We haven't been here for a bit and this time our meal was really good. Not sure if they have changed chefs or what but everything we had was spot on. Started with calamari and a crab lobster dip and both were really good, the calamari the best of the two. my friend had halibut, I had scallops and shrimp gnocchi and my husband had prime rib. both the halibut and the gnocchi were absolutely delicious and plenty to bring home for later. My husbands prime rib wasn't as good but I think that was his fault for ordered it well done. Normally when the appetizer is presented the server asks for entree orders but our server dropped off the appetizer and then disappeared for at least 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn't even very busy (Monday). When she finally did return to take our order (now almost an hour from when we were seated) she told us they were out of many of the wines on the menu as well as being out of multiple entrées. We had reservations 8pm on Sunday evening and there was maybe 2-3 other tables. I had a Coke to drink and for my meal I ordered the Steak Thermidor as my meal. Birthday boy had a Coors Light and Steak Cavatappi. My fiancé said his Coors Light smelled weird/tasted weird. He liked his meal but choked on it 3 bites in and stepped out, he was gone most of our dinner date. *sad. But that was no fault of the restaurant. When he came back, he drank more of his beer and ended up choking more/spit/kinda threw up and didn't get to finish his meal. He said it was good though. Like an elevated Mac n cheese with Steak. The steak thermidor was great! The steak was VERY tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I had never had thermidor butter before but I liked it! It was creamy and light. Went perfectly with the lobster medallions and steak. I also asked for bordelaise sauce on the side for a little dipping variety. Unlike other reviewers, we have had great service, but recently the food quality has tanked. In the past, I have been satisfied with their prime rib and it has been consistently excellent - except for the past 2 visits. November visit, not sure why they would plate the prime rib because it was not even close to med rare. Asked the waitress and she said that there was no more left at 6pm?? I would expect this response at the end of the dinner shift when you get what is left. February visit, I took guests here and we all ordered the prime rib. This time we all received a grilled steak, seriously??. This was not a prime rib crusted and roasted, but a steak with grill marks, tough, chewy, internal fat and well seasoned. All of the prime ribs in our order were exactly like this. A true embarrassment for a restaurant of this perceived quality and price point. The only reason for a star rating would be from the past history they were excellent. The past 2 visits over 3 months show a definite trend to the bottom. I believe that if you offer prime rib, you should provide it, or take it off the menu. Please do not bait switch the orders. Nice dining experience! Beautiful restaurant with waterfront view, terrific service and food was delicious! Had Valentines Weekend in the hotel and hubby booked us dinner in the restaurant! Was lovely! Their Diablo Steak bites were so tender and flavorful, sushi was good! I could have stopped there, ordered their prime rib and had a few bites, delicious with the potatoes. Took off a Star for the sautéed mushrooms, presentation wasn't very good and too much wine flavor. Then the side of Brussel sprouts my husband ordered was massive, a tray of Brussel sprouts all for him! He barely made a dent in the massive tray, because I don't eat the vial little cabbage balls! Childhood horror memory with a mother who loved them and forced me to eat them! No thank you! There is nothing to love about those! We were stuffed to say the least! I have to admit that I am being a little petty. We asked for hot sauce and I noticed the lid was broken. No biggie... but as I joked to my wife while pouring it on my dish, it actually poured out. The inner spout was missing. Again, not that big of a deal as my steak dish (Diablo bites) was served in a soup like sauce/bowl and I saw right away what was happening. Cleanliness was beyond expectations. Environmental staff lurk quietly and unobtrusively in every corner. They are quick to quietly wipe down all touched surfaces. The women's bathrooms I used were immaculate and with surprising tech. (Auto cycling no touch seat covers) We had a meal at the seafood place and it was awesome. My only complaints are the restaurants have very limited hours, and finding the non smoking entrance was around back, and the times they were open were incorrect on the site. This is the closest you can get to a Seattle quality fine dining steakhouse on the west side of the sound, and it's cheaper too. Of course it's still going to run you $50-70 for a steak, but that's a bargain compared to equivalent restaurants in Seattle. I'd argue that this place is almost just as good as those but your bill will be 40% less. I had the calamari appetizer and probably should have expected it would be big enough to feed 3 people, but it was very nice with a smooth remoulade. The ribeye was delicious, tender, and seasoned beautifully. I substituted the dauphinois potatoes for the garlic Parmesan fries and those were equally indulgent in a more casual way. The reason for the 1 star reduction is the lobster mac and cheese. I honestly wasn't a fan of it because it was too sweet for my tastes. That can easily happen with lobster, but it's the only dish I couldn't finish, and I honestly could barely start. The pear cobbler dessert was also incredible and a nice sweet note to end the meal. I haven't even mentioned the server yet who was very personable and conversational if you so desired, but quite professional and excellent with recommendations, especially when dealing with portion sizes. Overall it's a worthwhile splurge if you want the best steak I've had west of the sound. read more

We were very excited to come here tonight for date night! There was a 30 minute wait for dine in so we went to the bar, Our waitress/bartender seemed new... her actions were stumbled and when watching her make the drinks, she was definitely a newbie. We got our bread and water fairly quickly but by the time we were ready to order our food, she was busy with drink orders. We waited... and waited some more then finally made eye contact with her in which she said "I'll be with you soon... the waitresses just gave me a laundry amount of drinks to make." We acknowledged the fact that she was by herself taking care of us 2 and one other person at the bar as well as being a bartender making the drinks so we waited some more. Waited..... and we were still waiting... and then we left. We left because me, being a server for over 10 years, knows that her priorities were incorrect. If she had a lot of drinks to make, she should have taken our food order and then proceeded to make the drink orders. Instead, she was very slowly making the drinks orders while we just sat there watching her for a very long time. We honestly expected more from this upscale restaurant and probably won't be back due to this experience or at least sit at a table and hope for the best. read more

I have dined here several times in the past and the food was a bit better than last night. I got the stuffed halibut with a potato, asparagus, and bread and butter. The bread was warm enough for the butter to spread easily but had a stale thing going on. Edible but not excellent. The halibut was super small but remarkably tasty. The asparagus and the baked potato I sent back. Asparagus looked a unique color not quite green and tasted awful. It was sad because I love asparagus usually. The baked potato was not only small and overcooked but ridiculously cold. They exchanged for spinach. Would have been good but someone cooking thought a very heavy hand on adding lemon to the saute spinach was a good idea. It wasn't! They sent me out another overcooked luke warm potato. The best part of this not so good experience was Johnathan my waiter. He was personable, attentive, on point with everything. Not his fault the food was subpar. All of the staff were good. It was a joy to see happy people giving good service in a time when restaurants are challenged to find enough caring and good employees. That level of customer service pushed my rating from zero to 2. I will go back because I am all about giving second chances. We visited the Clearwater Casino this afternoon. Our fist impression was that the parking was excellent. Once we walked inside from the East Parking Garage, we found ourselves in the smoking area of the casino. We quickly left that in the dust and found the majority was very well kept so we decided on The Clearwater for dinner. Everyone we encountered was on their game- the hostess found a table for us, in spite of the fact that we had no reservations. The servers were attentive & refilled waters, tea, & soda when they ran low. We faced the bay & had a wonderful meal of salads (both the baby spinach & the Caesar salads were phenomenal), and sushi. The sushi was a hit as well. Couple this with slots that paid out & this place deserves another visit- especially since we're free rolling on their bank. read more

The star for me was the olive bread and the French onion soup. The prices are reasonable for the food quality and ambiance overlooking the water is what makes living in the PNW awesome. I would recommend a refresh on the carpet and some of the fixtures as they seem to be showing their age. Looking forward to a nice meal I splurged and ordered the pork chop. After a long wait, I noticed a piece of hair!! in the smallest end piece (pork chop was sliced in pieces). I showed it to the waitress and she immediately "pulled the hair out" of the meat. I should have asked her then why she was doing that... shouldn't she bring it to the manager and show her? Anyway the manager came back and said, "I heard you say you had a piece of hair in your food. I can re-fire it for you." I felt like she didn't believe it. But why should she since the waitress got rid of the hair! Anyway long story short, cheap as they are, she only gave me 15% off my meal ($5.70). I left "0" tip. This Thanksgiving dinner could only have been worse if a car accident was involved. I was served a plate of rubbery, lukewarm random turkey bits made more interesting by the bits of skin and random tissue mixed in. The potatoes and stuffing were dry and cold, which is not surprising since the plate had obviously been sent through the microwave. They were consistent, though, as the quality of the service matched the quality of the food. At $50 per plate, I would expect better than a TV dinner experience, which is a bit misleading since the TV dinner likely would have been better and certainly would have been cheaper. We should have gone to Denny's. I am confident we would have gotten better food and a friendlier server. If you are looking for a place for a holiday meal, hit up your closest drive thru or 7-11. You'll save a few bucks and at least your expectations will be low enough to not be disappointed. read more

The ambiance gives the appearance of a four star restaurant unfortunately the service quickly make it clear you're not. Our reservation was on time, seated water and bread basket arrived. Shortly after our waitress came and asked if we were ready to order our food .She took the food order and we asked/ added drinks on at the end of food order. The salads arrived quickly. Still no drinks. I've been here several times and each time I swear I won't be back due to the service I've had good service but its more miss then hit! Most of the waitstaff's is not trained to accommodate the restaurant. Not taking or bringing drinks/food in proper order. Ignoring customers instead of dealing with time delays etc. Not offering dessert just walking by and dropping check at table. Taking several people to come to your table to pay bill if it's not strictly cash. The lousy service really hits hard when you're paying a couple hundred for a what should have been a good peaceful meal. The food is good if you can get through it. read more

Well I hate to say this place probably gets my lowest rating. Let's see the decor is fine for being on the smaller side. I'm use to seeing heavy wooden tables and chairs at a steak house. This place has tables that belong in a conference room and the chairs in a Khol department store. Most of the food pictured on Yelp is outdated. Meaning my server had to say "that's not here anymore because of Covid." So be aware that dish you're looking for might be off the menu. Our server was great. He had to handle 16 people covering two tables pretty much by himself and for the dishes that got sent back (2 total) he tried his best to correct them. Unfortunately for me, I didn't really check the bill. I paid for the expensive entrees listed instead for the much cheaper replacements. Casino gets you one way or the other. I got the rib eye and you can tell it a cheap price of meat. It was thin with some marbling but not savory at me for me. Overall three stars. The service was great. The food average. Wow we went here to celebrate my sisters birthday and I didn't go in with high expectations because of the ratings I've seen on here but oh man, I was so happy with our meal. The bread they brought out, sourdough with rosemary, was delicious. Started with the Kitsap sushi roll and it was pretty good. Not the best I've had but definitely not bad. For dinner we had the prime rib and it was bommmmb. The lobster mac? Bangin. The crab cakes were simply shmackin with that garlic aioli. Whats not to love about mashed potatoes with Beachers cheese? And you can not sleep on their sautéed spinach, it was so good, I cant wait to try to replicate it at home. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was such a sweetheart. Attended the free meal for military veterans on 11/7. As a veteran who served 30 years, I felt like being fed as a homeless. Food was not presentable on paper pkates, bland and did not meet my expectations. Shipbiard food and service are much better. Considering the hotel/resort is a 3-star or whatever, K didn't feel well respected nor honored by the way food and services were rendered to the well-reswell-reswell-respected veterans. But We started with their delicious sourdough bread and I ordered the crab cake appetizer as well. The crab cake was deliciously fresh and served with a nice aioli sauce. The outside was crispy but the inside could have used a little more filler for me. But I wouldn't argue because the flavor was delicious!!! We got to choose a salad and I got the house speacial which was sweet with slices of apple, pecans, parm shreds with a pear dressing. The steak and shrimp were both grilled to perfection! (Medium). I took a bite of the wife's prime rib was decent. We don't use horseradish but she enjoyed it with the au jus. I didn't try the potatoes but I noticed they were served with turkey gravy. Our 3rd course was supposed to be gelato but we were pleasantly surprised when the waiter offered us chocolate cake, gelato, cheesecake, or crème brûlée. We both got the crème brûlée so delicious perfect crisp with raspberry and blueberry top. This is the perfect place to spend just the right amount for a nice 3 course dinner or choose from the menu. The dining was very nice in the Clearwater but the food could have used some tweaks. The green beans were pretty undercooked and I didn't taste the cheesy flavor from Beechers cheese but neither was horrible. The service is pleasant and the ice cream was absolutely delicious! The salad was really fresh with apples and nuts on top. My filet was good but wanted the mashed potatoes to be just a bit cheesier since they boasted beechers flagship cheese. The house red was a nice addition to our meal after it breathed a bit and bonus, it was $3 off since we got 2 meals.
