It's been a while since we've been to Apple Hill. We decided to stop at Boa Vista Orchard and enjoy their blueberry-themed event. Since it was a weekend, we expected it to be jam-packed, but it was a decent crowd, not too busy. They had vendors set up with items for sale and delicious fruit on display. The BBQ smelled amazing, and we both decided next time we will plan to eat lunch here as well. After we walked around, we wanted to try some of their desserts. My husband chose the apple fritter, and I chose a blueberry turnover, and we also grabbed some coffee. The employees who helped us were a little off-putting and did not seem to want to be there. That was surprising since everyone else we encountered was nice. Once we settled into a bench, we dug into our desserts. They were both delicious and messy, which I think are the best desserts. Before we left, we decided to grab some donuts to take home for family. We got the Blueberry Sugar Donut, Blueberry Glazed Donut, Sugar Apple Donut, and Glazed Apple Donut. The employees who helped us at this window were very nice and helpful. I would've given a 5-star rating but had to drop one due to the first employees. If they do not want to be working, they shouldn't be there, or at least shouldn't be working the front. We will definitely be back again in a few weeks and take the kids this time!

One of my coworkers actually brought these into work, and I've been wanting to try their donuts but just haven't gotten the chance to make it up there myself. He kept raving about the lavender donut, and as soon as I heard the name I was intrigued and had to give it a try. Omg, it was truly amazing! The lavender flavor was light and floral without being overpowering or tasting perfumey, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. The donut itself was soft, fluffy, and tasted super fresh. It's such a unique flavor and definitely not something you find at every donut shop. I totally understand why my coworker was hyping it up now !! Highly recommend trying the lavender donut if you get the chance and I'll definitely be making a trip there myself to try more flavor

    Small selection of imported watermelon.

First time visiting here was for the Watermelon days event. Indeed felt like a scam. I was disappointed that they barely had any watermelons for sale, and I was told they were imported for Mexico since it's not in season in California. The selection for watermelon flavored things were small too. I only ordered the watermelon ice cream, which tasted good. It was an artificial creamy watermelon flavor. The lady who took my order wasn't very nice though.. It was nice getting to try the free samples of apples, and other things. The watermelon sample wasn't sweet at all, so I ended up not buying a watermelon from here. There were a few vendors that had some cool things but I didn't end up buying anything. Totally not worth driving an hour for this event. Maybe I would come check out these fruit themed events if I lived closer. I ended up buying a watermelon at Costco instead..

    'Watermelon' donut.

Special baking sales and events are just a scam where they overcharge for a new product, e.g. 'watermelon donuts' but there's nothing new or accurate about it- just nasty colorants and crap to make it look special. It isn't. Other than that, produce is ok, they have some good jams and sauces. But boy, some of these kids they have working there are not very adept at costumer device.

Yummy pies and seasonal fruits. Apple ciders, wines and groceries. This is the stop to visit at Apple Hill.

Boa Vista Orchards has grass fed beef, free-range chicken, fruits, vegetables, apple beer, apple cider, apple wine, huge apple pies, etc.!

7/2/2026: Purchased blueberry pie, peanut brittle, and an organic seeded watermelon; however, I didn't buy a produce item costing $2.68! I don't know why the Cashier charged my card for an item I didn't buy!

Came here during their strawberry days and it was so fun! They had plenty of strawberry flavored items including pastries, jam, popcorn, and more! They had lots of produce and preserved veggies in jars! They also had a sample area where you could try various apples, pickled veggies, fudge and apple cider! We decided to have sweets before lunch and ordered their strawberry ice cream sandwich and strawberry pie! The strawberry ice cream and donut combo was delicious!! We would order it again in a heartbeat! The strawberry pie tasted like it was just strawberry jam as the filling and we didn't really like it much. Their burgers were so delicious and the sauce they offered were so good!! They had a chipotle and BBQ sauce that was so good that we regretted not asking if they sold it there to bring home with us! Can't wait to be back in the fall for more!!

Great place yo get some fruit, several different sauces ranging from fruity to spicy and in between. They have meats too, although they are on the more expensive side. The views surrounding Boa Vista Farms are amazing! They have pastries, ice cream, as well as hard cider and wine tastings! We got a couple pastries to try. Delish! We also did a 7 wine tasting! I wasn't super impressed with the wine, but they were decent. The staff is welcoming and helpful!

We came here last year for Blueberry Days and decided to make the trip up to Boa Vista again this year. All the products are fresh and always in stock. The blueberry donuts are really good and I cam never get enough of them. It's open all-year round with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Besides all the goodies you can find here, the location with all the beautiful scenery can not be beat. It's a great spot to get away and do some shopping while taking in the views. They also have wine tasting available and you cam try seven different varieties of your choice. I recommend the Pinot Noir and the 2020 Barbera.

Came back again for the strawberry days! Such a good treat and definitely worth the drive annually. Lines were long but definitely worth it.

Lots of parking, great Staff/service, and the selection of goods are endless. Restrooms are also very clean. The donuts I feel like are a bit overhyped, unless you really like the drier takes to donuts. The fresh apple cider is AMAZING.

Visited on Veterans Day (very busy, but luckily got a close parking spot. Be prepared for very long lines on holidays or weekends, especially in the fall. -a MUST try are the pastries! Highly recommend trying at least one kind of fruit dumpling. The apple cider donuts are amazing and can't be missed! -share a flight of their alcoholic fruit ciders and you won't be disappointed -10/10 Tri Tip sandwiches with their house made bbq sauce - tender with great flavor and the sauces are unique with apple essence -they have apple tasting stations and a huge store with apple flavored everything. A great place to go with family for a fun weekend day to try delicious foods and see the colorful changing leaves during fall.

Apple fritters and a variety of of Apple donuts

Drove here from Monterey and on a mission to get donuts so definitely wasn't leaving Apple Hill without them. Went to two other places and only this was open/selling freshly baked goods and bustling with people. Service was great; friendly and helpful people behind the donut counter. I always appreciate a warm smile. This place was busy, busy, busy in a town where most places are closed around this time.

Is there snow at Boa Vista? any chance the snow area across the street is open?

It is 54 degrees and raining so no snow. Generally there is no snow. Maybe you are thinking of Pollock Pines?

    Is it dog friendly?

As always you can’t bring your pets into food establishments. They can wait outside while you grab your refreshments.

Which 2 days are not opening?

Probably Thanksgiving and Christmas. Best to call and verify.

Do you sell frozen pies to take home?

They do! They have a huge freezer sections of a variety of pies. I think I saw apple, Dutch caramel apple, blackberry sour cream, and a few others

Can someone explain the process for ordering BBQ items and where the menus are?

When you're facing the bar where they sell apple cider in the market main bldg, walk to your right until you are in from of the doors to the right of the bar. If you see people standing to your left they are in line for the barbecue menu that…

    Is there sledding here?

Are you still making and selling apple donuts right now? I wasn't sure if anything had changed due to the new restrictions.

Great question.. We remain open regular hours of 7:30am - 6pm every day year round (closed Christmas) making apple donuts, pies, cider and much more.. Hope that helps!
