The sandwiches were much better than Subway. We tried the beef dip and the turkey. They gave us the wrong order the first time we went but they were quick to give us another one the next time we go. Parking was tricky since they are beside another restaurant and Trader Joe's. Will definitely try another sandwich the next time we stop by. read more

Tried this new place today during their soft opening. Was going to Trader Joe's anyways so this worked out fine. You walk in and order at the counter off of the overhead menu behind the counter. They give you a number and then you find yourself a place to sit. You can sit at the bar counter or any of the tables inside and outside, and they bring your order to you. Ordered the pastrami sandwich and one of their $3 grand opening beers. The pastrami sandwich was tasty, not fatty, and the French roll was fresh. Would give them 5 stars if there was more meat on the sandwich. There was actually more onions and salad peppers than there was meat. For $15, they need to put a little more meat. Went for the grand opening. The service was great. They were well organized and moved very quickly. The ambiance was cool and hip. They have a mini bar section. Really appreciate the whole vibe. But the food was so bland. The sandwich bread was stale and overall not that great. I've been to Ike's sandwich in Long Beach, Sub Culture in H.B. and several other places. Beer selections change almost weekly so it's always fun trying different flavors. They also sell cookies, potato salad, chips and salads which are filling and delish. If you're a fan of tuna, I highly recommend trying that here. That is also a favorite along with anything with guac. I love Board & Brew. This location is closest to my house. It is clean, quick and people are friendly! My only issue is that when I add bacon to a sandwich it's become a 50/50 shot if they actually add it or now. I've found that adding it to the notes as well as clicking the "add bacon" button is helpful. At $2 for bacon, I've definitely donated at least $10. read more

I really loved their sandwiches and their prices here. So it makes me sad to leave a negative review but to all the non pork eaters, beware of eating here. I specified twice that there was to be no bacon on my turkey sandwich and the guy at that counter confirmed it a 3rd time. After I took my second bite, I tasted something smokey and hard. I took it out my mouth and saw it was a piece of bacon. At first I thought maybe it was a cross contamination accident and there was left over bacon on the knife when they cut the sandwich. But once I opened the sandwich, I could see the bacon grease all across the sandwich then they remembered it was no bacon and took it off. Unfortunately there were bacon bits on both halves so I decided not to finish it. Thankfully this isn't a religious choice to not eat pork but a medical/stomach issue with pork. I'm bummed they didn't just remake the sandwich/inspect it a little closer to see if anything was left behind. Not to be dramatic but I won't be returning here. This felt a little too sneaky which isn't a nice feeling when it comes to food. If you eat bacon, I would still recommend this place. Like I said above, great food and great prices. read more

I have been wanting to check out Board & Brew! After doing some shopping at Trader Joe's next door I decided to grab a sandwich for dinner! When we entered the restaurant was very busy and bustling but we were able to order right away. We ordered some veggie sandwiches and chips. We went to look for a table open to sit and wait but everything was full except for one table that was filthy. The table had crumbs and sauce and trash all over it. We took a seat anyways and waited for our food. No one came over to try to clean the table, I completely understand it was busy but that still was not pleasant to sit at a dirty table. We finally got our sandwiches and took them to go. The sandwiches were loaded with veggies and not too bad. The extra sauce on the side was tasty and added to the sandwich. The food wasn't bad and the service was non existent. Maybe it will be better when it isn't as busy. I wish they had more veggie options in terms of sandwiches but the one option wasn't bad. read more

Been coming here for a while now, but had an occurrence with an employee today and my family was treated completely disrespectful. When we tried to have a conversation to resolve he was still very upset and didn't want to be civil. Food is mediocre wouldn't waste the bucks on half meatless sandwiches. Would recommend subway over this...will no longer be a customer here because of the constant attitude from employees. They're on their phones more than helping so recommend the manager do meeting to address these behaviors. read more
