Very nice experience. We were immediately greeted by a very nice lady as we walked into the restaurant. It was a Sunday around 4pm, so place was practically empty. Our waiter, Koron, was prompt on greeting us at the table. As we were ordering he offered up suggestions that helped us out. He was very friendly but professional, and kept checking up on us, asking if we liked various items that we had ordered. The food was good and we did not have any complaints. I've been to this restaurant many, many times over 15+ years. This is a summary review of all of that time & not just from one occurrence. This used to be a good restaurant with good food & good service. It seems that ever since COVID, this restaurant has gone downhill & never recovered. Service is always slow because the floor is consistently (obviously) understaffed. VERY rarely is there a good server. Most of the time, waitstaff do not check on you & only come to your table when they have to. On our most recent visit, I had to actually get out of my seat to ask any waitstaff I could find for utensils after being served coffee, requesting utensils from our server, & still waiting 10 minutes with no utensils while watching the server do other tasks. The coffee was cold by the time I got a spoon. Food is always slow to get out, and not because the restaurant is packed. The food itself is now a mediocre version of what it once was. It's ok, not great. On our most recent visit, the area we were seated in had no other patrons. The tables around us had not been cleaned & there was food & trash on the tables. Only by the end of our meal did anyone even bother coming over to clean them up, even though the restaurant had emptied out a lot before we got our food. Every time we go to this location, I know it's going to take 1.5 hours from start to finish even with no wait to get in (which is ridiculous). The only reason I have been occasionally in the past few years is because my child likes it. The next time he wants to go, I'm going to have to say no. Disappointed, and I rarely complain about food and services. It took 45 minutes for my order to arrive, and the food was cold when it did. The chicken was so hard that it was inedible. The only response from the manager was, "We will cook it more next time." I spent nearly $70 for one adult and two kids on disappointing food. The service was below average, with servers standing around and coming in occasionally, asking if I wanted more coffee as they delivered cold meals to the table. Though we've passed different Bob Evans restaurants countless times, this was our first time to visit. I got "The Whole Hog" breakfast, and my wife got chicken fried steak. The breakfast was 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 sausage links, a big slice of ham, a pancake, and a slice of French toast. Lordy!!! Not only was it more food than I could possibly eat, but it was also delicious. The French toast was the best I've had in my life. My wife loved her chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green beans. She also had the pomegranate and (something) juice drink, which she also enjoyed. Always a must stop for the biscuits and gravy when we're in the Raleigh/Durham area. Biscuits are still some of the best I've had anywhere in the country. Sausage gravy set the standard years ago. Mid-afternoon when we stopped, so we were seated immediately and brought menus and beverages. As both of us had a light meal at noon, we both ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I added on a side of ranch potatoes. I think I actually enjoyed the potato dish the most. They were basically baby potatoes smashed and fried to a nice crisp, topped with bacon, cheddar, ranch, and green onions. While the biscuits were still fresh and great, I think the gravy was a little less than fresh. Still good, but a bit thin. Service was great. Looking forward to our next trip to the area. read more

My family and I stopped by to have a meal. My son is handicapped and he is wheelchair bound. After we were seated the manager, Belinda, came over to the table and asked to get my son out of his wheelchair. She helped him get unbuckled and then she pulled him from his wheelchair and took his wheelchair and placed it out of sight. If my child did not need a wheelchair he would not have been in one at that time. After this I went to locate the wheelchair and placed my son back in his wheelchair and we left. He was very upset and crying. I was crying. It is unacceptable to go into a restaurant that has four handicapped parking spaces and be treated this way. Handicapped people are a valuable asset to our society. They are not here to be abused by a manager of a restaurant. Later, when we returned home my child had bruises caused by the manager pulling and lifting him out of his wheelchair. It is clear to me now why this restaurant is never very busy. Terrible service from our waitress Deja. Place was dead. 4 of us at our table and only one couple at another table. Once seated, Waited 10 minutes before to be told our waitress would be back in a few minutes to get our order. Food came out timely but both wildfire chickens salads had just a few pieces of chicken. Less than half of what I'm used to. When we asked if this was the usual amount of chicken we were told yes and dismissed immediately. Once we started eating we didn't see Deja for quite some time. We were waiting on rolls and asked for more salad dressing and water refills. Finally once we saw her come out of the back we waved her down. When we asked about the rolls her response we are now closed and out of rolls!? We were confused as it was 7:55 and we checked the hours on maps prior to heading to Bobs and showed it closed at 9. We just said oh ok and asked if we could get the water refills. Another 10 minutes goes by and she comes back with a pitcher and proceeds to angrily fill water cups up and overflows the cup and water spills all over the table. Not an oops, a sorry or even the action of wiping up the water. She just turned and walked away. I'm sick of interacting with service people with terrible attitudes and an overall grumpy disposition. I can't even review the food from this place. I'm visiting the area for business and my hotel is right next door so I thought I'd stop by for lunch after a busy morning. Walked in the door and no one greeted me. No one was at the counter. I could see someone across the restaurant and made eye contact a couple times but she didn't move to greet me or catch the attention of anyone else who could/would. Eventually she walked into the back. I could see another employee in the kitchen area. At least two employees saw me standing at the entrance and ignored me. I was by myself so perhaps they thought I was waiting for a pickup order and didn't bother coming to seat me. There was probably only 4 patrons seated at tables because it was around 2 in the afternoon. Eventually I turned around and walked out. Straight up favorite eatery- easily accessible from I-40 and I-85 and very conveniently located close to several amenities- accommodations, malls, restaurants, hospitals, etc. The menu is versatile. You can order breakfast anytime and the Linch/dinner menu offers several choices. Not a fancy restaurant but tastefully decorated- Eat in and take out available. My cold chicken salad/ fruit option was so good- it had cantaloupe, grapes and strawberries added. My husband had the turkey dressing option- again very good. The hostess and server were courteous and checked on us frequently. No alcoholic beverages available. We bought a banana nut bread loaf to take with us- it was very good. My dining partner and I were very pleasantly surprised (especially given the now-seemingly-overcritical reviews here). The restaurant was brightly lit, and airy. We were seated quickly. Positives: + Diverse menu. I took quite some time to look not just at the MANY breakfast item combinations but also at some of the other dishes. + Healthy options. It's a place known for pork and beef, but I was impressed to see the option to substitute for turkey sausage, for healthier eggs, for low-calorie syrup, whole-grain pancakes, lots of fruits, etc. + Service. Our server checked on us repeatedly and was extremely pleasant. Food orders came fast and exactly as requested, too. + Taste. We both really liked our dishes (she had a mushroom/ onion omelette and I had a combo with eggs, pancakes, and fruit). I was also pleased that the pineapple in the fruit cup was "fresh" pineapple and not something poured out of a Dole can. + Price. Many inexpensive options, including a special today of all you can eat pancakes for under $5. I've also seen coupons for discounts in various mailings. Negatives: - No big ones... the dishes were all quite good but perhaps not the most creative, and ambiance may not suit everyone (kind of like "Cracker Barrel"), but I found both fine. I've actually never been to Bob Evans restaurant but this Thanksgiving I ordered their Premium Farmhouse Feast online for our Thanksgiving meal for convenience and I wanted to give a review because it was SO good, inexpensive (compared to purchasing the same things) and helpful! It cost a total of $196 with tax. It feeds 10 people and you get more than enough for everyone. You get turkey breast, ham, stuffing, mac/cheese, green beans, corn, yeast rolls. For dessert: an apple pie and pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice bread. The quantities were plenty and we had 9 people. You pick it up in a box the day before at the restaurant and refrigerate it till you're ready to serve. They give you a an instruction list on how to heat everything step by step over the course of 2 hours prior to serving and it works out just right - super helpful. My family split the cost so no one was burdened with too much spent. Everything tasted great!! We will definitely be doing this again next year! read more

Served with ample gravy and veggies over a bed of mashed potatoes, the roast was perfect for a hungry belly. PumpkIn bread was moist and tasty also per usual. I really like Bob Evans. To be honest, I prefer to come here for brunch. You get a lot of food for a fairly decent price. I have had to get food remade on account of it being lukewarm, but overall it tasted well. I love their French Toast specials! They also serves their drinks in mason jars which I think is adorable. The entire time we had a different person waiting on us.
