Today, the parts counter was hopping and one man running the show, Mr. C, this man is awesome. I was there to inquire about an exhaust issue in my retro BMW. Waited in line about 20 mins, with one hell of a rude, entitled donkey, complaining all the time. Mr. C was nice to try and get me the information needed but the BMW system wasnt having it. Sales here is awesome and probably should be its own separate review, service is not so bad but the reason this does not get 5 stars is price. Price should be broken out In two categories. Sales- they are hands down the best prices in the are but where they will try and up sell you is on add-ons which mean nothing but expensive service. Do not buy the add ons. How about service prices. A few prices are good but the worst is the brakes, tires, rotors or any wear and tear items. There prices are triple the average of the area and more than 10xs higher than the national average. Shop around the prices here and I promise you will find better service pricing in VA and MD. read more

Avoid these people, they're lairs. I called in 4 days ago and got quoted by Miguel for a 24 m340i (original MSRP $68,570) $66,000 final sale price. I asked to send the details to give them the deposit and nothing was sent. I was emailed by their sales manager max about Miguels performance. Max called me and I told him about Miguel's poor communication, and the price he gave me. he said he'll look into it and get back to me. Max never got back to me. Today I call in and ask for a different sales consultant. I told him about my situation and what Miguel and Max have said and done. I also told the new sales consultant about the price Miguel quoted me, he said he'll call back and let me know. He calls back and said that they'll only discount the car of an MSRP of $69,870 $500. read more

I bought a certified preowned 2023 bmw x6 from here. I have already owned a bmw x6 since 2014, so I know it is a pain to get the run flat tires replaced. This new car was the anniversary model and it has large tires made by continental, and so I got the tire warranty as I drive in bmore city often and get nails in my tires. I inquired prior to buying the car about whether they kept these particular tires in stock at all times in the event the tire is low, and was assured that they do. Flash forward 1 month. I get a nail in my tire. I am a busy professional and they made me come four times to attempt to get this tire. They had no loaner. I drove around on a tire that could not keep air for almost two weeks. I voiced my concerns and that i wouldnt have bought the car if I had known this and they basically lied to me. Now, the issue is happening again. My tire has less than 20 psi overnight so I know it isnt just from cold weather. They refuse to order the new tires until they confirm the presence of a nail and that means at least two trips there on a low tire. They cannot offer a loaner for over 2 wks. If this is the way my life will be with this car it makes me want to sell it. They have not been helpful and basically straight up lied to me. read more

An exceptional car buying experience from beginning to end! BMW of Silver Spring is located in an auto park with several other competing dealerships. So, you have your pick of the litter when one deal is not to your satisfaction....you simply, can go to another dealer next door. I drove to this auto park, from DC, with the intentions of viewing and buying a car I had been eyeing at the Mercedes-Benz dealership located nearby. Needless to say, I left with a BMW! To qualify here, I knew nothing about BMW's and had no intentions of buying a BMW car. I have been a devoted Mercedes-Benz fanatic....since my very first car....actually my last 4 cars. Nevertheless, sorry I digress. After viewing the car at the Mercedes-Benz dealership and not deciding to purchase it, I stopped by BMW of Silver Spring to see a car on their lot that caught my attention as I passed by on my way back to DC. I figured, why not? Since I drove this far, I might as well. As I pulled into the dealership and walked through the door, I was promptly greeted by the receptionist and introduced to a Client Sales Advisor, named Desirea Jackson. Desirea was a delight to work with. From the beginning of meeting her, she was attentive and completely listened to my preferences (i.e. price #1, the conveniences I was looking for, and options) for a car. I also explained to her that I was only inquiring about the car on their lot and did not want to waste time on an exacerbated sales spiel. Not once did her eagerness or energy-level change from that moment and onward. This type of gesture says a lot about a person. And, I'm big on this type of customer service and respect as it can completely turn me away from making a deal with people that don't come across this genuine. Instead, she continued to treat me as any other priority customer that was actually making a purchase that late evening. Also, she was not overbearing or pushy...something I detest at a car dealerships. We sat down at her desk and she began to pull information on the car for me, the car fax, and gave me an introduction to the BMW line so that I could have a sense of how BMW cars may stack up to the Mercedes I was eyeing. I felt almost as if I was in a BMW 101 class! In a few short minutes, I learned more about BMWs and its various models than I ever would scouring the web in the same amount of time. She made me feel comfortable enough that I decided to test drive the car and she even presented me the opportunity to test drive several other cars as a comparison. While on the test drive, she continued to introduce options, conveniences, the technology and the performance on the car. I was really impressed by her overall presentation and her invested interest to know so many details about certain BMW cars inside and out. This type of display, certainly let me know as a customer....that she takes take pride in the product she was selling and not just solely focused on a sale. In conclusion, all went well. The car turned out to be all that I was looking for. We discussed the bottomline numbers and out the door price. I even asked for a day to think about the purchase....as I was having Mercedes-Benz separation issues...lol. Again, not once, was Desirea over-bearing, annoyed, pushy...or would blow my phone up at nauseam like other dealerships did during the process. Instead, she gave me the proper time, which turned into another day, to make my decision. She remained responsive and promptly available to answer any questions that I had during that time (via phone, text and email)...and believe me, there were plenty! When it came to making the actual purchase, she was commendable in all her efforts and BMW Silver Spring was very fair in accepting the offer and price I gave them....actually, more than one would think for the type of car I purchased. It was a very relaxed car buying experience and I did not feel like I was being taken for the typical car dealership "joy ride!" Her GM (Steve and Allen) were helpful in meeting my needs (well...more like demands...lol) and helping to complete the deal. I truly walked away from their establishment feeling like a valued customer. In all honesty, a BIG...Kudos!...to Desirea Jackson!! She made the entire car buying process very easy for me and talking/dealing with her was like talking to a friend. She helped me find exactly what I was looking for and even stayed late past closing time to make sure everything was done properly. The whole team was the 5 star professional experience you would expect. Rockville BMW History: I used to take all my BMWs to Rockville BMW and recently was dealing with Ali (Service Adviser) and Scott C (Service Manager) at Rockville BMW. They were not good, did not appear knowledgeable about the Dinan/BMW Warranty process and would not even reply to emails. I got the impression they simply did not care. After taking my beloved 5Series to a Popular Car Care Center (who shall remain nameless) for a $100.00 routine oil change, I THOUGHT I was in really good hands... until I went to get my car on the scheduled date and it was not ready. Not only was it not ready, it wasn't running either. The un-named center performed unrequested services on my vehicle (Electrical, Transmission, and other non-related systems) AND botched the requested services as well, resulting in the state of ill-repair and @ $11,000.00 worth of damages. After retrieving my vehicle by tow, BMW of Silver Spring quickly assessed the issues and repaired my vehicle 4 days ahead of schedule. EVERYONE there was extremely polite and professional. They did alignment for my car. But i found the technician did not put steel in level. However They did not admit it is their problems and charge again. Just 1 trip and 1000miles. I found this issue when.i drive but i can not stop my trip. I called them for service immediately when i found the issue. After second alignment. I asked for.report and showed the report to other dealer alignment technicians. All three technicians agree it is their technical issue. They did bad job. The customer service at this dealership has declined over the last several years. I am speaking specifically about the service department (which is an oxymoron). I (was) a loyal customer over the past 10 years but this place has lost my business. The communication is abysmal. Loaners are rarely available. My car has 137,000 miles on it and I'm treated as a second class citizen because I am not a new car owner. Even though I bought this vehicle at this specific dealership. Note - this is for the SERVICE only. After an awful purchase experience at BMW Catonsville, I resolved to never return there again. My car needed service so I decided to come to this location. Every person here I encountered here was excellent and friendly. It is quite obvious by my interactions here that customer service is a high priority here. I have been here twice. Once for an engine service and another for tire repairs. Both times were seamless. They have convenient hours, which made it so easy to drop my car off here. They also let me chose the car I wanted (out of available loaner stock) for my loaner. I love being able to do this because it's nice to drive a different car every once in a while. Overall, I've had a great experience here. If I were to purchase another BMW, I would likely come here. P.S. I originally came here prior to purchasing my BMW and looked at cars. 5/23/22 If you are there for service, avoid like the plague. They are going through a multi year renovation apparently and their service department is a dumpster fire. 2 people to check people in, 3 bays for cars, check in in a tent. It took me 25 minutes (I had an appointment mind you at 8AM) for them to even check me in. Then they told me that my standard oil change was going to take a day and a half and they didn't have any loaners. Hard pass, I will go to the Rockville location. read more

I feel slightly embarrassed having to write this update, but here it goes. I had some life events occur within a short span of time, which found me needing a new vehicle. I ended up purchasing a BMW from Rockville BMW and decided to give Silver Spring BMW another chance. After contacting their GM and discussing my concerns, I agreed to meet with him and the service director in person. Understanding that my past experiences with this establishment were almost two years prior, I decided to begin my new relationship with their service department and maintain a fresh outlook on it. So far, after having completed one service it seems that things have changed (for the better!) Eric, my service advisor, is attentive to detail, good at communication, and punctual. The first service experience I had with them went off without a hitch and I'm glad to say that I can see myself going back to this dealer for subsequent services in the future. I come to this location for my service appointments. I had my first-ever need for an emergency appointment, where my driver's side seatbelt buckle wasn't working. I called the location to ask to be seen, because what was an impossible fix for me would be a quicker fix for them. I was told that no one could see me until Monday (3 days from now). Part of the value of a BMW is the quality of service, and I am admittedly disappointed by this. They didn't provide any recommendations for alternatives. read more
