A large Taro Milk Tea was $4.25 plus $0.50 for Boba balls. It was made with hot water and powder. Despite it being Taro-ffic flavor, it was a runny mess as the ice melted and powder settled. Not really the best blend of Taro Milk Tea I've had. The actual tapioca balls were a-ok. Boba Time is located in a small shopping center full of businesses targeting the Korean & Korean American market. I would never get boba from here but the two regular drinks I get are not bad: Jasmine milk tea (you can taste the tea and the drink is creamy) and Taro milk tea (earthy and nutty and not too sweet) ... I was not impressed by my black milk tea with boba. Even for a large portion at $4.75 with boba ($0.75 extra for boba by the way), I was expecting quality tea. My first impression upon receiving my order was that it was INCREDIBLY pale looking. I gave it a chance anyway, but I was deeply disappointed to say that it mostly tasted like milk. The lady working with the cashier also wasn't very friendly and didn't explain that there was a minimum charge for cards. There was this new girl and it was packed. I waited at least 30-40 minutes for a crepe and a drink. My fourth and last time was also not so great. Upon arriving it was clearly packed, multiple people in the lobby, had to scan and order. The only up side to this visit was the owner, I believe, offered help with ordering online if it was needed. Waited about 20-30 minutes for crepe and drinks. After my first bite into my crepe, I find a hair. Recalling on all visits no one wears hair nets, but this was my first time having a hair in my food. I got three drinks for my family and a crepe thirty minutes before closing and I got it within minutes. The gentlemen was working alone and worked well. Sure, it wasn't busy but I read complaints about bad service and I didn't get that. My boba wasn't yellow (or a weird color) and the pistachio frabbe is on point. I don't discredit that maybe the bad experiences have been noticed by management and they've made some changes.
