was due for my car. Was it expensive? Yes, but that was yo be expected. It's a BMW. I told him that there was a loose part in the interior, and he said it was covered under warranty. He directed me to a customer lounge that resembled a hotel lobby more than a car service department. There was a coffee/hot chocolate machine and a water bottle filling station. It was very nice and VERY clean. The cleanliness extended to the restroom as well. After waiting a bit, the advisor told me that it would be quite a while before my car would be complete. He offered my a ride home, and I inquired if they had any loaner vehicles available. It turned out that they did. After some paperwork, I was escorted to a 2024 4 series. The car was stunning and completely clean. It felt like I was driving a brand new car. I drove home and later received a video from the mechanic. The mechanic showed me a detailed vehicle of what he was doing to my car! This was a first! So awesome! When it was time to pick up my car, I gassed up the loaner and drove it back to the dealership. When I received my car, it was spotless! The interior, as well as the exterior, had been completely detailed. If your tired of dicking around with there other car service departments, come check this place out. Your time is worth money, and it should be respected. This is the first service department that I can honestly say has respected my time and my car. Great job, Concord BMW! read more

I brought my car in for service and new tires. When I picked up my car the tires and wheels were lathered in grease, no one bothered to clean them up, although I did opt for no car wash you would still think they'd mount the tires and maybe take off all the excess grease and what not at bare minimum. Anyways, I thought Whatever ima detail the car anyways. When I go to detail the car, there's curb rash EVERYWHERE dude. All except one tire. So I take It in a week later to get it inspected, and I admitted to curb rash I was Previously responsible for, but there was so much new damage to the wheels (pictures down below). The service advisor was cool, but he brought his manager the service director Rafael to inspect the wheels. First problem I had With dude was there was NO assumption of responsibility on his part. He said he didn't believe they did that because I brought the car in a week later lol. I complained about the grease that was left on the tires and wheels he said well I didnt get the car wash. He said the machines couldn't do that type of damage to the wheels, and then I was Like well check the pre inspection and after inspection video, and guess what, they didn't take one. So instead of assuming responsibility for their lack of taking the initiative to prepare for any liability against them, he blamed me for bringing in the car a week later. And the problem that bothered me the most was that when talking about proper compensation and handling of this problem (he said he can repaint the wheels, take a look at the damage and see if it's a fix just by painting it) he walked away mid conversation. read more

Went to BMW Concord to buy a used car, a Lexus 300h. I contacted Andy Li via phone to indicated I was interested in the vehicle and that we would be stopping by later that afternoon. We loved that car but the experience with Andy was just the best! The car was being detailed when we arrived, the tank was full and he even offered to have some minor paint chips corrected while I waited.
