I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday with just the two of us. It might be helpful to reserve ahead since tables ate socially distant. All waiters and staff have their masks and tables are sanitized before diners are seated. Menus are single used paper or you can scan a QR code for it. I ordered the crispy fish sandwich and it lived up to its name. It is indeed crispy with a much crunch. The fish was flaky and had good flavor. Would be nice to have some lemon on the side too. I finished the sandwich very quickly. I had the corn salad on the side and it was okay, wished I just got the fries. The corn salad consisted of (most likely canned roasted) corn, cilantro, and tomatoes. It was fresh and summery but I think fried suited this dish more. It was my friend's birthday and I encouraged her to get a dessert. The waiter overheard and said they have a brownie sundaes for free for birthday guests. It was delicious with a dense chocolate brownie with ice cream and whipped cream. Can't really go wrong with that dessert. read more

This place always seems to be busy. I also believe they are always understaffed, especially since the BIG-C word. It can require a lot of patience...ALOT. The servers and bartenders are all really sweet albeit always busy. However, once you get your drinks and you soak in the view and atmosphere, I always let the little slights go away. On some items, the portions are very small (fish & chips), but the cod is incredibly fresh and delicious. My husband absolutely loves their calamari appetizer that comes with crispy sweet onions. The Caesar salad is delicious (one of the better Caesars in the area). This place is not cheap, I consider it at least a $50 per person restaurant, so soak in the views and chillax. read more

Finally got to visit this place! I always stop by The brewery which is right above but I had never actually been to this restaurant. Outside and we're able to get the umbrella moved, and the food service was at a normal or slow speed. However we got our drinks right on time! The food was delicious and reminded me of Home... also the jam has this little kick to it. It was really good, and would definitely recommend! This is a good spot for a quick bite, larger groups, work thing, or just meeting someone up to catch up! read more

I've been meaning to try Boathouse 19 for a while but I've never randomly driven past and thought..."oh yeah." Now I see why. It's at the end of south 19th. So, follow 19th to the west until you cross the railroad tracks. Then, turn right and park. B19 is a lovely restaurant with a great view. My friend and I went on a Sunday night and I was surprised how many people were there. And here I was thinking I knew how to party. The bartender, Michael, came over to take our orders. He had a great attitude and just the right amount of questions. I haven't had that enjoyable of a bartender/waiter in a very long time. He gets 5 stars. B19 is on top of getting the food out! My friend had shrimp and I had a fish sandwich - both really good. The only things I didn't enjoy was my side of slaw. I'm not a fan of vinegar based slaw, I much prefer Carolina style or Texas. I also didn't like the noise level but not sure how they could fix that. Hire a librarian, maybe? I'm not a fan of the parking lot situation. As a woman who likes to go out alone, the parking lot didn't feel safe to me. There's not much going on down near B19 and the brewery there. Kinda dark and a lot of parked cars. read more

I ordered the Salmon Tacos, hubby got the 3 piece Cod, daughter got Salmon BLT, friends got Calamari, cheese curds, salmon tacos, mahi mahi tacos all would rate 8 overall. Chowder was not great, too much celery. So between a 4 on the chowder and a 9.5 on calamari, we give it an 8. Also, mixed drinks were phenomenal. Service was a 10, we had Leah, she was excellent. Service is great, the only downfall is they don't take reservations so just be prepared to wait on a sunny weekend. Boathouse was purchased by the restaurant conglomerate than owns all the Anthony's locations, and a handful of other restaurants. 20 restaurants total? Something like that. This was our first visit since the sale, despite being regulars for the past 7 years. The menu has been pared down drastically. I would say maybe half of the dishes are gone. Most of the "favorites" remain, so I guess that's good. I was a big fan of their fish fry. If you look through my pictures, you can see a before and after of the two-piece fish fry. The one I took in 2021 featured huge pieces of fish that were freshly battered and fried. If you scroll through my photos, you will see the current offering uploaded March 2022 for comparison. The pieces of fish look more like chicken tenders. The pieces of fish are much smaller (but the prices stayed the same). The fried coating is not as delicious, or crispy as it used to be. This is a TOUGH region to serve an average fish fry in. We also got a poke salad and clams. They were OK. Not really spectacular. The clams should have been served with a slice of toasted bread. Overall this is definitely a step down from the food and quality we have enjoyed over the years. The location is insane, so we may probably be back occasionally to "wow" visiting family members. For better food we'll start going other places though. read more

The views are incredible. Very nice to be able to pull up in your boat and dock to walk in. The food is good, not great. The service is lacking. We had to ask waiters and waitresses that were not our waiter or waitress for help many times. We asked our waitress for the check when we were done eating and it took her over 25 minutes to get it to us. We had a hard time getting refills for drinks as well. This is a nice casual place to enjoy some drinks and food near the water. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, you can't go wrong! I also ordered the lemon meringue cocktail and it was good, but kind of small considering the price. My sister, cousin, and I enjoyed our time here, maybe mostly because of the cocktails. Their cocktails were tasty. And our waitress was excellent, and very friendly. The food was decent. My cousin loved the Steamed Clams appetizer. She wanted to drink the broth like it was soup. My cousin and I both got the Pike Place Fish Fry Combo, which came with fried Alaskan Cod, Calamari, and Prawns. It wasn't too bad, just wish the batter didn't fall off so easily. My sister got the Crispy Fish Sandwich. It was a bit hard for her to enjoy, because the fish was kind of slim compared to the bun, so more bread than fish, and the batter on the fish was falling off easily. My sister kept raving about the Blueberry Lemon Drop, even when we got home; she loved it. We'd definitely want to come back for happy hour and more cocktails. read more

We we're at Boathouse 19 with friends tonight and I ordered the wild salmon salad. The salad was delicious but the salmon was literally cold and raw! Michael was our server and when my husband told him about the salmon, he immediately took it and replaced the salad with a new one, with no charge for either! I do not like complaining or sending food back for any reason. Michael was probably the best server we have met in a very long time ! This is a busy restaurant and I know servers work very hard to make the dining experience a positive one for people...Michael definitely did this for us and we will be back! A great sunny March day has us wanting to sit outside for drinks and a meal, so we headed over to Boathouse 19. They only had a few tables set up outside because it's early in the outdoor season so we had a 20 minute wait. Waiting is not bad at all when you can stop in the neighboring brewery (Narrows). Happy hour is from 3-7pm everyday of the week. The happy hour includes select cocktails and drafts. Unfortunately, the happy hour prices for appetizers only work in the bar area. We opted to try fried calamari, salmon dip and fried pickles ( a "secret" menu offering). All were good sized portions for sharing and great. For dinner, I had the china town chicken salad. The salad was good size, with really tasty sesame soy dressing. The bowl of salmon corn chowder was large and very rich. The last dish was the jambalaya which was another big portion. Our service was a bit slow as our waitress appeared to be taking care of patrons inside mostly. Food came out quickly but didn't get checked on quickly. We had to run our check in to pay after waiting for a while. read more

Oof! I'm reviewing Boathouse19 as an ex-Anthony's employee of years, that knows to expect at an Anthony's establishment. Which is why we chose it. We waited 45 min for table, which seemed reasonable on a Saturday afternoon, until I walked in and saw 12 tables open in this small restaurant, and more front of house staff than I've ever seen at any anthony's establishment. The meal prices were as expected but the food was not. All 3 of us ordered off the "big plate" menu for dinner. 2, 2 piece cod meals and 1 pan fried oysters meal. For full meal prices it was something you'd see on a kids menu. 2 pc of small cod and a small 5oz bowl of slaw. No rice pilaf, no fries. Same experience with my oysters. 8 tiny pan fried oysters with a 5oz slaw. "Big plate" menu does not mean just the plate should be big, it means we'd like to eat dinner. When looking around to order a different drink for my mother and fiancé, the staff were gathered 4 to table talking and watching one person buss the table and 4 other staff gathered at the kiosks talking. When a server did walk by, I asked them to kindly grab my server please, he agreed and then proceeded to not do so. 10 min later, after we had finished our snacks that were supposed to be dinner, we flagged him down. Meanwhile, a cook approaches a benched table right behind us with other staff sitting, (yep, apparently includes hanging out at tables) cussing up a storm. This was the worst 161$ I have ever spent. We left hungry and agitated. 45 min wait with ample staff that seemed more interested in socializing, food that was laughable and drinks that were not great. Honestly was surprised by how much we enjoyed our meal here today. We have been here a few times, but don't tend to gravitate here much. We arrived close to opening on a Sunday (noon) and had a good view out the windows of the narrows and the pouring rain! The atmosphere was cozy, clean, festive for Halloween. I appreciate that they have a variety of items, from seafood to burgers. The fries were really crispy and delicious, which to me is a very big deal. The kids menu was better than most as well, with a bunch of options and a fun coloring spread. Service was great as well, and that cannot be understated right now. Drinks and food came out prompt and server came by frequently to check in. My one complaint, and it holds true for many places around here, but is that they don't offer a lot of local seafood. Lobster dip? Mahi Mahi tacos? They did have salmon, but I question if it's even wild or for that matter local. Would love to see Dungeness crab dip and rock fish tacos instead! read more

The main menu was not interesting, we ordered the salmon, a prawn salad and tacos, a little expensive in my opinion. The customer service was lacking. There was a Seahawks game and the waiter was distracted, never filled our waters or checked up on us once, just did the bare minimum. Have not been here since last review, that being said my partner wanted oysters, chilled, however this seafood establishment only had fried, however I had started with the New England Clam Chowder which was thick like I like it and tasty as well, we shared a steamer clams plate which were good we get them to soak up the sauce with the sourdough bread and they were tasty, I ordered the top sirloin and it was done correctly and never have I had smashed baby reds and I might have to order them more often, Amaya was a great server and was very polite and checked on us just at the right times, was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon closer to dinnertime, will give them another try in the near future, however for now off to chilled oysters elsewhere. read more

I came to boathouse 19 restaurant for the first time and the staff is VERY friendly. My table to clean before I sat down and it was near a window. The staff ALL are wearing their mask. Nobody is rushing you out at all. I got The combo: Cod, Prawns and Calamari with Cajun fries. I also had a Strawberry Mamosa. Everything was very good and HOT! My waiter was AMAZING!
