Came on a Sunday afternoon and was met with friendly service immediately. The waitress was quick to get our orders and prompt with our drinks. The food didn't take long to come out and it was hot. I honestly don't have anything bad to say. The ambiance was cool and the restaurant was not loud at all. The burger I had tasted great! I really enjoyed my time here and don't mind coming back!

Three of us came here for dinner on a Sunday night. We called ahead to get " in the cue" and still had to wait quite a while for a table. There were empty tables but we determined there was not enough wait staff. After we were seated we had another long wait for someone to come to our table. The waiter who finally came barely spoke and never once smiled or was pleasant. I asked for the usual cucumbers they give and was told they ran out. About 45 minutes later he came carrying 3 bowls and said everyone was asking for them! Our food arrived in a decent amount of time. We started with bison nachos that were just ok. We all got bison burgers . Sides were onion rings and fries. We ordered an extra side of broccoli but never got it. All the burgers were good and the onion rings were huge. We had to ask twice for the mustard, ketchup etc. This is the only place we know that has bison and we have been here many times. This is the first time we have had bad service. Food was a solid 4 but had to deduct a star due to the service.

The food was great but the waiter Kenny was what made our first visit even better!! He took the time to explain everything to us and told us what people ordered a lot of because it was our first time there. We were given this pickled (lack of a better word) cucumbers that were great!!! After 4pm Kenny said they give bread. The restaurant was nice and clean, everyone was wonderful. Restaurant located in the middle of a complex with other stores and has plenty of parking spots. I am definitely coming back and requesting to sit at Kenny's table.

I've not been here in a while so thought I'd stop in. Sat at the bar (my usual) and Katie immediately s jerked over to get me settled in. She asked my name and never missed calling me by it. I knew I wanted the slider plate, but let her guide my cocktail selection. All I said was "not a fan of whiskey.) She recommended their house marg, since they make their own syrup in-house. It was solid, and of course went perfectly with the sliders & rings. Since my last visit, they've added WiFi, so I could sit at the bar and update articles between chats with Katie and huge mouthfuls of food. After the marg, I asked for another recommendation, and she suggested the Paloma. I make mine with Fresca, but theirs are made with Fever Tree grapefruit. It was good, but I'm a little heavier with my spirit pours than she is. This was very precise. Tasty but not a lot of kick. The decor of the place is semi rustic (I mean, the buffalo head is still there!) and the soundtrack went from Darius Rucker to Linda Ronstadt to John Denver, so if you didn't like a song, you'll love the next one. The music is very, very subdued, which makes for good conversation. I need to come here more often. And maybe try more of the menu. It all looks good, but I go here when I'm craving sliders. I'll work on it.

Restaurant was clean. Our waiter was a bit slow but he was nice. I wanted to love the famous pickles but they just weren't my thing. The bison steak was super tasty.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Ted's Montana Grill! This restaurant was recommended to me by my Lyft driver earlier in the day. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted with hospitality and care. They weren't busy when I arrived, late (around 8pm on a weeknight). They promptly brought over some complimentary pickles. I ordered the balsamic blue salad with steak for $20. It was a generous sized salad with a good amount of sliced steak. It wasn't the most tender steak I've had, but it was tasty and hit the spot. The salad had iceberg, romaine, spring mix, cucumbers, tomatoes, very good bacon and crunchy onion straws. The balsamic and honey mustard dressings were both good. It was a satisfying dinner!

Ryan has been our server for the past few times. He's phenomenal. The food is always scrumptious. The only downside is how pricey some of the food is, but other than that this is one of my fave restaurants in the area. The big sky grilled salad is delicious with bison on it! Filling and hearty.

Never tried bison but I like it (from here anyway)! I could tell it was slow cooked and had been marinated as the flavors were amazing and it was very tender. Our broccoli and mashed potatoes came out cold, even when we sent it back though. I wish there were two crab cakes to share but it was delicious nonetheless. Our server was attentive and helpful when trying to decide what to order. The interior had low lighting but was very spacious, quiet, and inviting.

Even a month ahead of time, so good luck). But don't let it stop you if you don't have reservations, just be smart. We've learned to arrive when they open, because the bar and the high-tops in the bar area are all first-come first serve. There are times we've had just drinks and an appetizer/rolls or dessert. Other times we've gone for a full meal. Most recent visit was Saturday before an 8pm show at DPAC, and I heard words that I've never heard before that made me love them even more. "We will hold your leftovers for you until after the show". Uh, big heart for me! And smart for them, because we would not have ordered dessert otherwise, and I would have been sad to have had to waste even a bite of my fave, the roast chicken. Husband declared his "wedge" salad and filet to be perfection, and nothing makes him happier than a couple Dirty Durham's, while I can always find a nice glass of wine. We tried the Apple Crisp for dessert along with a couple coffees, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The Service was also terrific, as always. Always. And sure enough, my leftovers were bagged up and ready and waiting when we got out of the show. Just when I thought they couldn't possibly get better, they did.

I arrived as soon as the doors opened at 4pm on a cold & windy Sunday. Dining at Nana Steak was a last minute decision and I didn't have a reservation. The bar area is first come, first served. The actual bar filled up really quickly, but I was able to grab a 4 top table even though I was a party of 1. Nana Steak has an intimate and welcoming vibe and the service is amazing. Jared was my server and he was the best!! I started with the soup of the day, cream of spinach. The flavor was awesome, and as Jared mentioned, it wasn't a heavy creamy soup, it was light and delicious. For my entree I ordered the 6 oz Filet medium, it was cooked perfectly and had the best flavor. I didn't really need a knife it was so tender. For my side, I chose the potato puree (mashed potatoes) and they were like whipped silk, and seasoned perfectly. I made sure to save room for dessert and I'm so glad I did. The chocolate silk pie complimented my glass of red wine perfectly. I ate every bite. I definitely recommend dining at Nana Steak, make a reservation if you can. I hear the cheeseburger and the rolls are both delicacies, they only make a certain amount a day. Make sure you ask your server about the specials of the day that aren't on the regular menu.

But this is where my MiL wanted to go for Mothers Day so my husband and I took her, along with my brother and sister in law. We got there at 11:30 on Sunday and it was pretty busy but not packed yet. Before we even entered the building, an employee handed the women in the party each a rose! What a lovely touch. My MiL is disabled and so we got her situated in the waiting area before going up and adding our party to the wait list. The hostess immediately got us a table and we were seated right away, which was also very nice. Our server was Sierra and she was delightful. She brought us SO MUCH bread and it was so deliciously warm. I try not to eat the bread before the meal so I can eat most of my entree, but this bread is amazing. And with the cinnamon honey butter?! I forgot how yummy it was. All of my in-laws got the smothered chicken with loaded sweet potatoes and house salads as their sides. My husband and I got ribeye's (cooked medium). When Sierra brought us our check, she told us there was no rush, which was kind but we left as soon as we could since they were packed. I'm not sure if they are under new management, but the service we received exceeded expectations. I was very pleased. My only complaint (which there is really nothing they can do about this) is the noise level. It was so loud that it was difficult to hear my soft spoken MiL. King Trumpet- there's not much better than a grilled trumpet mushroom Seared Scallops- such a fantastic dish that comes with creamed greens and little pasta to accompany it Braised Beef Short Rib- meaty and delicious, exactly as you would expect Chocolate Mousse- a delicious, decadent dessert that's the perfect way to end a meal All in all, you can't have a bad meal at Littler. Plus the service is always excellent and they pay their staff a living wage! Definitely a do not miss in Downtown Durham

We were pleased with all the items ordered - especially the carrot cavatelli and escarole. We had the early spring 2025 menu to choose from. Entrees were delicious but slightly smaller than expected, which was the only downside. The bill definitely adds up if you have a drink with entrees

The Breakfast Fried Rice that I selected, featuring wild-caught NC shrimp, roasted mushrooms, broccoli, edamame, jasmine rice in a soy-ginger sauce, omelet, and Yum Yum Sauce, was delicious. To complement my meal, I also opted for the Pomegranate Hibiscus Spritzer mocktail. The servers were great and even in passing every staff i encountered was pleasant. On a different note, I couldn't help but notice that the water glasses on the table had noticeable water stains. Given the elegant setting of the hotel lighting fixtures and the significance of first impressions for me, it was a bit of a setback to observe this. The hostess tried to find me a glass that wasn't stained but never returned. I ended up passing on water. I would suggest improving the glasses by removing the stains or getting new ones. I would also recommend a better clean-up of the seating after each guest. I saw a few crumbs. Parking was effortless. A parking deck is right across the street. It's free on the weekends.

Christmas time is beautiful, as they decorate the ceiling with garments and ornaments and other decorations around the massive restaurant, but reservations are needed no later than 6 months in advance. If you're fine waiting 3 hours for a table max, then you will be fine. Every single time we come to Angus Barn, something is different. Now they give you a soup or salad with your meal, along with bread! The cheese and crackers are famous among the people and are a great way to start your meal. The bread is so fresh also! All components in their house salad is great. Everything is awesome! The prime rib is tender and has such good flavor. Their mac n' cheese is the way to go. Their recipe is constantly changing. Like what I previously said, something is different every time you come to Angus Barn. The chocolate chess pie is the best I've had. This is a MUST when dining at Angus Barn. You HAVE to get the chocolate chess pie. The service is some of the best in the restaurant business and all do a great job at explaining things. So kind and professional! Once again, if you're around Raleigh and don't come to Angus Barn, you are missing out. I highly recommend you come. So good!

We immediately became addicted to the house-made chips served with two incredible cheese dips--one sharp cheddar and the other a rich blue cheese. They were absolutely irresistible! The only disappointment of the evening was the French onion soup, which was a bit thin and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting. The filet mignons were cooked to perfection and served with a creamy Béarnaise sauce, accompanied by mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My perfectly crafted Old Fashioned was the ideal pairing and complemented the meal beautifully. Although the dessert tray was filled with tempting, decadent creations, we were simply too full! Instead, we enjoyed a scoop of delicious locally made vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, produced by a nearby college, along with a warm Bailey's coffee to finish the evening. Before leaving, be sure to stop by their charming gift shop, where you'll find many of the homemade specialties served in the restaurant, including the famous chips and cheese spreads. You can also relax with a cocktail on the expansive outdoor wooden deck overlooking a beautiful koi pond, surrounded by antique wooden horses that add to the unique atmosphere. Angus Barn is far more than just a great steakhouse--it is a memorable dining destination and an experience you'll be talking about long after the meal is over.
