Came here for lunch and had a beef dip sandwich and a side of potato salad. The sandwich was ok but the "french roll" wouldn't fool a real Frenchman. More toward the Wonder Bread range. The sandwich would have been so much better with a real crusty French roll. The potato salad was too large a serving and had the consistency of lumpy mashed potatoes. The horseradish sauce was a real surprise. It looks like the creamy kind with very little horseradish but, instead, it was one of the hottest I've ever had and, since I'm English, I've had my share. I think I'll go back and give this place one more shot and try the pastrami next time. read more

Welcome to new location at The Square in Cypress! I had tried Board & Brew in La Habra and loved it, this location was just as lovable! I love a good sammich and I am keen on a good pint of beer. This place has both. And TV's playing sports. And indoor and outdoor seating. And very nice employees who are very kind and welcoming. AND it is picky boyfriend approved because they will custom your sammich if you just want a simple turkey sandwich with no special fixings. Their sandwiches are fresh, huge and filling! I had their Honey Blonde Board and Brew beer, it was light and crispy and everything I need to finish a beer. I got the Cali Deluxe sandwich, 10/10 recommend. My mum got the Spicy Italian and she enjoyed it but will most likely get it without the Dijon mustard (her preference!) next time. And boyfriend got a custom turkey sandwich and he's also appreciative of them having Dr. Pepper since beer isn't his thing. We will be back read more

Yesterday was my 4th time eating at this establishment and each experience has been 5 star. First, every employee has been exceptionally polite, friendly and just nice to deal with. Second, the food is excellent. Have tried the beef dip and baja chicken sandwiches, both very tasty and filling. They don't have a lot of sides, basically potato salad and chips (not counting cookies as that is more of a desert). I always get the potato salad and it is excellent. They have beer too and although I have opted for soda so far, when the time is right it will be nice to have a cold beer. This place is new and looks it (in a good way). There is seating inside and a nice patio where you can relax as well as a small bar. I live not far away and you can bet I will be coming back many times over the next few years. Addendum: playing a Grateful Dead and a Led Zeppelin song during my dining was an extra bonus. read more

Very disappointed in our first ever experience to Board & Brew. We were so pumped waiting for it to open as I've heard great things about the food from my friends in South County. Unfortunately we ordered 3 different sandwiches to try and I specifically asked if they had regular mustard instead of Dijon and she said yes. I made sure to reiterate multiple times on all three sandwiches orders that we wanted regular mustard and by the time we got home with the sandwiches and tried them they all had that harsh Dijon taste and we didn't like it at all. I assume the sandwiches would've been good otherwise because it had a good amount of meat but we couldn't get past the taste of the Dijon. Probably won't go back. Sad read more

Came down to try this spot with my boyfriend and of course for the $3 craft beers the bar area is really small but everyone that works there are so sooo friendly which is hard to find these day on a restaurant. The sandwich was so good! Had a couple beers that were tasty too. Ate half my sandwich. Took the other half home, which I ate for lunch the next day and it was still very fresh and delicious. We sat at the counter and ordered food and drinks. The service was great as well! My girlfriend and I have visited this location several times over the last few months since we moved into the area.  This quickly became our favorite local spot to grab craft beers and good sandwiches.  However on 7/18/24 we were treated very disrespectfully by the bartender.  Yes, when we go there (or anywhere else) we tend to kiss a bit now and then.  Nothing crazy, no inappropriate touching.  But out of nowhere he came up to us and started yelling, cursing at us.  He claimed that we have been warned about our behavior before (we have not, I swear it).  He accused us of having an affair.  He asked us how old we are, not once but twice.  Despite apologizing and stopping, he came back at us with more verbal abuse and the check, telling us to finish our drinks and get out.  It was embarrassing to say the least.  Other patrons were staring.  We did not deserve to be treated this way, and if anyone had ever actually asked us to stop our behavior we would have done so.  We are good people.  After treating us that way, he had the audacity to complain about not receiving a tip.  Seriously?!  After that "customer service"??  We are both extremely disappointed, but unfortunately we will not be returning to this place for obvious reasons.  Time to look for a new regular spot. read more

Now I want to be careful with this so it's not perceived as a negative review. Hell I'm still giving 4 stars anyway. I have been here now probably about 5 times, my wife and I love the place. The people who work here are pushing Chik Fil A levels of friendly, but without the creepiness. Every time I've been here, the staff has been wonderful. I ordered delivery today (I had surgery and cannot legally drive with one good arm) and 2 things stuck out, ONE I could be completely wrong about but it felt like the sandwich was smaller than it was before and less filled? I could be wrong but it was just an observation. Second, in my photos you can see that my very first bite on the sandwich was a big piece of tunic (the part that covers an onion which is peeled) now you can see the piece of tunic is as wide as the sandwich itself which proves that either it was a very large piece of tunic or the sandwich did get smaller. HAVING SAID THAT. The sandwich was still delicious and I will be going back again. Hopefully they hold the tunic next visit. read more
