Even though the restaurant was at 15-20% capacity, it took 15 minutes to get seated. Then we waited 35 minutes for a waiter to come help us but they never did. I have a few issues with my order that I obtained today from this restaurant. 1. I showed up early for my order! Called the number and no one answered. Even though I selected curbside pick up. 2. I had to then come inside and get my food. Which I didn't mind doing. I had a mask so no issue. But when I walk in there are two people right by the phone and standing there talking not assisting any customers and my order is just sitting on the counter. Order pickup time was 11:05 and I got there at 10:56. Food was still only warm at this Point. 3. It's been years since I've went to a Bob Evans and I see why as my wife reminded me once the disappointment set in. The food had no taste was halfway cold. The potato's were only half way done. The sausage tasted funny and the egg was not scrambled it was sunny side which we didn't ask for. 4. I only live 9 mins from this section of town So my food shouldn't be warm almost Cold when I get home. If I ask for something scrambled clearly I don't like sunny side eggs and if you are low on potatoes just call and say so don't give me 7 potatoes and tell me that's a side and 5 of the 7 are uncooked. Lastly: Clearly Bob Evans won't miss my business I'm not even a penny jn their bucket but I mean damn don't take advantage of the fact we are in quarantine and make terrible food and bank on people not knowing until they get home. I really use to enjoy ordering carry out here, but my last 3 visits have been very disappointing. Each visit, I have got home to discover that something was missing. Even after telling the manager about my previous experience, and being promised my order would be right, I got home to discover food was missing yet AGAIN! The service was a little on the slow side, The tea didn't seem to be fresh brewed or at least not from a clean dispenser. Bob Evan's used to be an Amazing place for breakfast. Great food for a great price. This place has really gone down hill. The new owners believe in low quality and small quantity to save a buck. The servers seemed more interested in to go orders than customers who were dining in. I witnessed four servers fussing over two To ago Orders and this after I had waited 35 minutes for my meal which still hadn't arrived. When it did arrive it was lukewarm. The portions has gotten small and the prices have gone way up. I ordered a Farmer's Choice with pancakes and everything was tasteless even the pancakes. The coffee was watered down. Our server came over to refill coffee and drop off the check. My Farmers choice with coffee came to $15.74. My meal was not worth that. Save your money and go to McDonalds. read more

The food here is great! I loved the brioche French toast, I think it's the best French toast I've ever had which is so surprising! $4.99 French toast compared to $15.00 French toast at a pricey brunch restaurant. The service is very good and friendly as well. Our drinks were kept filled and the food came fast, all with a pleasant attitude and smile. Keep in mind this is a Denny's style restaurant so it's not glamorous by any means but it is clean and the food is great. Definitely nicer than Denny's, ihop, or other chain breakfast places. This was a nice spot to go to three years ago but since then this place took a nose dive in the wrong direction. I went with the fam and it was not the great experience I'm used to here. The server was nice but the food was a mess. Presentation was a zero for me. The food looked like it was just dumped on the plate. The french toast was served to as just that, just the toast. No syrup no strawberries that we specifically asked for. I had to remind the server just to get the grits I ordered and when I did receive them they were bland and need a hole lot of seasoning. It had been many years since I'd been to a Bob Evans restaurant, remembering so-so breakfasts in Florida back in the '80's and '90's. A friend recently recommended their soups, which we tried and liked very much; then, we needed carry-out for a sick relative while visiting in KY and a Bob Evans was nearby. The aromas en-route to deliver the meals were amazing; so, yesterday, we tried our hometown Bob Evans for the pot roast, which was the delivered meal. This was the best pot roast we've ever had....everything in the dish was wonderful! Haven't tried other dishes; but, based on this test, the place rocks! I don't much like the location, just because of the awkward one-way-up-to-a-certain-point road thats separate from the main road but still right in front of the restaurant, which only turns one way and other such similar nuisances. This place has become our go-to since the nearest WH is too far away. I would love to have a lifetime supply of their fresh cinnamon streusel bread.. it's HEAVENLY! The food here is good and the staff is usually nice and attentive. If I had one thing not to my liking is for some reason parents let their kids run wild and soon it feels like a free for all. It's like when one dog in the neighborhood starts howling and the rest of the dogs have to join in. We eat there maybe once a week for breakfast or maybe desert and coffee (yes, bad idea). The place is clean, service is friendly, menu reasonably varied. I like that they don't get flustered when I order eggs and meat ONLY for breakfast. I also like that they have at least one fruit pie; so many places in the south only have unhealthy deserts :). I do not understand the appeal. The food was mediocre at best. The service was terrible from the waitress and management. The cashier was the most pleasant person we encountered. The hash browns were soft and tasted like oil. The home fries were bland and not done. The turkey sausage was okay. The eggs were not scrambled and they just toss a nominal amount of cheese on top. The lemonade taste like lemon concentrate with water added. The waitress had to ask management to remove it from our ticket because apparently they aren't allowed to do so. Also my nephew wanted pancakes but got french toast, we asked to get it corrected but once again had to ask the manager so we just said forget and ordered the pancakes and paid for both. The chicken noodle soup was not that good. The pancakes were good and the peach tea was okay. The french toast was edible but maybe a step above the frozen kind. I will not be back here to try dinner, Bob Evans was not a winner, I will not try the other one either, I'm sure I won't like neither, I will not try it Sam I Am! Not impressed with the food or service. Everything was just so slow. For ambiance think Crackle Barrel meets IHOP. My husband and I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the experience. We ate there a few days ago and won't go back anytime soon. Several servers wore their masks under their noses and chin and walked out of the kitchen with the masks down. The pancakes were stuck together as if they'd been microwaved. The coffee was terrible and we didn't get a refill until we were almost done. Our server wore her mask however I saw others picking up food and fixing drinks with theirs under their noses. We like to get takeouts from here and go eat at Duke Gardens. It's been at least 6 months and they still don't have their buttered sweet corn. It's still on their online menu but when you go there to place your order you are told they don't have it. We just walk out and go someplace else to get a takeout. The waiter was very nice and welcoming, sadly the food wasn't good at all. I ordered a country fried steak and eggs. The steak was ok, and the eggs not seasoned at all. My partner got a eggs Benedict and the egg was over cooked instead of being poached, and the biscuit was raw and the Hollandaise sauce was broken. The French toast had NO flavor. But the worst part was the grits. They were awful the cheese was half melted on top and they were undercooked. I do not recommend this chain to anyone who is looking for a nice breakfast. read more

After the low rating seen on this site I was hesitant to go here. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. We had a friendly, helpful waitress who was prompt with our order and any additional requests. The food was fresh, hot if appropriate and tasty. We started with a bread basket and all of the selections were delicious. Then we had cinnamon chip pancakes, kids Mac n cheese and a peach salad for our group and everything was perfect. I had the salad and the peaches were fresh, and the chicken hot and good texture. I would highly recommend this restaurant!! read more

No eggs to order available at 11:30AM this morning??? Really??? This was just the beginning of a myriad of problems for my party of 5 in a restaurant that was at most, a quarter full of guests. There were no fork sets and an empty ketchup bottle at our table, drink orders were tardy, it took 3 requests to receive mustard. One sandwich order arrived with no cheese and it took 10 minutes to get it back. My broccoli cheddar soup arrived lukewarm and my half grilled cheese sandwich had separated and slid across the plate. I'm writing this the day after visiting because I did't want to be too slanted. So my wife and I dropped by with a couple of friends after church yesterday and experienced a twenty minute wait. The only problem with that was that there were at least 7 empty, clean tables visible from the waiting area. I can understand having a short wait in that situation, but 20 minutes? The food is okay, but when you have to wait that long you sort of expect perfection, and it was far from perfect. read more
