Looking for a place along the waterfront and found this place. The location is kind of hidden away and limited parking close by but you can't beat the view of the sound and Tacoma Narrows bridge. It was a Friday night and luckily the 3 in our party was over 21 so we got to sit in the bar area. Our waiter was very knowledgeable but also the bartender. Menu had great options and pricing was to be expected for the location. I was excited about the deep fried pickles when I asked if spears or chips but I guess now I should ask if it's "dill or sweet" because these were sweet. I'm not a fan of sweet pickles but I ordered them so was gonna finish. I love clam chowder and this one did not disappoint! The garlic bread was crispy but had too much garlic (there is such a thing lol). My other 2 companions were satisfied with their choices as well. Take me back to Boathouse 19! I cant get enough of this place! From the stunning views of the Narrows bridge to the perfect patio seating, I loved the vibes here and it's the perfect place to soak up some sunrays during a WA summer season. Regarding our meal, for lunch I had the Hawaiian Poke Salad. Yum Yum YUM! This dish took me back to Hawaii and gave me all the feels. The fish was fresh and the dressing was light. Perfect meal to make me not too full. Service as great too. I asked our server how long the seasonal desserts were going to last and she took the time to ask the chef to make sure I wouldnt miss out on an opportunity to try them. Seriously, their seasonal berry desserts are to die for. If I only had those desserts for the rest of my life, I would be a happy girl! I wish they kept them all year long, but I recommend trying one before the end of summer if they still have them. Food was 10/10. Crab dip was probably the best I've ever get had. The fish sandwich was well breaded, not greasy and fresh. Service was 10/10 (Eva did great). We were really picky with wanting to watch the wnba finals and she allowed us to control one of the tv's. Also was not without water, she was very attentive. I came here on the 4th of July for my wife's birthday. This was our 3rd time here. There wasn't a lot of people inside so we were able to be seated quickly. It was beautiful day outside so the sunlight shined throughout the restaurant. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger and fries. I had this before but this time it tasted better. Not sure if it was a new cook or recipe but I wished I had another one. My only downside is the menu. There aren't a lot of things I'd normally choose to eat. We visited at about 3pm on a weekday, low customer flow, and we were the only table who was seated on the other side of the walls (away from the gorgeous view). In hindsight I should have asked to move. Maybe it was shift change time, perhaps the windows were reserved, maybe that was just the server rotation, but the table made the service feel meh. My daughter and myself drove from North Snohomish county to pick up my mother in Puyallup to have an "after Mother's Day" Mother's Day just for us, separate from the family party we already had. The food was wonderful, the view of the marina and the Narrows bridge amazing (we went recently in May so the weather was too cold and windy for the outside seating but still went on the deck for a few minutes to take a look) Service was wonderful and attentive- but not too much as to be disruptive. I like that the tables aren't so close together that you're practically sitting with other customers. My only complaint was that the napkins smell like old kitchen/cooking oil and since the utensils are wrapped in the napkins, they pick up the smell (and it also transfers to the skin when wiping the mouth). I don't know if the table napkins are laundered with kitchen towels but they shouldn't be. read more

Stay for a long chat with an old friend. 2. Food is okay but nothing stood out to me. Very standard New American fare. I got the fish taco and chowder combo. (I am from San Diego so my fish taco snobbery is high.) I think it was actually a good wrap but I would not call it a taco. It had a thick flour tortilla, almost like a pita. I have been here a few times for happy hour, dessert, and date night dinner. They serve delicious cocktails and good food. I like trying the different seafood options and seasonal menu items. Service was soooo bad. Our server, Dominique was all chummy to start and made some inappropriate comments/criticisms when we asked to be seated differently. She then basically ignored us for a very long time before ordering and then clearly was annoyed when I simply said -- after literally 10 minutes with empty glasses -- "we're really thirsty!" After I arrived it took almost 15 minutes for a host to acknowledge me. The atmosphere was nice with open seating and rustic boathouse decor. There was an open kitchen, indoor seating, a bar area, and outdoor seating. Took awhile to order once seated. The bar staff was not too friendly on this visit. However, The food was definitely worth the wait! Great Ceasar salad, awesome bread, and strong cocktails turned this visit around. Great atmosphere - super pretty views and a cool vibe in this place. The service was great so, very attentive and she really seemed like she enjoyed her job. The dock in stars is for the food. I has the salmon tacos and while the tortilla was great, the salmon was way over seasoned and dry. They'd try to cover that up with some coleslaw, but it was still dry. My husband had the crab salad and it was such a sad looking salad....the crab was bland and the romane was borderline at best. With such a focus on fried foods it seems like it might be a good place to have some apps and drinks, but I wouldn't go back for lunch or dinner. read more

Took a while to get service going. And after we ordered and our food was delivered, it was impossible to get the attention of anyone to ask questions, order something else, etc. Frustratingly so. I'm told this is a common experience there. Service is pretty paramount in a restaurant service, so it really affected our dining experience. For dinner I ordered the chicken Caesar and it was delicious one of the better chicken Caesars I've had in sometime, however it was $22. I know food costs are high for restaurants, but that just seems unreasonable. The service was great and very attentive and friendly. All of the staff were great from the hostess to server to management staff onsite. The restaurant could use a little update on the inside but still a decent place to eat. It came out hot and was delicious!! It was coffee was some Bailey and kahlua. We ordered fried oysters, weeds salad, and a cup of tomato soup. THE TOMATO SOUP WAS AMAZING!! And addicting! Which is how I knew it had dairy in it! LOL!! I didn't finish it but maaaan I would take a whole container home if I could. But on to the weeds salad, it was nice, light, crisp, and refreshing BUT THAT DRESSING THOUGH!!! THAT CITRUS DRESSING THOUGH!!!!.....baybay let me tell you something, that dressing is slap yo mama good. I'm going back just for the salad dressing. Seriously lol.
