On a recent visit back home, I was craving Bob Evans! I mean I went there so many times as a child. This location is in the front of the shopping plaza that also has Walmart and Five Below. Free and ample parking! I ordered the honey chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. It was delicious! The strawberry lemonade was just okay but my meal was good! I'm glad to see that the menu is still reasonably priced and the portions are fair! I will be returning on my next visit home. read more

Food was alright and wait wasn't very long for a holiday, when sitting down I immediately realized that our table was sticky which as a place that has pancakes it's the least of our concern but our server was most definitely under influence and asked us for our drinks twice after only taking one of our drinks then apon bringing me my coffee I ordered they hadn't put cream in it so I asked for cream. This worker stood here and tried to convince me that my Carmel mocha cold brew was chocolate milk and not a coffee and that it didn't need cream. Also when I took a bite out of my eggs I got a mouthful of shells which made me lose my appetite and leave. Well, this place was a major buzzkill for a couple of starving travelers. Seated promptly, served coffee promptly, then placed our orders. Now we wait as our empty section fills up, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, a half hour and the table next to us which sat 15 minutes after we did gets served. All we ordered were a biscuit & gravy, and an omelet. I said F it, and asked for the check for the two coffees. (They at least comped the coffees.) Guess they lost the order, I was hangry and behaved in less than my usual courteous manner but, screw it. Make hungry people wait that long and then serve other tables first? You reap what you sow. All that aside, I have no idea if their food's any good or not. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Manager Megan runs a friendly and hard working crew, and she fills in where needed. Short of help, she only seats the number of people the staff can comfortably handle. And that's good. Upon entering you may wait fifteen minutes to be seated, but the wait is worth it. Service was fast. Food was delicious. Hubby and I each had a protein bowl. He had the double meat breakfast bowl with home fries and toast. I had the veggie bowl with avocado, tomatoes, home fries and a biscuit with honey. Banana bread was an option. The music was nice. The room was peaceful. It was wonderful. When I saw this restaurant had 2 stars I thought twice, but I gave it a chance. Probably one of the worst breakfasts I've had in awhile and our waitress was the opposite of cheery. I ordered steak and scrambled eggs. My eggs were undercooked, which is very odd and off putting. Others in my party got pancakes and they liked theirs, though, as well as the biscuits. I will not be going back to this particular Bob Evans. Upon arrival, I waited in line to put my name in with the hostess - and she completely skipped over me and started taking the names from the couple behind me. I waited until she was done, and then I told her "I'm here too" and gave her my name - she apologized. After being seated, the waitress asked for our orders, but we had not looked over the menu yet and needed more time. She came back 35 minutes later to finally take the order. Then, when the food arrived, they had gotten my friends' order wrong. The waitress corrected the issue. As we were eating, I noticed fruit flies pestering my friend; I looked around and noticed about 20 bugs plastered all over the wall/artwork hanging over our booth. I let the waitress know and she stated she would inform management. As we were getting ready to leave, my friend asked for a box, but the waitress took too long to get back to us so we ended up leaving. There was also no soap in the bathroom - an employee had come in to change it previously, and left the keys in the soap dispenser, but never came back. I take it back. Things have improved here. Staff are friendly. The restaurant and facilities look cleaner. And they have saved my family from many a night when home cooking was not an option, as many working parents would figure. This restaurant used to have service. I've witnessed an employee ask if she could help bus tables, a manager said no we're fine. We've not had a drink for 15 minutes, and are still waiting for food. I understand it's busy, but there are 9 people standing at the counter, appears to be 5 people in the back and no one checking on anyone's drinks. It was better when they left the carafe of coffee, but they don't do that anymore so they can interact more with customers. That's crap. Hope the food is at least warm... I simply do not get this bob Evans. The service here is by far the worst I have ever seen at bob Evans. The servers are rude. They don't care about the tables. I just don't get it. Every single time I have been to this one, every single time, I have encountered bad service. Badly cooked food, bad servers, everything. This last visit we were sat by one server, since both hosts, another server and the manager were all out the check out counter helping what looked like one or if they were not together two customers. Another server took our drink order. And the server who was supposed to take our main order never appeared, the excuse was given that she had a big party in the other section. First of all why are giving a server a party in one half of the restaurant and seating them in the other? Where is the logic in that? Finally after inquiring about where are server was we got yet another server who seemed very not busy and uninterested in our table. I asked what kind of soup he had. His response was. O we have everything on there. really? Even though the menu says selections may vary and often times says ask your server. He did not refill our drinks and pretty much vanished. Where was the manager in all this? Standing at the counter people can sit at and eat and talking with what I assume is a regular customer. He never walked around the place asking how every ones meal was. Just stood their talking. On an earlier visit my pasta was so over cooked it was inedible. Almost like eating gum. If you like Bob evans avoid this one like the plague. Try the one in solon or twinsburg. read more

I work for a company in Solon and planned a breakfast for the employees. Meghan the manager was super helpful and pleasant to work with. I ordered 22 individual meals to be picked up at two different times. All of the orders were individually bagged with the name of the person who belonged to the order on it. All of the orders were perfect and on time for pick up. Personally I frequent this Bob Evans and have never had a bad meal or experience, even though they are very understaffed. This is my favorite local Bob Evans. I love the broasted chicken and the mashed potatoes with country gravy. The Pumpkin Supreme Pie is a seasonal favorite of mine and I really enjoy the double chocolate chip pancakes due to the chocolate chips being Ghirardelli. Pink pork and wet uncooked eggs. The manager's excuse was that the cook was new. If this was a one- time experience I wouldn't Yelp about it. This is my third bad meal here. I won't be back and suggest you skip it. There is a reason why there are no cars in the parking lot. Bob Evans is a popular chain in the midwest. If you want basic sausage, homefries and eggs, you will be satisfied. Omelets have slipped a bit. They sell basic hearty comfort food for lunch and dinner. Their sweet and sour salad dressing is very yummy and available for sale to take home. Biscuits and honey are not to be missed. They are trying to introduce healthier items, but they generally are not exciting to taste. Service has always been attentive and friendly. The staff is always friendly and the food to be as expected but, trying their new "prime rib" was a cruel joke. For thirteen bucks (I understand the issue already), I was provided something that resembled the hide of an elephant. The choice was "pink" or, "no pink". As would most, I chose "pink". Apparently that means if there is a semblance of pink anywhere, that counts. The website also stated that it would be "au jus". Do not be fooled! You will receive minimal pink, if any, and no jus. To clarify the thirteen dollar comment, this weighs in at 6oz. tops. You can actually score decent rib roast in the area, with more weight, for only three dollars more. I do not expect true prime grade but, give a fair portion, provide what was promised, and for all that is holy in food, cook meat properly! Have mercy, I have been bamboozled! read more

Today is Memorial day so we expected it to be a little crowded. Upon getting there the entire wait area was full. We were told a 10 minute wait as we would have went elsewhere with 2 hungry and restless toddlers. It was about a 25 minute wait then another 10 once we got seated. When they took us back, more than half of the restaurant was open so it was confusing as to why we waited so long with so many open tables and booths. They didn't seem short staffed but there was a lot of hustle going around. Waitress was kind of ditzy: had a hard time taking our order and came back several times with questions (you wanted eggs, right? What did you want to drink again?). I'm sure she was super busy so we weren't upset but she wrote it all down. With a lot going on, we tried to be understanding. Food came out as expected. I asked for over hard eggs and ended up with sunny side up, but otherwise food was good. Had a rough time getting drink refills, but again, it was sort of busy so not entirely her fault. Coffee was lukewarm but we didn't send it back due to the amount of people and time it took to get everything. Checkout was easy and fast. Staff was friendly but distracted. Not a bad place: your standard Bob Evans. Bathrooms were lacking in cleanliness. Mens room was out of paper towels and women's room had dirty floor and smelled awful.
